Chapter 2725: The Frozen Kingdom Under Siege II

“Enough words. If you are not going to surrender then you shall fall! I shall deal with this wench!” The God of Thunder Thor stated as he once again raised Mjolnir to command thunder and lightning.

The God of War Tyr and the Goddess of Earth Sif was about to charge and attack the Ice Queen Elona when two Valkyries suddenly clashed with them. Two of the fastest pegasus with their respective Valkyries suddenly met the two gods in the air which prompted them to be pushed back. This left the God of Thunder Thor defenseless which is why the Ice Queen Elona immediately created ice spears to target the former.

The ice spears flew towards the God of Thunder Thor which prompted him to cut his spell short. The clouds no longer swirled as he used Mjolnir to destroy the ice spears that were supposed to skewer him in the air. The Ice Queen Elona did not stop as she created more ice spears and sent it towards the God of Thunder Thor. She knew what the weaknesses of the God of Thunder Thor was because the Valkyries have already given her a brief rundown.

The Ice Queen Elona was told that the God of Thunder Thor is someone that cannot channel powerful lightning magic instantly. This is especially true when he is in a weakened state as his sense of focus becomes lower. This is why the Ice Queen Elona made sure that her attacks are continuous as the God of Thunder Thor would focus more on defending himself.

The God of Thunder Thor did not expect the sudden interruption of two Valkyries but that is not the only surprise. One of the Valkyries that came was none other than the Avatar of the Goddess Freyja herself. The three gods could feel the divine energy of the Goddess Freyja through her body which meant that she has a fragment of the divine soul of the goddess within her. The other Valkyrie is someone that they know as they have shared a battlefield with her back in the day.

“Brunhild, it is nice to see you again.” The God of War Tyr stated with an amused face.

“I would rather not see that face of yours.” Brunhild stated as she wielded her spear to press the God of War Tyr to the ground.

“So, you are the avatar of Freyja. You are decent enough but not enough to deal with a goddess! Summon your goddess to your body so that I can at least expect a decent match.” The Goddess of Earth Sif stated as she wielded her spear easily even in the air despite its heavy weight.

“I do not answer to a goddess that has already lost their compassion for mortals.” Frey stated as she used divine energy to force the Goddess of Earth Sif to the ground as well.

The two Valkyries made sure that they send the two other enemies down to the ground as the Ice Queen Elona can only take care of one god at a time. The Ice Queen Elona appreciated the help as the three gods are not the only one that came to takeover her kingdom. An entire army of beings clad in golden armor that came from Asgard appeared with a mix of both NPCs and players.

[The Asgard Faction has declared holy war to the Vanir Faction of gods that protect the kingdom ruled by the Ice Queen Elona.]

[All players will gain faction points for each kill that they get from enemy faction members.]

[Killing important figures from the enemy faction will give players at least 100 Faction points (increases depending on the power of the enemy) and a random buff to the faction for a day.]

The faction war notification finally appeared before them and it also meant that the War of the Gods has finally started once again. Upon seeing the notifications, both players from different factions immediately knew that they must do everything in their power to win. Each faction has a Faction Point Store after all and even divine items could be taken from it with enough points.

The players from the Asgard Faction were a little demotivated as they were called upon to attack a heavily fortified kingdom but that all changed when they received the notification. This is also true for the players that are living in the kingdom of the Ice Queen Elona. They thought that they will get nothing from defending but the faction points being offered is something that can motivate anyone.

“Destroy the walls!” The players from the Asgard Faction shouted.

“Defend the walls!” The players from the Vanir Faction shouted in response.

The two factions finally started their clash and the battlefield expanded even further. The players from both factions started to kill each other for the sake of Faction Points. They could only see the other players as currency instead of another human being. The brutality from each side became unmatched as anyone would do anything just to secure their faction points.

What the people on the side of the Ice Queen Elona did not notice is that a slimy being has already entered the kingdom. This being was able to become unnoticed because he disguised himself as lightning that the God of Thunder Thor threw. He made sure to enter even the smallest of cracks and then descended to the inside of the kingdom by himself.

When the God of Mischief Loki landed on the ground, he immediately disguised himself as one of the kingdom guards. His transformation was so perfect that no one noticed but the unorderly battlefield helped him blend even more. The God of Mischief Loki only has one mission and that is to capture the Great Star Gazer or at least that is what he told the God King Odin.

“If I were a powerful seer, where will I stay? The place must have access to moonlight and water to read the stars after all.” The God of Mischief Loki stated as he started his search.
