Chapter 2554: An Ancestor Reborn

“Beloved! Why are you here?!” The Crazed Blood Queen Akasha asked as she finally was able to speak.

“I do not know who you are and if I did then you are just a relic of my past. I am a being that was summoned from the afterlife to serve the mediator.” Vlad Tepes stated which shocked all of the vampires present and their gazes went straight towards Adrian.

“I summoned him.” Adrian stated.

“If he is here then who is inside me?!” The Crazed Blood Queen Akasha shouted as pain once again surged in her body.

The Crazed Blood Queen Akasha believed that the being she reincarnated into her child was Vlad Tepes. She fervently believed and eve wished that it was him as the soul should have been marked correctly. She even used the fang of Vlad Tepes that she kept as a memento, and it is one of her most important keepsakes from him.

“You! It is your fault!” The Crazed Blood Queen Akasha shouted as she started to grow thinner and thinner.

“You are not wrong there. I guess fate took a very unexpected twist.” Adrian stated with a laugh as even the Fates did not expect what he did.

Adrian basically cut in line when summoning the soul as he had more rights than a being that used a forbidden spell. The Crazed Blood Queen Akasha used a forbidden spell and the energy of thousands of souls to call forth the soul of Vlad Tepes. The problem is that Adrian cut in line when he suddenly used Soul Recall as he summoned the soul first.

The Crazed Blood Queen Akasha was pulling the soul of Vlad Tepes initially, but Adrian just cut in line and created the gate to summon souls. The gate pulled in the soul that has more relevance in the area but because it changed its target because of the forbidden spell. If the forbidden spell was active before Adrian summoned a soul, then Vlad Tepes would not have been called by him.

In one way or another, Adrian practically foiled the plans that the Crazed Blood Queen Akasha created even without actively participating. Still, he believed that the Crazed Blood Queen Akasha will not succeed because the Fates gave him a prophecy and it would still have made the latter fail. The Crazed Blood Queen Akasha was destined to fail but it was not state on how large her failure would be.

“Still, you committed quite the taboo. You did not just call upon the soul of Vlad Tepes but all the souls of the Tepes bloodline. I can hear their cries in the area as your forbidden spell is incredibly sloppy at best. Whoever told you about it is not doing their research because it called upon a legion of souls. Fortunately, the baby inside of you only has one soul but it could have resulted in the child having a legion.” Adrian stated as he immediately started to cancel the forbidden spell by destroying the cursed altar.

“Beloved! Save me!” The Crazed Blood Queen Akasha stated as her voice became weak and dry.\

Vlad Tepes did not care for the had reaching out to him as he was summoned by Adrian and acts only under his servitude. Even the vampire council did not move from their location as they could already see that the Crazed Blood Queen Akasha is dying. She was dying because the being that she created from the womb is sucking all of her energy away.

“She might give birth to an abomination! We must kill it.” One of the vampire council members stated.

“We do not commit infanticide! Hold your tongue!” Another vampire council member reprimanded the one who spoke up first.

“What should we do, duchess?” Another vampire council member asked Duchess Edelblud.

“If the mediator that summoned our ancestor is not doing anything to her then we just leave her be for now. Let her last days be her days she suffers in knowing that she ultimately failed. The important thing now is to check on all of or people.” Duchess Edelblud stated as she was the first to heal Solstice.

“Why should I be punished when all I wanted to do was live again with my beloved?” The Crazed Blood Queen Akasha stated as she slowly started to lose her breath.

“Karma is really something that swings hard when it catches up to you. You may think that it is in your best interest and happiness to revive your lover, but you trampled on the happiness of others to do so. Do not worry because the taboo that you have committed has earned you a very special place. You can die relieved that you will be punished even more in death.” Adrian stated with a straight smiling face as he could hear the gods of death waiting to punish the Crazed Blood Queen Akasha.

“Basta! Kek! Ugh!” The Crazed Blood Queen Akasha exclaimed as she finally drew her last breath and the last thing she saw was Vlad Tepes not having any care for her.

As soon as the Crazed Blood Queen Akasha died, Adrian vanished for a split second as he needed something to do. He left Vlad Tepes there for a moment to check on the being that will emerge from the blood sphere that remained upon the death of the Crazed Blood Queen Akasha. Vampires usually give birth via blood cradles as they call it. They usually eject the blood cradles when the baby is about to come out of it in a day or so.

Adrian left specific instructions to the guild as well that they should not bother with the baby. They should focus on checking if everyone is fine and that he would be back for a moment. They did just that, but they were all hyper focused on the blood cradle because it was giving off a powerful aura. An aura that they only felt when their own guild leader was angry or just decides not to hold back.

“What should we do?” Creepysoo asked as he could feel that the soul of the being inside is extraordinary.

“Just watch over it until the guild leader gets back.” Hexy stated as she sat next to Creepysoo even though the blood cradle has been giving her unpleasant vibes.

They were all ten meters away from the blood cradle as it was giving an oppressive feeling. The vampires themselves could not even get near it which is why some thinks that the being inside is dangerous. They believed that a vampiric monster would emerge and not a vampire. They all waited for Adrian to return as each second that he was not there would raise their anxiety.

The blood cradle then started to move as it showed signs of deflating. All of them prepared their weapons just in case as one movement of the blood cradle made a shockwave that sent all of the beings around it into spine shivering cold. All of them knew it from that moment that the being that the Crazed Blood Queen Akasha revived is not normal in any way.

The blood cradle suddenly caved as it is suddenly being absorbed by the infant that is inside of it. It is a highly nutritional supplement for it after all. As soon as the blood cradle shrunk, the atmosphere became heavy as the oppressive feeling they could feel intensified even more. The blood cradle was actually serving as a natural restraint to the aura of the infant.

“We need to decide now!” One of the vampire council members panicked.

“There is no one that is going to do anything to the baby. My brother said that he will be back to deal with it. This is my command as your Queen Candidate!” Solstice stated as her eyes became deeper red than before as she absorbed all the gifts that the Crazed Blood Queen Akasha took from other vampire families.

“It might be a danger to us all!” Another vampire council member pleaded.

“My word is final. No one shall do anything but observe. Also, can you not see the other impediment he left to make sure no one messes with it.” Solstice added as she now mixed her command with her own aura which made the vampire council members kneel.

“As you wish, my lady.” The vampire council members stated as they could no longer go against Solstice.

“Good job, sister.” Adrian stated as he suddenly appeared next to Solstice without warning or presence that she was actually shocked.

“Where did you go?” Solstice asked.

“I needed to do some negotiations with important people. Thank you, Vlad Tepes. Your services have been great, but it is now time for you to rest.” Adrian stated as he unsummoned Vlad Tepes.

“Please call upon me if you need me.” Vlad Tepes stated as he vanished in a cloud of red mist.
