Chapter 943 - 946: Can You Massage Me?
When Anna Ulrich’s gaze swept over and landed on "Melody Thorne," her expression suddenly collapsed as she remembered what happened last time—she’d tried to teach her a lesson and ended up getting beaten instead!
"Baby, sit here for a bit first. There’s someone I know over there, I’m gonna go say hi."
"Okay, go and come back quick." The man kneaded her butt a couple of times, blatantly suggestive.
"Mm, then I’ll go. After we get home tonight, I’ll definitely take good care of you." Anna walked toward Melody Thorne’s table.
"She’s coming." Nina King nudged Melody Thorne’s arm.
"I see her."
"Cousin, after what a huge mess you made last time, how can you still dare to come to a place like this? Aren’t you afraid someone will recognize you? I’m telling you, last time you almost scared your dear cousin to death. Of all the things you could do, why the hell did you have to go and cut someone’s throat?" Without being invited, Anna Ulrich sat down directly across from Melody Thorne.
"Miss Ulrich, do you have any proof for what you’re saying?" Nina cut in.
"We two are talking. Since when does a mere agent get to butt in?" Anna sneered coldly. "Go, order two drinks for me and my cousin. And you’d better take your time coming back—I’ve still got things to discuss with her!"
Nina silently looked to Melody Thorne for her opinion.
"Go ahead."
"Okay. Be careful, yeah?"
"Careful of what? Listen to her, making it sound like your cousin here isn’t some decent person. Is there anyone like him? He’s infuriating!"
"He was joking, Cousin, don’t take it to heart." Melody Thorne chuckled lightly, looking harmless as she watched her keep putting on a show.
"Melody, when I ran into you at the supermarket last time, we sisters didn’t even get to have a proper chat. You’ve lost your memory, so you don’t know how close we used to be. Let me tell you, back then we almost never spent time apart—you were always trailing behind me, calling ’Cousin, Cousin,’ especially in those few years you’ve forgotten."
"Is that so?" Melody Thorne’s lips lifted in a half-smile, half-smirk.
She remembered perfectly well that Anna hadn’t exactly gone easy on her.
When they met at the supermarket last time, it was obvious those women were brought there by her—probably planning to teach Melody a lesson, only to end up getting beaten instead!
"Of course. Come on, let’s drink to our wonderful sisterly bond." Anna waved at a waiter, signaling him to bring over two drinks.
Anna stood up personally to take the drinks from him. "Here, to our over ten years of sisterhood!"
"Sure." Melody Thorne took one glass, then suddenly let out a muffled groan. "Cousin, hurry and check my leg for me. I think I’ve got a cramp."
Anna’s face darkened slightly, but she forced a smile as she crouched down. "Okay, I’ll take a look."
"Well? Cousin, is my leg already swollen? It really hurts." Melody swapped the two glasses of alcohol around.
She knew Anna never had any good intentions.
That waiter just now was with The Azure Brotherhood, and he’d already signaled to her!
"No, it’s probably just a cramp. If it’s a cramp, it’ll be fine after a while." Anna stood up and sat back down.
"But, Cousin, my leg really hurts. Can you massage it for me?" Melody Thorne propped her leg up on the sofa. "What can I say, we’re close, so I’ll have to trouble you, Cousin!"
Anna’s expression almost cracked; how could she bring herself to wait on this little bitch?
"Cousin?" Melody Thorne picked up the drink Anna had just handed her and raised it to her lips, deliberately not drinking yet.
Seeing that Melody was about to drink that glass, Anna instantly broke into a broad smile and used both hands to press on Melody’s leg. "Cousin, how does it feel now? Any better?"
