Nine Star Hegemon Body Arts

Chapter 6133 Deployment

Chapter 6133 Deployment

The last of the third Heavenstage Sovereign Lords were hacked to pieces. But their deaths couldn’t soothe the rage in the hearts of the original devil race’s disciples.

With no other way to vent, they could only let out bestial roars.

“AHHH!”

Too many of their kin had died during this slaughter.

The pain of loss, the bitterness of helplessness—only those who had lived it could understand it.

“Long Chen!” shouted Yue Xiaoqian.

She rushed over, sobbing uncontrollably. Long Chen gently pulled her into his embrace.

She buried her face into his chest, tears falling like rain. It was as if a dam had burst, years of grief and agony pouring out in a single moment.

Long Chen stroked her hair gently, his heart aching for her. How could such frail shoulders be burdened with so much pain?

“Xiaoqian,” Long Chen said softly, “don’t cry—not yet. I know everyone’s exhausted, but now’s not the time to rest. Our people are still in danger. Lives are being lost with every passing breath.”

Yue Xiaoqian wiped her tears and forced herself to calm down. Long Chen was right—too many of their brethren were still out there in Sovereign Fall Land, still being hunted.

“Long Chen, what should we do?” Yue Xiaoqian asked.

Though she was the sacred daughter of the original devil race, the moment Long Chen appeared, she knew she could entrust everything to him. There was no one in this world more reliable.

Long Chen nodded. “Then let’s not waste time.”

Turning to the weary elders, Long Chen said, “Seniors, spread out. If a group is under attack but still holding on, don’t interfere yet. Focus on those who are about to collapse. Save them first.

“The moment you show yourselves, the third Heavenstage Sovereign Lords patrolling outside will receive word and come charging in. So when you intervene—end the battle fast and disappear even faster. Do not get bogged down.”

The elders nodded solemnly.

“Just now,” Long Chen continued, “when I killed those Sovereign Lords, I extracted fragments from their souls. Our enemies this time are terrifyingly organized. After locking down this region, they didn’t immediately pull in the net. Most of their third Heavenstage Sovereign Lords are stationed on the perimeter.

“They’re holding back to avoid internal conflict. After all, every faction wants the biggest share of the spoils. They had only gathered here because they thought your group was the main force. Luckily, all these factions are hunting independently. Because they’re so cautious, your chances of encountering more third Heavenstage Sovereign Lords are low. So, even if you only have ten to twenty percent of your peak strength, it shouldn’t be a problem.

“But make no mistake—they’ll soon realize something went wrong here. We don’t have much time, and we only get one shot. Start from the outer edges. Save as many as you can while working inward.”

Long Chen quickly explained his strategy. He made sure to describe everything instead of simply giving orders. After all, even if he had Yue Xiaoqian’s trust, he was still an outsider to the original devil race. If they doubted him, even a perfect plan could fall apart.

Their situation was precarious. After all, these third Heavenstage Sovereign Lords were already exhausted. If they encountered fresh enemies in the same realm, they’d die.

“As you command!”

The Sovereign Lords bowed and set off with heavy but determined steps.

Long Chen then turned to the disciples.

“Warriors of the original devil race, you can’t idle either. As your elders sweep the outer regions, you will form strike groups and reinforce the disciples in the inner regions. Remember not to instantly turn the tides of the battlefield. If the enemy gets overwhelmed, they’ll call for reinforcements, and that will draw out third Heavenstage Sovereign Lords.”

“Yes.”

After the battle, these young warriors no longer saw Long Chen as a mere ally. He was like a god of war. And seeing their sacred daughter rely so completely on him, they followed his orders without hesitation.

They swiftly split into dozens of squads and took off in every direction.

They had originally been scattered, but once Yue Xiaoqian was in danger, they all converged to protect her. Hence, splitting back was not anything difficult.

“Then Long Chen, what should we do?” asked Yue Xiaoqian.

“We are going to do something even more important,” replied Long Chen.

Holding Yue Xiaoqian’s hand, he led her deeper into Sovereign Fall Land—toward the heart of the original devil race’s domain.

Yue Xiaoqian was curious why Long Chen was retreating instead of reinforcing the other groups. However, she trusted him, so she didn’t ask.

Long Chen gave her a medicinal pill on the way so that she could recover her energy quickly.

“Xiaoqian, why is your cultivation base so low?” asked Long Chen.

From what he’d seen, all members of the original devil race, including Yue Xiaoqian, were still in the first Heavenstage of the Human Emperor realm. There was no exception.

“Upon entering the Human Emperor realm, we must undergo the baptism of the devil sealing land to awaken our bloodline runes,” she explained. “The Human Emperor realm is of the utmost importance to the original devil race. If we don’t awaken our bloodline runes, our divine abilities will weaken drastically, and we won’t be able to suppress devil creatures.”

Long Chen nodded.

So that was it.

They weren’t weak. They had simply sacrificed advancement for the sake of preserving their sacred power.

To activate their devil-suppressing runes, the original devil race had paid in blood. They had lost so many members.

Long Chen’s heart burned. They weren’t being hunted… they were being exterminated.

What kind of beasts were the enemies?

Seeing Long Chen’s determined expression and feeling his powerful arm around her waist, Yue Xiaoqian smiled.

“Long Chen, I’m glad you’re here!”

Seeing the weariness in her eyes, Long Chen softly said, “Everything will get better.”

“I don’t understand. We clearly exist to protect this world, but why does this world treat us as enemies?” Yue Xiaoqian asked, her voice trembling. The grief in her eyes was piercing.

She didn’t know what the original devil race had done to deserve this.

“They don’t represent the world,” Long Chen replied, his voice like steel. “And if they do, then we’ll flip this world upside down.”

His killing intent surged once more.

From the mortal world to the immortal world, the nature of things had never changed.

In the mortal world, becoming an immortal was said to bring eternal peace and joy. But the truth was far uglier.

The immortal world was even worse than the mortal world. It was bloody and barbaric—a world where black would be white as long as your fist was big enough.

It wasn’t paradise—it was hell.

Good people never had good endings, while evil people somehow managed to live happily. Just what was wrong with this world? Was the world wrong… or were they?

No.

“When I, Long Chen, reach the peak of the nine heavens…” he muttered, “I will rewrite this world’s rules.”

He could now see his path clearly. A path paved in corpses, a path forged through defiance.

When justice failed, only violence could restore balance. It was the simplest, most effective method.

“We’re gathering up ahead!” Yue Xiaoqian exclaimed, recognizing the terrain.

But just as she was about to speak further, Long Chen raised a hand, signaling for silence.

The two crept up the slope, inching toward the peak silently.

And when they finally reached the top—

The scene before them made Yue Xiaoqian go pale.
