Chapter 567 - 567: Astraelynn, the Spear of Dawn
Before everything, you must first learn of the infamous Spear of the Dawnsters, the first and only spear forged at the heart of the Dawnstar.
A Celestial spear that could pierce the darkness and reveal all hidden dangers. Its nature was to destroy the darkness and bring light to the world.
This spear was first wielded by a legendary warrior known as Elyndra Kaelith. She existed during ancient times when the cosmos was very young.
She was an Aurielian — a race born from the starlight itself, blessed with beauty, grace, and powers drawn from the pure energy of dawn.
Legend has it that though the Aurielians are powerful, during dawn, they can be considered immortals, for no weapon in existence could kill them.
Elyndra Kaelith was the sole wielder of the Spear of Dawn – Luminis.
She led her people through thick and thin.
When the shadow forces appeared and threatened to cover the entire world in darkness, Elyndra Kaelith wielded this spear and, using the light, vanquished the shadow forces to the outer reaches of time, where she sealed them at the cost of her mortal form.
However, due to her dedication and incredible might she had shown, when she died, her soul was bound to the Spear of Dawn and set to await its next wielder.
Millions of years passed until Serelya Kaelith was born.
During her time, the shadow force that was sealed away started to break free. The seal holding them was weakening, and the forces on the outside who sought to free them were drawing closer.
Serelya Kaelith was a prodigy from a young age. She was known to wield both the power of the wind and light.
Unfortunately for her, during her era, there was war everywhere, and her race, which once led the charge against the shadow force, was now reduced to a pitiful state.
The Spear of Dawn that had once been used by Elyndra Kaelith had been asleep for millions of years.
Years passed, and the Spear never chose even those with the purest form of the Aurielian bloodline and impeccable battle prowess.
And so, when the force of the shadow was finally unleashed upon the world, there was chaos everywhere.
Many perished, and despite it all, the Spear remained asleep until the day Serelya Kaelith appeared in front of the Dawn Temple and cried her tears of anguish, cursing the very Spear that was meant to be used to protect all.
Having lost everything, he felt sorrow and anger bottled up to the point that when she finished letting everything out, the temple shook, and the one dominant spear that had been asleep for millions of years awoke.
That day, light shone upon the world again.
The darkness that had covered the entire world was destroyed by the light. But all of this happened at the cost of Serelya Kaelith’s life.
Like her ancestor Elyndra Kaelith, she lost her mortal body and was bound to the Spear of Dawn, going to sleep yet again.
Many years later, when the Creatures of the Void came, it had to wake up again. This time, the one it picked was a young warrior named Lynn.
She was left to die on the battlefield, but during her last moments, the Spear of Dawn arrived and saved her.
This time, instead of taking, it gave. It gave life to its wielder, and that was the day Astraelynn, the one known as the Spear of Dawn, was born.
With the power of light and great determination, the legacy of Astraelynn, the Spear of Dawn, spread everywhere.
The Creatures of the Void came, but she marched into battle using her spear, and to this day, her legend is spoken of on every battlefield.
For when the Spear of Dawn appeared on the battlefield, she was followed by an undying light.
Camilla hovered in the air, surrounded by a brilliant light that caused everyone except Kent to watch what was happening.
Camilla was being transformed into her true form. Surrounding her were three identical copies of her, each a beauty to behold.
They seemed to be whispering the secret of the dawn to her, or perhaps, they were telling her about the legacy she had now taken on as the Spear of Dawn.
Either way, after they were done whispering, they transformed into a magnificent spear that hovered before Camilla. When her hand touched it, lightning echoed through the cloud, spreading through the soul.
Then she was enveloped in a brilliant light. That was when Kent started to speak, and the white light containing Camilla entered the clouds.
“The first was the mother, who wielded the Spear of Dawn and guided the light to drive away the darkness. Then came the daughter, who, using her pain and anger, commanded the light to vanquish her foes.
At last, the tether that was meant to tie it all came, undying even at her last breath. She wielded her legacy and, after awakening her destiny, she tied it all and named it Astraelynn, the Spear of Dawn.
Today, we bear witness to the awakening of the Spear of Dawn. The one that will bring light into the world again…
… Rise, Astraelynn, the Spear of Dawn, your destiny awaits.”
The heavens acknowledged her call, as a white pegasus came from the clouds, carrying on her back the Spear of Dawn, Astraelynn.
She was clad in a white celestial gown fashioned into elegant armor. Her beautiful white hair was styled with a delicate golden braided circlet.
Considering she is an Aurielian, a race of women blessed with beauty, her high cheekbones and large, expressive violet eyes framed her beauty quite well.
In her hand is a golden spear… the Spear of Dawn, holding the power of light and justice. She moved across the beautiful sky for a few minutes before she landed.
The moment she got down from the back of the Pegasus, it melded into her spear, vanishing from sight.
“I know this spear; it’s the Spear of Dawn, one of the celestial relics,” Vexthra suddenly said, feeling a headache coming on.
“I don’t know which of the celestials think this belongs to them, but it’s now mine. They can cry tears of anguish all they want,” Camilla said, spinning the spear around.
Vexthra could only smile and shake her head, watching this.
“To think someone that something even we gods weren’t allowed to stand 10,000 miles close to is now being spun casually by a mortal… Ah, who am I kidding? Nothing about this guy is normal.”
Kent smile, “Like Cami said, they can cry to their mommies.”
Vexthra only smiled and wondered what was happening now at the celestial realm, specifically at the palace where the Supreme Celestial resides.
