Chapter 2723: Plans of the Valkyries

“It would be better if you check your territory once more before heading to the north. Do not engage with those gods as of now as we do not know what they are truly capable of. Even if you are an Arch Demon that is on the verge of becoming a Noblesse, you are not invincible. Wait for us to finish our problems here and then we will all attack those arrogant gods together.” Elder Ascalor stated.

“Do not worry. I will be staying with the Valkyries as they seem to have more information regarding the Asgardian gods. They might even know the weakness of each of them as they have fought with them when the Vanir gods were still with the Asgardian gods.” Adrian replied as he excused himself to check his territory before heading to the north.

Frey is patrolling the area outside the walls of the frozen city of the Ice Witch Elona when she spots a flying pegasus that is screaming. Sensing that there is a big problem, Frey directed her own pegasus to meet her sister and she is shocked with what she witnessed. Her sister that is known for her mastery over stealth is heavily injured as she was missing one of her arms.

“Sister Osyni! What happened to you?!” Frey stated in shock as this is the first time that she saw her sister named Osynilegur being heavily injured.

As soon as the pegasus reached someone that is familiar with her master, it fainted because of exhaustion. The pegasus could be seen severely strained as its entire body and its wings were twitching. The entire body of the pegasus that brought Osynilegur almost shut down but some of the valkyries that saw the commotion rushed in to treat it.

Osynilegur is one of the most covert operatives of the Valkyries but it does not mean her defenses were weak. She is on par with any other valkyrie in terms of defenses but someone managed to blow her entire arm out. Frey could clearly see that her arm was not cut but blasted with a powerful force. Her senses for danger tingled which is why she immediately poured a very expensive potion onto the bleeding area.

“Please do not die on me, sister!” Frey stated as she holds every Valkyrie dear to her heart as they really have a powerful bond with one another.

“Hurry… Bring me… to the others.” Osynilegur stated as she fought through the unbearable pain and fatigue.

“You need to rest first, sister.” Frey stated but the determination of Osynilegur made the former rethink what she said.

“There is no time. I can… only rest… once I deliver this message. Hurry!” Osynilegur stated with conviction which is why Frey did not even waste anytime and rode her pegasus straight to Brunhild.

The other Valkyries saw the expression on Frey’s face and the person that she brought as well. All of them immediately knew that this is something that needs to be heard by all of them. The Valkyries that are not assigned to guard duty and just returned from patrol have all rushed with Frey to the council room.

Frey did not even bother to use her hand in opening the door as she blasted it with her foot. The loud sound of the door being opened shocked all of those inside. Some even drew their weapon as they believed that they were being attacked but returned it when they saw it was only Frey in a panicked face.

“Frey, what are…! Osynilegur! What happened to you, sister!?” Brunhild shouted in shock as she instantly jumped towards Frey and Osynilegur.

“I already saw her like this when she arrived. Even her pegasus was extremely exhausted as it seemed to have flown here without stop or rest. I wanted her to rest first before coming here as her wounds are serious but she did not want to. She said that she needed to say something to you before she passes out.” Frey stated as Osynilegur tapped her shoulder as she appreciates what the former has done for her.

“Thank… you.” Osynilegur told Frey before she used her remaining strength to whisper something to Brunhild’s ear.

“Is this true?” Brunhild stated in disbelief as Osynilegur passed out.

“Find the other sisters that can transcribe this memory orb that she recorded. It seems that the Asgardian gods have found a way to increase their area of movement.” Brunhild stated as Osynilegur told her the overall situation but she needed the detailed report to make sure.

“I can bring the memory orb to the other sisters. Please take care of her as she might die at this rate.” Frey stated as she took the memory orb.

“That is fine. Hurry as it seems time is not on our side as of the moment. All Valkyries will reconvene here in ten minutes! I shall bring Osynilegur to the famed healer of this kingdom as they might be able to restore her missing arm. If not then we will need to bring her to Avalon where she can be fully healed.” Brunhild stated as she began to organize the information that was given to her by Osynilegur.

It did not take long for Frey to hand over the memory crystal to the Valkyries that are great in decoding the security feature. The video of what is happening outside of Asgard could be clearly seen. Even the process of her being found and attacked could be clearly seen in the memory crystal before it cut off. The Valkyries burned with killing intent on the two gods that made their sister like that.

“Being angry is fine but the problem is that the Aesir gods have finally found a way to increase their movement area. If this goes on, it will only take a week for them to encompass a quarter of the northern continent.” Brunhild stated as the ones moving to increase the territory of Asgard are not mortals but gods and those with the blood of gods.
