Chapter 2737: Welcome to the Void

[You have been abducted by the Void Lukos Arachnid.]

Adrian did not think that he would suddenly be sucked into the Void. He thought that he might land here someday if he made a mistake in using spatial magic but abduction is not something he thought would happen. The Void Lukos Arachnid is the being that abducted him with webs that actually cancelled other skills outside the body of the target.

“It even managed to seal my soulbounds back. What the heck is this monster?” Adrian shouted as he is now face to face with the monster.

The Void Lukos Arachnid is a large spider monster that has a purple crystalline shell with a large red eye on its body. Contrary to real spiders, the Void Lukos Arachnid only has that eye on its body while its head is basically featureless. Adrian did not expect that an item would be able to summon a monster that can abduct another being.

“If it is from an item, I would get returned back to the main world, right?” Adrian thought but all of his hope got lost when the rift got completely sealed without any damage to the actual space itself.

Adrian immediately knew that he is now trapped in the Void without a definite way out. The only reason why he has yet to be polluted with its mana is due to the fact that the Daemos’ origins are from the Void. The energy that created the first Asmodian Daemos is extracted from the Void itself. Something that the Daemos are keeping a secret as this information is something that can make them an enemy of all living races in the mortal realm.

“What bothers me the most is that thing is looking hungry!” Adrian thought as his body is still unable to move properly due to the web’s properties that basically also makes the motor functions of the target numb.

The fact that something like a simple web of a Void Monster could paralyze him when he has powerful resistances meant that Void Monsters are a different kind of enemy. The Daemos Elders often told Adrian that monsters from the Void are either brutally strong or very specialized. The fact that even his resistance is compromised means that the Void Lukos Arachnid is a very specialized monster.

“It should not have tough defenses. Focus!” Adrian thought as the only way he can escape right now is to manipulate force itself. Make the force around him sharp enough to cut through the enemy once it decides to pounce on him.

Adrian can use Force Magic but the problem is that he is not moving himself. He is now waiting for the Void Lukos Arachnid as that is what he needs. Any type of reaction that is powerful enough to manipulate is what he is waiting for. Adrian waited for the Void Lukos Arachnid to move as it is actually lying in wait as if it is checking if there are other predators in the area before it feasts.

When the Void Lukos Arachnid sensed that there are no other predators in the area, its instincts immediately activated as its eye on the body suddenly opened up to reveal a very hideous mouth. Adrian wondered how the Void Lukos Arachnid could eat as its actual head does not have eyes and a mouth but it seems his questions are now answered. He also knew why the Void Lukos Arachnid waited to check the area because it is now basically blind as its large body pounced towards Adrian.

“Just perfect! Gravity and Force Manipulation!” Adrian thought as his mana suddenly dropped to half as a powerful force suddenly pressed down on the Void Lukos Arachnid.

The Void Lukos Arachnid screeched in immense pain as its body got squashed under the pressure of its own weight. Adrian also wondered how or why it seems his own magic is at least 50% more powerful here in the Void. He knows that the origin of the Daemos is somewhat related to the Void but the fact that he is more powerful here is also shocking.

“Maybe the restriction is lifted because my own power is no longer bound by the mortal realm. Origin Magic can be freely wielded in this place after all which means I can release its full potential without the world itself restricting it.” Adrian thought as he knows that some races have something like an affinity depending on the location but he always wondered why the Daemos never had one.

Affinity to a place is related to the origins or special nature of a race after all. Like the elves are more powerful when they are near the special trees or the Selvaggians are more powerful when in the jungle area. It is not that the Daemos does not have any affinity in a special place but their actual place is off world. In a place where even gods are afraid to enter as getting lost means becoming a twisted being.

While Adrian is thinking of the sudden boost in his power, the Void Lukos Arachnid emitted its final screech until its body finally exploded. The body of the Void Lukos Arachnid scattered everywhere as the web it spun suddenly melted into liquid. Adrian did not expect that the web that the Void Lukos Arachnid is also tied to its lifeforce but it was a welcomed surprise. He was thinking how he would be able to escape but the problem got solved as well.

Adrian then looked around him as the Void is not really as dark as one would think but that is only due to the fact that Daemos can see even in the dark. If it was a normal human, they would think that it is now night time as the Void is perpetually in the darker side.
