Chapter 1373 Irregular Pattern
Chapter 1373 Irregular Pattern
Kent took a deep breath, his expression softening a bit. He had just seen more of another life he had lived, and it was thrilling like he expected.
“So that was how I met Hera, huh.”
From the memories he had seen so far, this was the first time he had encountered Hera’s incarnation. He knew she had followed him throughout the many lives he had lived.
They first met during the Primordial Era, but like Vexthra said, as his heart demon, she had followed him all the way to this life too, and that was just too much to take in.
The Hera he met during the Shadow Era was an army general of the demon king he had killed before. It turned out that when he killed the demon king, a general under his command was away on a mission that day.
That general was Hera’s incarnation.
So when she returned and learned what had happened, she decided to come after him.
Of course, what made Faceless a bit restless was the fact that Hera was able to notice him back then, despite the fact that not even his Faceless Agents knew what he looked like.
There was absolutely no way she would have known what he looked like before even coming after him. So the fact that she did tell him the curse she placed on him during the Primordial Era was way stronger than he thought.
“But where could she have gotten such a curse from?” Kent wondered, his gaze narrowing. “There is no way such a curse could come from a nobody like her. There is more to this than I know.”
Kent took a deep breath and let his emotions settle down. He had not even once considered the fact that maybe he was being conspired against, even when his heart demon awakened during the Shadow Era.
But now that he thought about it, some things didn’t seem to make sense.
“Maybe I am overthinking things, but I think something smells fishy. I’d better be careful and find a way to break this curse soon before it becomes a problem.”
He had seen his memories to the point when Faceless entered the Shadow Realm to cultivate and become a god. He didn’t know what awaited him there, but the fact that he told his Faceless Agents there was a chance he might not return alive proved that where he was going was dangerous.
“I will know more when I get more memory keys.”
[The master should know that from here onwards, he would only receive memory diaries for the Faceless Assassin.]
Kent nodded. He had already been through the various stages of recovering his memories. One such method was memory diaries, in which memories were written as diary entries.
Whenever he was done reading such a diary, he felt like he had been there when it happened. So, regardless of what method he used to receive his memories next time, he would still learn what happened in the Shadow Realm and how it shaped him to become someone worthy of leading the Shadow Era.
Many battles were fought on grand scales; however, the Shadow War was fought in the shadows. It was brutal, chilling, and very silent. So he wanted to witness how he faced that era and how he liberated it.
“I will soon reunite with the Faceless Agents and find out more from them. A lot had happened, so I’d better be ready to face whatever danger this era has in store for me.”

After spending a couple of minutes learning more about his life as the Faceless Assassin, he stopped and decided to focus on Lord Genesis’s life.
The last time he recalled that life, he was about to challenge the 4th level of the sword bridge. He had already passed the first three levels, making him an Inner disciple of the Whispering Wind Sword Sect.
Although he was merely a Sword King with the cultivation base of an Empyrean, someone like him was meant to be in the outer region. However, he had defeated a Sword King and two Sword Emperors, which was enough reason to become an Inner disciple.
His aim was to pass the 4th level and go to the 5th. He wanted to see just how powerful Sword Divines were, so he planned to defeat the Sword Emperor on the 4th floor.
“Ten-Star Sword God…wait for me.” Kent smiled and activated the memory key.
The next second, he was back on the 4th level of the pagoda, now possessing Jest’s body. However, unlike the dream where he could control Chaos’s body, this time he had no control over anything. However, he could feel everything Jest was feeling.
The Ten-Star Sword God locked gazes with Jest, his ten swords spinning in the air. “If you can last five minutes, it will be your win.”
“If you say so,” Jest smiled, and then he activated the Broken Sword Realm he had copied from Adraian. At one time, the entire half of his space was filled with thousands of broken swords.
The Ten-Star Sword God smiled and gestured forward; three swords from the ten moved forward and arrived before Jest before he could even move.
However, drawing on his extensive understanding of swordsmanship, he raised his sword and blocked one of the swords, the pressure of the attack pushing him back.
Just then, two of the swords moved behind him, aiming to stab him from the back. However, the Broken Sword Realm wasn’t for decoration. Two broken swords moved and collided with the other two swords, deflecting them back.
The Ten-Star Sword God raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued by the deflection. It took a deep understanding of swordsmanship and heightened perception to defend against the two swords.
Without a word, he flicked his wrist, and the remaining seven swords joined the assault in perfect sync.
They formed a swirling vortex of steel, each blade humming with condensed sword intent, pressing down on Kent with deadly sharpness.
Jest’s expression remained calm, his senses sharp and focused.
He took a single step forward, his own sword trembling slightly in his grip—not from fear, but from the sheer volume of energy surging through it. Jest is merely a Sword King with level 5 Heavenly Sword Intent and aura.
That much power was now being channeled through his sword, causing it to vibrate like hell.
The Broken Sword Realm expanded further, the thousands of broken blades vibrating in response to his will. Jest’s mind is connected to all the swords in the domain, so with a thought, he can move just about any sword he wants.
They did not form neat patterns or elegant formations; instead, they created a chaotic storm of jagged edges, each fragment seemingly moving with independent malice.
It was like he didn’t want to let the Ten-Star Sword God know his next move. In swordsmanship, it is called an irregular pattern.
“Every sword has a pattern. They move in sequences and in a preplanned path. However, what if you have mastered sword patterns to the point you can create an irregular pattern?”
Jest smirked, then he pointed up. “I hope you learn something from this sword god.” He moved, and the swords moved, their patterns jagged and all over the place.
