Chapter 2650: Laws Manipulation (2)
CLANG!
The clash reverberated through the air, but before Yun Lintian could press his advantage, Xue Muyao vanished once more, her figure melting back into the darkness.
A moment later, she reappeared behind him, her ice sword striking from a different angle. Yun Lintian barely managed to parry the blow, the force of the impact sending shockwaves through his body.
Again and again, Xue Muyao attacked, appearing and disappearing at will, her strikes coming from all directions, her movements unpredictable, her presence undetectable.
Yun Lintian found himself on the defensive, his spear moving frantically, barely repelling her attacks. He couldn’t anticipate her movements, couldn’t sense her presence. It was as if she were everywhere and nowhere at once.
Yun Lintian’s expression turned serious. Compared to Kai Xuan, Xue Muyao’s manipulation of the laws was more sophisticated. It wasn’t purely a brute force but more seamless.
“This is the power of a True God,” Xue Muyao’s voice echoed through the darkness, her words laced with a chilling calm. “The ability to manipulate reality, to bend the laws of the world to your will.”
She appeared before him once more, her ice sword raised, her eyes glowing with an eerie black light.
“When you step beyond the True God Realm,” she continued, her voice echoing from all directions, “you will understand. You will be able to manipulate the very fabric of reality, to create your own domain, to write your own laws.”
She paused, her sword still raised, her gaze fixed on Yun Lintian.
“But for now,” she said, her voice hardening, “you are still bound by the limitations of your realm. You cannot see me, you cannot sense me, you cannot anticipate my attacks.”
She lunged forward, her sword flashing, aimed at Yun Lintian’s throat.
Yun Lintian, despite his predicament, remained calm. He couldn’t see her, but he could feel her, the subtle shifts in the air, the faint ripples of energy that betrayed her movements. He closed his eyes, focusing his senses, relying on his instincts, his years of experience in battle. He had to trust his intuition, his ability to react, to counter, to survive.
He moved, his spear a blur of motion, deflecting Xue Muyao’s attack at the last possible moment. The clash of weapons echoed through the darkness, the sparks flying as the two forces collided.
Xue Muyao vanished once more.
“Impressive,” she said, her voice filled with admiration. “But can you keep this up?”
The attacks continued, relentless, unpredictable. Yun Lintian fought on, his spear dancing, his movements becoming more instinctive, his reactions faster.
He was adapting, learning, evolving. He was pushing himself to his limits, his senses sharpening, his perception expanding.
Soon, Yun Lintian was beginning to see through the darkness, to sense the subtle shifts in the air, the faint ripples of energy that betrayed Xue Muyao’s movements.
The darkness around him seemed to recede slightly, the shadows parting, revealing glimpses of Xue Muyao’s figure.
He could see her now, her movements, her attacks, her intentions. He was no longer blind, no longer helpless.
He was ready to fight back.
With a sudden burst of speed, Yun Lintian launched a counterattack. His spear moved like a flash of lightning, striking towards Xue Muyao with deadly accuracy.
BANG!
Xue Muyao, surprised by his sudden change in tactics, barely managed to parry the blow, the force of the impact sending her reeling backward.
Yun Lintian pressed his advantage, his spear a whirlwind of motion, his attacks relentless, his movements unpredictable. He had adapted to her fighting style, had learned to see through her darkness, to anticipate her attacks.
Xue Muyao, now on the defensive, struggled to keep up with his speed, her movements becoming more frantic, her breaths coming in short gasps. She had not expected him to adapt so quickly, to overcome her darkness domain.
She tried to regain control of the battlefield, to manipulate the darkness, to disappear from his perception once more. But Yun Lintian was always one step ahead, his spear disrupting her attempts, his movements countering her every move.
He was relentless, his attacks a constant barrage of power and precision. She could feel the icy energy seeping into her body, disrupting her meridians, weakening her strength.
Xue Muyao’s eyes widened in surprise.
“You have adapted very quickly,” she said with admiration
She decided to change her tactics. She had to increase her speed, become even more elusive, and make it impossible for him to keep up.
Xue Muyao channeled her remaining energy, focusing her will, pushing her body to its limits. Her movements became a blur, her ice sword flashing, the black snow swirling around her like a vortex of darkness.
Yun Lintian, sensing her change in speed, responded in kind. He pushed himself to his limits, his movements becoming even faster, his spear strikes even more precise.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The battle reached a fever pitch, the two figures a blur of motion, the air filled with the clash of weapons, the crackle of ice and darkness. Yun Lintian gradually gained momentum as he
quickly caught up to Xue Muyao.
“This is it,” he uttered calmly.
His aura surged as he pulled the Frostmourne Spear back and thrust it forward swiftly. The spear transformed into an ice dragon, rushing straight toward Xue Muyao, who hid behind the curtain of the blizzard.
ROAR-
The ice dragon roared as it tore through the endless snow domain, leaving a trail of shattered space in its wake. The darkness that had enveloped the battlefield dissipated like mist under the morning sun, revealing Xue Muyao’s figure once more.
Xue Muyao, her eyes wide with surprise, barely had time to react before the ice dragon slammed into her, its icy breath engulfing her, freezing her in place.
BOOOOM!
The endless snow domain shattered, the darkness dissipated, and Xue Muyao’s transformed figure reverted to its original form. She stood there, encased in a layer of ice, her movements frozen, her power sealed.
Yun Lintian landed gently on the ground, his Frostmourne Spear dissipating into motes of icy energy. He looked at Xue Muyao, his expression calm but his eyes filled with a hint of respect. “You are a formidable opponent,” he said, his voice even. “Your mastery of the ice element and your ability to manipulate the laws of reality are truly impressive. If it weren’t for my comprehension of the laws, it would be impossible to break it.”
Xue Muyao, though defeated, managed a faint smile.
“Thank you,” she said, her voice slightly muffled by the ice. “You are the first one to ever break through my domain completely like this.”
