Chapter 2994: Final Message (3)
Chapter 2994: Final Message (3)
The scene opened with Yun Lintian and Nian Shi already locked in combat, their clash sending shockwaves through the fabric of reality. Unlike the first vision, Yun Lintian’s movements were measured, precise. His mismatched eyes burned with cold focus rather than blind fury.
Nian Shi’s smirk faltered slightly. “Oh? You are stronger than I thought.”
Yun Lintian didn’t respond. Instead, he raised the God Slaying Sword—and the eight divine beast souls manifested around him in full form.
The Azure Dragon coiled around his right arm, its celestial authority reinforcing his strikes.
The Vermilion Bird’s flames wreathed his blade, purifying all impurities.
The Black Turtle’s shell encased him, negating Nian Shi’s temporal assaults.
The White Tiger’s killing intent sharpened his every movement.
The Golden Crow’s solar dominion burned in his left eye.
The Golden Qilin’s fortune manipulation twisted fate in his favor.
The Ice Phoenix’s eternal winter slowed Nian Shi’s movements.
The Divine Phoenix’s rebirth ensured his immortality.
Then came the chaos energy—the fusion of Creation and Destruction unique to Yun Lintian. The void itself trembled as black and gold tendrils erupted from his body, rewriting the laws of reality around him.
Nian Shi’s eyes narrowed. “Interesting.”
This time, when he tried to disperse the chaotic energy, it resisted—clinging to his fingers like corrosive venom.
Yun Lintian pressed the advantage. He didn’t just attack Nian Shi—he attacked the concept of Nian Shi’s existence across all timelines.
The God of Time staggered, his form flickering as his past and future selves were forcibly unraveled.
Long Xi’s breath caught. “He’s winning…!”
But Nian Shi’s lips curled into a smirk. “You think this is enough?”
The Blade of Eternity materialized in his grasp once more, and the River of Time surged violently. But this time, Yun Lintian was ready.
He didn’t try to block the blade.
He caught it.
With his bare hand.
Nian Shi’s eyes widened. “Impossible—!”
Yun Lintian’s voice was ice. “You’re not the only one who can manipulate time.”
He pulled—and the River of Time split, its currents reversing violently.
Nian Shi screamed as his own power turned against him, his body aging and de-aging in rapid succession. His form destabilized, silver light bleeding from his pores.
But then—
Nian Shi’s expression twisted into something manic. “If I can’t have your body… then neither will you!”
He grabbed Yun Lintian’s wrist—and activated Final Regression.
Time itself unraveled.
Not just for them—for the entire universe.
Galaxies collapsed into nothingness. Stars winked out of existence. Reality folded in on itself, hurtling backward toward the moment of creation.
Yun Lintian roared, pouring all his power into resisting—but it was too late.
The universe ended.
Not with a bang.
But with a rewind.
The group stood frozen, their faces pale.
Zhang Yu whispered as she tightened her arms around Gui Xuan, “Everyone… gone?”
Yun Wuhan’s expression was grave. “In this possibility, neither wins. Both forces cancel each other out—and existence itself is undone.”
Yun Wuhan turned to her. “There is always hope. That is why there is a third possibility.”
Nantian Fengyu’s fists clenched. “Then show us. Now.”
Yun Wuhan nodded—and the white space dissolved one final time.
The white space trembled as the third vision unfolded. Unlike the previous two possibilities, this battlefield radiated an oppressive aura that made even the observers’ souls tremble.
Yun Lintian stood with his God Slaying Sword pointed downward, his ink-black hair flowing without wind. His mismatched eyes—one gold, one black—glowed with terrifying intensity.
Nian Shi floated opposite him, the Blade of Eternity humming in his grasp. “Let’s see how this timeline plays out,” he said with a smirk.
The battle began without warning.
Nian Shi struck first, manipulating time itself to deliver a blow that existed both before and after Yun Lintian’s defenses activated. Yet—
Clang!
Yun Lintian blocked effortlessly. “Predictable.”
Nian Shi’s smirk faltered as Yun Lintian counterattacked with a slash that severed the concept of “temporal advantage.” The God of Time barely dodged, his sleeve disintegrating where the blade passed.
“What’s wrong?” Yun Lintian’s voice was glacial. “Can’t foresee this?”
He raised his left hand—and the River of Time obeyed his command, flowing behind him instead of Nian Shi.
Nian Shi’s eyes widened. “Impossible!”
Long Qingxuan gasped. “He’s controlling the River of Time?!”
Yun Wuhan’s projection glowed brighter. “He’s not just using it—he’s become its master.”
The battle became one-sided.
Where Nian Shi tried to reverse time, Yun Lintian accelerated it.
Where Nian Shi created temporal clones, Yun Lintian erased their existence.
Where Nian Shi attempted to age him to dust, Yun Lintian simply stepped outside time’s flow.
“Your tricks are meaningless,” Yun Lintian declared as he shattered the Blade of Eternity with a single strike. The fragments dissolved into silver mist that he absorbed through his pores.
Nian Shi coughed blood, his perfect facade cracking. “This… wasn’t in any future I saw!”
“Because you never accounted for this.” Yun Lintian’s golden eye blazed as he grasped Nian Shi’s throat. “The moment I stepped out of the River of Time.”
“You…” Nian Shi couldn’t believe it. How could someone step out of the River of Time? It was absolutely impossible!
“Let me show you true eternity,” Yun Lintian whispered.
The River of Time surged, wrapping around Nian Shi like chains.
“ARGHHH!”
The God of Time screamed as his essence was forcibly extracted—every incarnation, every possibility, every moment of his existence being unraveled and consumed.
Silver light poured into Yun Lintian as Nian Shi’s body disintegrated. When the last wisp vanished, the River of Time flowed serenely behind Yun Lintian—now his to command.
Silence.
Then—
Yun Lintian turned his gaze upward, as if looking through the void itself. His voice carried unbearable weight.
“It’s done.”
Two simple words that conveyed everything. The vengeance achieved. The debt repaid. The endless battle finally concluded.
The vision faded, returning them to the white space.
Long Qingxuan collapsed to her knees, tears streaming down her face. “He… won.”
Yun Wuhan’s projection smiled sadly. “In this possibility, yes. But remember—”
He paused for a moment as his voice turned solemn. “This is only about Nian Shi. Yin is still out there. Yun Tianming couldn’t predict the final outcome between Lintian and him.”
“What…?” Long Niu and the others were stunned. They had completely forgotten about Yin.
“As we know, Yin is an existence on the same level as the Creator. There’s no way for the God of Fate who was born from the remnant power of the Creator to predict the fate of such an existence.”
