Chapter 1159: Sword King
Chapter 1159: Sword King
Kent remained seated, his expression calm. However, the sword energy enveloping him felt suffocating and extremely dangerous.
Kent had already merged his blood Qi with his sword Qi, forming the undisputed Blood Sword Qi.
Due to this, not only was the energy around him sharp enough to easily shred a Sword Sage, it was also suffocating, filling the air with so much danger.
Kent relaxed, his expression calm as he sat there, unmoving for six months.
Every day that passed, his aura only seemed to grow increasingly suffocating.
In fact, he experienced six complete changes, with each change pushing his sword Qi (aura) and sword intent to a new, terrifying level.
Even Sword Emperors would have to be careful when facing him. It turned out that in what felt like six months of meditation, Kent had experienced 6 major enlightenments that pushed his understanding of the sword to a whole different level.
In the end, after the sixth change, Kent took a deep sigh and opened the tower interface to see what had changed.
The first few messages he saw brought a smile to his face.
⟦You have become a Sword King⟧
⟦You have attained Level 6 Heavenly Sword Energy (Sword Aura and Intent)⟧
⟦Your Genesis Sword Realm has partially awakened⟧
Only three messages, but they carry so much information. He had become a sword King and even partially awakened his sword realm.
These two things are major events he has been working towards.
“I suppose this is only right,” Kent smiled. The memories he had unlocked for Jest felt so real, like how Chaos’s memory did when he found out what happened to Elina.
He entered Jest’s life and felt all he felt, allowing him not only to remember but to feel what it was like to be the greatest swordsman to ever live.
He felt it all, and now that he is back to himself, he couldn’t help feeling like he had been reborn as a true swordsman all over again.
“Damn, I was awesome back in the day.” Recalling how badass he was when he stepped onto the Sword Bridge, he couldn’t help feeling like there was so much fun to be had soon.
“Sword Bridge, huh?” He turned and looked at the Sword Bridge just a couple of kilometers away from him. Seeing the large sword positioned like a bridge, he smiled. “Now, that is how you create a sword bridge, not a pagoda.”
The memory of how he teased Immortal Lord Ritsu about the pagoda made him smile. He didn’t know how bold he was back then. The man he was teasing could easily have killed him, but Jest didn’t seem to care.
He was carefree and lighthearted, something Elina tried to turn Chaos into until her untimely and tragic death.
Jest may have been a slave, but now he was a free man who would do anything to remain free.
Kent then turned to the third message and opened it to read the complete information.
⟦Your ’Sword Genesis Realm’ has partially awakened. To fully awaken it, you must complete the following:⟧
↠ Conquer the 6th level of the Sword Bridge and comprehend their sword realm (Past).
↠ Conquer the 6th level of the Sword Bridge and comprehend their sword realm (Present).
↠ Defeat 10 Sword Kings and comprehend their sword realm.
↠ Defeat 5 Sword Emperors and comprehend their sword realm.
↠ Defeat 2 Sword Divines and comprehend their sword realm.
↠ Defeat 1 Sword Legend and comprehend their sword realm.
Kent scratched the back of his neck as a pale smile appeared on his face.
“Ah, why did I even bother to check?” Something told him where all this was going, and he knew it would be a wild one. However, since he planned to check, now he knew what he must do.
Not that it is going to be easy.
“The first one is easy. I just have to remember more of Jest’s life and see if he can defeat the Sword Divines.” Kent had absolute trust in himself as Jest that he would be able to, despite not yet having memories of that.
He was about to face off against the Ten-Star Sword God when the memory key he used expired.
But being in Jest’s body and feeling what he felt, he knew the bastard wasn’t known as the greatest swordsman to ever live for nothing.
“I believe in myself, and I know I can do it.”
“As for the others, thanks to Jest and my own efforts, I will get it done one of these days.”
Kent then checked to see how many memory keys were left. However, to his shock, all four keys were used up.
This left a small smile on his lips. “It is to be expected. I have been in there for a while, after all.”
Kent looked at the many requirements he would have to personally handle and shook his head. “This isn’t even the requirement to become a Sword Emperor.”
Kent wanted to sigh again, but he knew sighing too much would make him look weak, so he decided to check the requirements for the Sword Emperor stage.
⟦Requirements to become a Sword Emperor⟧
↠ Defeat the Seven Horn Nightmare Devastating Shark Beast.
↠ Win the Mount Genesis Supreme Sword Competition.
Only two requirements, but Kent knew they would not be easy to handle. First, despite not meeting this beast just yet, he already knew it wouldn’t be an easy battle.
Kent had a nagging feeling he had yet to meet a true challenge. Of course, in a way, he was thrilled about it. However, he knew he must prepare.
As for the second requirement, Kent was looking forward to it. A sword competition doesn’t depend on one’s strength.
It only focuses on sword mastery, so if he wanted to win, then he must prepare well, because his overpowered Blood Cores would not help him.
It would be a pure battle between swordsmen to see who was the best.
“This means I must focus on awakening my sword realm. Although I am Lord Genesis, there are monsters out there, so I cannot slack off.”
It was going to be hard for sure, but Kent had already seen the path forward, so he planned to walk it to the end. After all, there was no telling just what was waiting for him in this sword competition.
Since he had no more memory keys for Jest, he decided to make the next best thing: refine the two Blood Life Seals and the two Blood Death Seals in his possession.
This way, not only would he be hard to kill, but his killing intent would also become much more potent. Aside from that, his sword intent would become much more potent as well.
Four seals appeared, and his two blood cores and flame core came to life. He began refining them right away.
’I have three memory keys for the faceless assassin. For now, I will hold on to them. Once I have some free time on my journey to find Elina, I will review them.’
Kent smiled and sent his mind back to refining the four seals.
Months passed, but since it was tower time, he didn’t seem to care. His ladies were out of harm’s way, and his legions were also recovering, so there was no telling just what he had to worry about.
On the outside, people searching for Kent had started dying in strange ways. This caused most to run back to the Immortal World.
Uncle Drew went out to buy ingredients, but as a side quest, whenever he met someone who was searching for Kent, he didn’t hesitate to dispose of them.
Now, everyone was afraid to even look for him. They didn’t want to die unexpectedly and tragically.
Soon, five years passed inside the tower. On this day, the four seals were done being refined, so Kent decided to absorb them.
For precautionary purposes, he first chose to absorb the Blood Life Seals before focusing on the Blood Death Seals.
Something that enhances his killing intent was not something to be taken lightly.
