Chapter 2588: Plans for the East III

The Rampage Across the Heavens is the fiercest war of the gods that the eastern continent has every faced. The gods split into two factions that were led by the Corrupted Huang Long and the Divine Beast Sun Wukong. This war made the current eastern continent to what it is today as numerous gods died in that battle.

The gods that died have created numerous demon beasts from their destroyed divine bodies. One could even say that the demon beasts in the eastern continent are all descendants of the gods that have perished in the Rampage Across the Heavens. It is also the reason why the demon beasts have abilities and the capacity to cultivate just like the humans. They have the spark in them to become gods as well if the barrier that restricts the eastern continent breaks.

The fight between the two factions did not end because one side lost but ended because of the sacrifice from the side of the Divine Beast Sun Wukong. The Divine Beast Sun Wukong commanded the Four Cardinal Divine Beast to start the sealing process. A sealing process that affected the entire eastern continent and any divine beings that are present there.

The thousands of gods that have been present in the eastern continent was reduced to a hundred in just a year. The gods of the eastern continent cannot even leave their continent as the corrupted Huang Long made sure to trap them there. The corrupted Huang Long wanted to absorb all of the gods of the eastern continent in order to become a Primordial Divine Beast. A Primordial Divin Beast is a divine beast that is on the level of the Primordial Gods.

This was the ultimate plan of the corrupted Huang Long, but the Divine Beast Sun Wukong made a bold sacrifice. With the divine cudgel, the Divine Beast Sun Wukong pinned the corrupted Huang Long onto the ground and activated its heavenly crown seal that was gifted to him by the Heavenly Sage. This crown was supposed to control the chaotic nature of his energy, but he used it as a way to partially seal the corrupted Huang Long.

The cudgel and the heavenly crown were not enough though as the Divine Beast Sun Wukong burned through his entire divine energy to initiate the real seal. The Seal of Four Directions as the conduits were none other than the Four Cardinal Divine Beasts which were divine beasts that are at the level of the Divine Beast Sun Wukong if they work together. The Seal of Four Directions managed to activate and the restrictive special barrier in the eastern continent appeared in an instant.

The Seal of Four Directions is a powerful seal that is derived from the blood of the Four Cardinal Divine Beasts. It was also made by an Asmodian that studied divine beasts and how their blood could be used. The special seal also needed a sacrifice and that was none other than the Divine Beast Sun Wukong himself. The Divine Beast Sun Wukong sacrificed his own life and divinity in order to seal the corrupted Huang Long.

The corrupted Huang Long tried to fight the seal but the heavenly crown and the heavenly cudgel that the Divine Beast Sun Wukong used made it unable to easily lift the seal. In the end, the corrupted Huang Long got sealed deep inside of the ground without any chance of waking up unless all Four Cardinal Divine Beasts are killed. The special restriction also created a powerful energy wave that destroyed all remaining divine gods in the eastern continent.

The powerful energy wave did not differentiate between friend or foe. All of the divine gods from the Divine Beast Sun Wukong’s side and the corrupted Huang Long’s side were all killed. The divine bodies became dust that was used to reinforce the seal on the corrupted Huang Long. The next thing that the divine gods of the eastern continent knew is that they were reincarnated as mortal beings.

“Woah! The lore for the eastern continent is something that I never thought would hear about in such an epic manner!” Levin Cloud stated as he is amazed that the eastern continent now is the result of the immense sacrifice of the thousands of gods.

“Back then, gods are not that strong. You could say that you are already considered a god even if you have the strength of a demigod in this era. The differences between the ranks are vastly large though as the pinnacle gods were different from just the ones that ascended. You could say that the comparison would be a child and an adult. If you were alive back at that time, then you would have won against some of the gods.” Grand Master Fu Xi stated.

“That is reassuring. Kind of wish that they are only that powerful now.” Peridot stated.

“So, the ultimate goal of Kami is to have them become gods again. In order for them to do that, they would need to destroy the Seal of the Four Directions. In order to destroy the Seal of the Four Directions, they must kill all of the Four Cardinal Divine Beasts. Still, if they destroy the seal and lift the restriction in the eastern continent then that would also invite them trouble.” Adrian stated.

“Trouble how?” Peridot asked.

“If they destroy the Seal of Four Directions, the seal on the corrupted Huang Long would also be lifted as well. They might become gods and ascend if they have accumulated enough divine energy, but they will also unleash the corrupted Huang Long that trapped and forced them in subservience. They would not do this if they did not have a way to suppress the corrupted Huang Long.” Adrian stated as he was pondering.

“Mediator Equinox is correct which is why we are saying that their plan is reckless. They might ascend to godhood, but they will also unleash the one that chained them. The corrupted Huang Long will also be released, and it will use the powers and prestige of the Yellow Emperor of the Heavens to force them again into subservience.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated.

“They mentioned something called the Samadhi True Fire. Do you know of this Samadhi True Fire that they speak of?” Adrian asked as he wanted to know if the two grand masters have an idea.

“The Samadhi True Fire!” Grand Master Fu Xi and Grand Mistress Nu Wa suddenly looked at each other with a look of surprise.

From the look of surprise of the two, Adrian already got the gist that even they know of it. Adrian wanted to know how a fragment of an Asmodian’s soul became a divine flame. The fact that they managed to morph a soul into another thing is something that even Adrian felt wary about. There must have been another being that did so.

“Did they truly say Samadhi True Fire?” Grand Master Fu Xi asked Adrian once again just to be sure.

“Yes. They even used it on a Three-Legged Crow to make it evolve faster but it was also used as a way to suppress it. The one known as Chiyou used the Samadhi True Fire inside of the Three-Legged Crow and made it explode. It was the Samadhi True Fire that killed the Vermillion Bird of the South.” Adrian stated.

“The Samadhi True Fire is something that the Huang Long condensed when an unknown fire suddenly exploded in the eastern continent back then. The Huang Long even used one of its reversed scales to create a basin that could hold it. The fire that devastated the eastern continent back then were unable to be extinguished by water. It was only when the Huang Long sealed it did the fire condense into a purple flame.” Grand Master Fu Xi added.

“If they can use the Samadhi True Fire then I believe that they will be able to use it to seal the corrupted Huang Long. If they use the entire Samadhi True Fire and even the basin that was created using the reverse scale of the Huang Long, then I believe they are confident that they will never be suppressed by the corrupted Yellow Emperor.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated.

“I believe they will do what you said as they might have used a Seer to verify if such a plan would work. It might have been the reason why their Seer died as using their power to peek into the future of a powerful divine being would have their life as a price. It is also the reason why they wanted to capture the Shrine Maidens of Vermillion City. The head Shrine Maiden is in training to becoming a Seer.” Adrian stated.

“This is bad! If they have everything, they need then they might be moving to kill the last of the Four Cardinal Divine Beast.” Grand Master Fu Xi stated.

“I believe that they are already moving towards the north.” Adrian stated.

“How do you know?” Levin Cloud and Peridot asked.
