Chapter 2304: Strange in the North
Chapter 2304: Strange in the North
“How does the Primordial Beast of Wrath fit into this?” Solstice asked.
“It seems that the Primordial Beast of Wrath is controlled by these organization. What is more surprising is the fact that they can control and contain the primordial beasts of sin. If they can control all seven of them then our chances of winning are slim to none.” Adrian stated.
“In other words, our guild alone cannot fight against seven of them all at once. Not a good metric to go by since there are also other enemies like that annoying oni masked guy. His fighting style heavily reminds me of Tai that secretive player from the eastern continent.” Levin Cloud stated.
“I also came to that conclusion when he was fighting all of you. They also have the same mask only different colors and design, but their overall fighting style is almost the same. If Tai could be said to be still incomplete, then the being we battled earlier has perfected it. The gods here also told me that they suspect that broken gods from the eastern continent are the ones behind it.” Adrian stated.
“If you say broken gods of the east then I think I know of them, but they are incredibly secretive. Even the Ryujin do not have complete details over them as they rarely fight with our kind. I think it could also be said that they are avoiding us so that they will not be held in the spotlight while also minimizing the weaknesses that they could show.” Peridot stated.
“A secret organization. A bit cliché but exciting since they seem to be the real deal. How about the traces of teleportation you were talking about?” Levin Cloud added.
“It is a form of teleportation that uses nature’s energy as a way to move but it would take like two hours for it to work based on the runes used. What I did not like is the fact that I cannot trace back where they came from as if the path on the other side was destroyed. You could even say that they used a slower teleportation process similar to that item the oni masked guys used earlier.” Adrian stated.
“Regarding the Primordial Beast of Wrath, I think I found its energy signature familiar. The northern continent is now experiencing severe food shortages. I felt a similar energy signature from the Primordial Beast of Wrath when I visited a place that was devoid of food and water.” Frey suddenly added as she actually came from investigating that place and wanted to ask some elves in Avalon for help in resolving the matter.
“You mean there is another one in the northern continent? Wait… food has always been scarce in the northern continent, right?” Levin Cloud stated.
“Yes, food has always been scarce in the northern continent but the appetite of people there is less compared to others in other continents. The cold lessens the needed nutrients in their bodies but that is not the issue. The food situation has become even more problematic than before as monsters that should not have been in the territory of living people started to pillage.” Frey stated.
“Wait?! Did you say pillage?” Adrian asked in shock because monsters in the northern continent are not like that.
Monsters in the northern continent do not pillage from settlements but just eat what they take. They are also incredibly wary of settlements as the northerners will destroy the nest of monsters that dare steal from them. This is the reason why the northern continent does not suffer from monster attacks in their settlements.
“Yes, but there is also another strange thing we found out. The monsters that were pillaging the settlements are all malnourished and thin. They were not pillaging for their own consumption which we find strange.” Frey stated.
“Do you need our help?” Adrian asked.
“For now, the elves would be enough for us. I also do not want to trouble anyone when the information I have is not that solid.” Frey stated.
“You are not troubling us. We are friends and friends always have each other’s back. I would even drop my job class upgrade to help you if you really need me.” Peridot stated as she took Frey’s hands.
“Yep. I do not want my sister-in-law to be all shy with me now do I?” Solstice stated as she teased Frey.
“Sis…in…law?!” Frey exclaimed in embarrassment as she did not expect such thing from the mouth of the ever-serious Solstice.
“Stop teasing her, sis. Anyways, if you just need the help of elves then I can help with that. You can also bring that guy with you since he is more helpful than the elves.” Adrian stated. “Why me? I have yet to say anything.” Levin Cloud stated in protest.
“Come on. We are helping our friend here so just accept.” Peridot stated with a serious expression.
“Okay fine since you are the one telling me to do so.” Levin Cloud stated as he could only agree.
“Do not worry because I am coming with you. I want to see the northern continent as well.” Peridot stated.
“Sorry, I am late. It took quite some time storing all of the undead.” Creepysoo stated.
“I would say no worries but the God of the Storms over there has been glaring at us since earlier. Let us go then since we already did what we needed to do here.” Adrian stated as he opened a portal that led back to Avalon. All of them stepped inside and vanished from the western continent.
“You can stop your brooding face now.” The Goddess Apophis stated as she teased the God of the Storms Seth.
“I am still unsure why you needed to share all that information with outsiders.” The God of the Storms Seth stated.
“You used to be so cute but even your personality was reset. Anyways, you do not know when we will need them again. Even gods cannot freely move in our continent without losing a lot of energy. I can see that we will be needing their help again soon.” The Goddess Apophis stated as she looked incredibly certain.
