Others Summon Dragons, I Summon Legendary Knights

Chapter 208: Vagabonds — Seat At The Table

Chapter 208: Vagabonds — Seat At The Table

“Ca… Can all of you see this?!” The streamer, hiding in a building, peeked through a window as he gazed at a red gate.

A man with a golden mask, a black hoodie, walked out with his hands in the pockets of his hoodie, and behind him were members of Athens Team A and Team B, while a row of golden knights stood outside to welcome them.

Precisely, Godfrey.

The streamer couldn’t believe his eyes when the elf knight he had been trailing, along with other bigger looking knights, all bowed their heads before vanishing into their portals as the red gate closed down.

“Those people don’t look like they’re in a state to fight, and according to my information, they went in there hours ago. That means… that golden masked man cleared the gate, and the elf knight is just one of his summons!” The streamer gasped.

His comment section went wild. Meanwhile, Iris and Atlas were shocked to see the knights. Even after they vanished, the shock lingered.

“Thank you for saving my wife and her comrades,” Atlas said gratefully.

Godfrey shot him a glance from the corner of his eye. “I never knew,” he replied coldly and continued walking, but none of them knew a soft smile appeared on his face as his eyes softened.

’The goblin and kobold army aren’t finished, but with the gates closed, the streets will be filled with Athens forces. Meet us at the rendezvous spot, we’re leaving.’

Upon hearing that, Godfrey leaped over a six storey building and continued until he vanished from Atlas and Iris’ sight, despite their enhanced vision.

While moving, Godfrey suddenly heard something that made him freeze.

’Someone is with me, a member of the authorities.’

That was his mother’s voice, and this telepathic transmission was directly to him. Godfrey’s eyes gleamed, golden armour plates manifested all over his body, and he shot forward.

The earth cracked open, a massive amount of gale rising up as he blitzed through kilometres in an instant.

On a four storey building, Valentina stood beside her summon while staring at a woman who tied her hair into a bun. She wore an executive, form fitting suit and held a small girl with similar blonde hair.

“I’m not here for a fight,” Mrs. Athens said softly.

Valentina shut her eyes. “You would have to tell him that.”

Mrs. Athens saw something flash from the distance, and in the next moment, an armoured being was already high above the building, his cloak billowing.

Six portals opened, and six knights emerged, weapons aimed at her and her little girl as Godfrey landed, his golden eyes extremely cold.

“She’s in danger.” Seeing this, Mrs. Athens’ P.A summoned a black mantis oozing miasma, a peak tier Saint Tier summon which she fused with, teleported, and reappeared above Godfrey.

Her speed gave her advantage over some Divine Tiers, making her summon one of the unique kinds; however, Godfrey’s eyes followed up with her speed.

“No! Stop!” Mrs. Athens screamed just in the nick of time to stop Godfrey from delivering a blow that would open a hole right through her P.A’s skull.

Even the P.A knew she was dead the moment she appeared above him. It was a feeling that was so real that she felt she had died several times already.

Godfrey allowed the P.A to teleport away before addressing Mrs. Athens. “Give me one reason not to kill you right where you stand?”

Mrs. Athens held her daughter tightly. “Show them.”

Freya nodded despite being frightened and opened a portal. An elf came out. It had long golden hair, a bow, a quiver at its thigh, and was clad in green leather armour.

“A high elf,” Lysander said softly, and the high elf turned to him. She squinted. When has there ever been an elf this big? What kind of elf was he?

She couldn’t perceive what kind of elf he was. Lysander felt unnatural to her, a chimeric of some sort, maybe even more than that.

“A humanoid summon.” Valentina sighed with pity. Not at Freya’s summon, but the reaction from the world which was the reason for this war they were fighting.

“I don’t want the authorities to take and twist her. Please… let her stay with you, and I promise to do whatever I can to ensure the freedom of the Vagabonds,” Mrs. Athens pleaded.

“What?!” Godfrey’s cold response made Mrs. Athens’ face pale. After everything he had gone through because of her and the other heads, the regime they had set up to put humanoids in control, Victoria’s loss of her summon, Percival’s attack, all the hate they’ve all received from the public.

He could even remember how he cleared a green gate dungeon with Isolde, saving lots of lives, but ended up with policemen aiming their guns at him.

This world was flawed; it was built to be flawed for a reason that wasn’t entirely just, and this woman had done nothing but sit there and vote for his mother to be a sacrifice for the Perfect Life Era.

It was a complete vote, meaning all seven heads voted to kill his mother.

The more Godfrey thought about this, the brighter his eyes glowed with hate and rage. Lightning flashed from his golden irises into his black sclera.

Lightning bolts crackled from his ironclad boots.

Mrs. Athens and her child took a step backward while her P.A trembled. ’He’s going to kill us. I told her this was a bad idea.’

“Godfrey….” Valentina said as she embraced her son from behind. Godfrey’s lightning died out instantly as he also retrieved the armour, but his mother was already wounded by the lightning. She bit her lips, squinting her eyes tight due to the pain.

“Mum.” Godfrey looked at her. Her wounds healed quite quickly, relieving him from guilt. Although her healing water, which had more healing capabilities, couldn’t work on her, Valentina had a passive ability to heal her wounds.

Recently, it had evolved to detoxify any harmful substance.

“We can’t leave her here.” Valentina told him with a soft tone.

“We’ll take her.” A voice rang as a space rift opened up and Gabriel came out.

’The plan was a success.’

Gabriel’s voice rang in Godfrey’s head, and his eyes narrowed.

’How?’

’This little girl has given us an ally, someone who sits on the table.’ Gabriel’s eyes gleamed.
