My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!

Chapter 904 - 905: Can’t Bear to Harm Her?

"Are you complaining that I’m bothering you?" Melody Thorne jumped down from the couch and challenged, "Say it again if you dare."

Leon Rivers quickly dodged when he saw her raised hand. The marks from last time were still there, and he knew better than to hit back. "Jared, you really need to keep your woman in check. She’s way too violent."

"If she’s violent, why don’t you just stay away from her?"

"Damn, this is so unfair."

"Alright, continue your drama. I’m heading out. Remember to be careful in the future," Elias Hale said, picking up his coat and heading outside.

"By the way, do you think everyone in that bar was an extra?" Nina King suddenly spoke up.

Even she didn’t believe her own words.

"No, it’s a small gang," Harold Chapman had already quickly investigated the bar’s details. "Speaking of which, the owner of the bar once approached Jared, hoping to gain favor under him, but Jared didn’t agree."

"Which gang?"

"There’s only one gang here, The Azure Gate. The family history has been passed down from the previous generation. Their business is extensive, but they’ve always been law-abiding and have never done anything shady. They’re known for keeping a low profile. Whether the bar incident is related to them is still unknown."

"This matter probably has nothing to do with them, but I think Jared should meet with them, lest they are unknowingly used by others and don’t even know whom they’ve offended," Leon Rivers suggested.

"I want to go too," Melody Thorne raised her hand. She had heard her dad mention them before and was curious.

Jared Quinn: "...What do you want to do there?"

"For fun."

"..."

Elias Hale left the Quinn Family home, started his car, and didn’t head straight back but went to the place where he and Melody Thorne were washed away by water. The campfire, which hadn’t been extinguished, burned even more vigorously.

"Come out," Elias Hale sat by the campfire and called to the person behind him.

"Brother," Hannah Hale stepped out of the night, tall and strikingly beautiful, though she appeared frail. She smiled at the man sitting there, "You’ve changed."

She had just tested the waters a little, and he really showed up.

He even saved that woman.

"In the past, you would do anything for me, but now? I haven’t even touched her, and you’re already protecting her. Brother, shouldn’t your real sister mean more to you, including the reason for being here? Have you stopped caring about it?"

"Shana, I’ll find another way to deal with your illness," Elias Hale said, his deep voice hidden in the flame, "but you can’t touch her."

"Why? Didn’t you come here to cure my illness? Wasn’t approaching her initially for my sake? Brother, are you really going to stand by and watch me die without doing anything?" Hannah Hale’s tone was somewhat agitated.

"No, I never intended to stand by and do nothing. You have to trust me; I’ll find another way."

"Brother," Hannah knelt down, "tell me, have you fallen in love with her? Is that why you can’t harm her?"

Elias Hale chuckled softly at his sister, "I haven’t fallen in love with her, but do you believe in intuition? It’s because of that feeling that I can’t hurt her."

In The Hale Family, he never felt trusted, nor did he ever expect a stranger to trust him.

But Melody Thorne was an exception. She truly trusted him, believed everything he said. From their first meeting, she called him her benefactor.
