Chapter 2678: Fallen Goddess Nuba II

The Fallen Goddess Nuba used her domain and expected all beings inside of it to suddenly lose moisture but cold winds suddenly blasted around them. The cold winds brought water to those that were dehydrated as if giving them a taste of salvation. The Fallen Goddess Nuba then looked up in the skies as the storm that approaches suddenly created a sphere where power is consolidated.

It is not just the Fallen Goddess Nuba that looked upwards but also the other gods. The ones that had their attention stole are none other than Izanagi and Izanami because they know of this aura. This is the aura of their traitorous son that they stripped of his divinity. It is the power of the storm that could destroy the entire continent if he only followed through with their plan.

“Condence in my Elemantal Armor: Storm Elemental King Susanoo!” Vayu’s voice stated as a being large enough to swallow the skies appeared.

This being is made of pure storm clouds that carried both wind, lightning, and rain. An Elemental King was summoned to the world and all of the energy of the elements condensed into the body of Vayu. Vayu could be said to be the perfect successor of the Storm Elemental King as he already controls all of it perfectly. The only reason why he has yet to become an elemental king fully is that he must have at least half a mortal body if he needs to continue moving in the mortal realm.

The Elemental Kings cannot move freely in the mortal realm as of the moment because Alfheim is still a separate world from the mortal realm. This is the only limiting factor on why Vayu and Soleil have yet to acquire their fully elemental body. Still, it does not mean that they cannot summon the Elemental Kings themselves in order to aid them.

The Storm Elemental King Susanoo usually responds quickly to the summoning requests of Vayu but it was quicker this time. As if the Storm Elemental King Susanoo is eager to descend into the mortal realm. The fusion of the storm into Vayu’s body is fierce as this skill is something that can only be used once a week due to heavily straining and powerful it is.

The Storm Elemental King Susanoo himself has become the armor that protected Vayu. The power of the Storm Elemental King Susanoo did not just attach itself to Vayu’s body but fully fused with it. Even his katana started to have special ridges that is the signature elemental weapon of the Storm Elemental King Susanoo. Vayu’s own presence suddenly surges and it was now at the limit of the lesser god territory.

“Strike True, successor!” The Storm Elemental King Susanoo stated as Vayu made a stance in the skies above.

Vayu’s clothes were now made of wind and clouds with the occasional ripple of electricity. He also has this wild look on him that made him incredibly dignified. With one swing of his blade, the sky itself looked like it bent to his will. He felt it for the first time that the sky would actually bend for him if he commands it.

“Storm Elemental King Art: First Form – Lightning!” Vayu stated as his body suddenly vanished from the skies and a ringing sound echoed.

A powerful flash of lightning suddenly appeared in the sky for a split second and now Vayu is on the ground. Vayu then sheathed his katana and the slash he performed finally appeared visually. Vayu was actually faster than light itself as his slash created a perfect arch of lightning that directly hit the body of the Fallen Goddess Nuba.

Even the Fallen Goddess Nuba could not believe her eyes when her body that is full of divine energy is suddenly cut open using the storm element. The Fallen Goddess Nuba then looked terrified at Vayu because she remembers the owner of this element completely. The rogue god that destroyed his own family and vassals because they betrayed the eastern continent to pursue power for themselves.

“SUSANOO!” The screech of the Fallen Goddess Nuba alerted all of the gods that knew of this name while also having her body explode due to the power of the chaotic storm element.

The name Susanoo is familiar to the fallen gods as this was one of the gods that is a direct child of the God Izanagi and Goddess Izanami. The only problem is that the God Susanoo should be dead as his own parents were the one that extinguished his divine essence. The God Susanoo was a follower of his parents because they were the ideal gods in his eyes but that all changed when he was tasked to kill one of the divine beasts that is considered sacred in the eastern continent.

The God Susanoo was tasked to kill the Divine Beast Yamata no Orochi which ruled all of the serpentine beasts of the eastern continent. He was made to believe that the Divine Beast Yamata no Orochi swallowed a blessed mortal princess. The God Susanoo agreed to the quest given to him by his parents but he only found the truth when he already killed the divine beast.

The princess was not killed by the Divine Beast Yamata no Orochi as she was sent there to be sacrificed due to the bargain the princess did to the eastern gods. The princess was never meant to be sacrificed as the Divine Beast Yamata no Orochi did not like such barbaric practices as it is one of the oldest divine beasts in the eastern continent and has no need for mortal sacrifices. Divine Beasts were forbidden to devour mortals after all or else they risk their karma being reversed.

What happened is that the eastern gods that already planned their betrayal plotted to have the Divine Beast Yamata no Orochi to be killed. It is the third most powerful divine beast after the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong. If the Divine Beast Yamata no Orochi, the enemies that would hinder the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong would be reduced which will make taking over the eastern continent easier.

He later learned that the Divine Beast Yamata no Orochi was tricked by devouring a mortal that was turned into a divine herb. When the Divine Beast Yamata no Orochi devoured the mortal princess, it did not know what happened but its karma suddenly turned dark. The blessing of protection granted by the ley lines of the eastern continent to it was gone which also made it go berserk.

In the end, the God Susanoo had to kill the Divine Beast Yamata no Orochi to protect the people but he also became enraged upon learning the truth. It was actually the plan of his parents as they already planned to conquer the eastern continent with the corrupted Huanglong. The God Susanoo basically rebelled but he could not overpower both his parents.

In the end, the God Susanoo’s divine essence was destroyed by his own parents that did not even show any remorse of hurting and manipulating their child. The God Susanoo was about to be extinguished forever when the core of the Divine Beast Yamata no Orochi granted his wish. The defeat of the Divine Beast Yamata no Orochi did not just benefit the enemy side but also the God Susanoo.

In its final moments, the Divine Beast Yamata no Orochi regained sanity and entrusted the blessed jewel to the God Susanoo. It was the Divine Beast Yamata no Orochi’s way of thanking the God Susanoo for stopping its rampage even though it was not its fault. The Snake Bead as they call it can reverse fate once which granted the dying wish of the God Susanoo.

“I want to be free like the wind, fierce like a storm when needed.” The God Susanoo wished and it was granted by the Snake Bead by turning him into the first Storm Elemental to ever be created.

The God Susanoo has become the first ever Low Storm Elemental and vowed to rise once again should the eastern continent be under the threat of his parents. This is the reason why the entire power of the Storm Elemental King Susanoo is in full display in the mortal realm. The Storm Elemental King Susanoo himself has prepared for this day in advance and even used some of his own Elemental Majesty, which is a special resource for elemental kings, to bypass the summoning procedures.

“WITHOUT A DOUBT! ITS SUSANOO! KILL HIM!” The other fallen gods finally realized that the words of the Fallen Goddess Nuba were not empty.

Vayu could not move instantly as the recoil of the attack earlier was strong. An attack strong enough to disperse the Fallen Goddess Nuba into flames took a huge toll on his body. Fortunately for Vayu, he summoned the rain as well and it was heavy downpour. An enlarge Deep One smiled as he slammed his anchor into the ground to create a powerful swirling twister that prevented anyone from reaching Vayu.
