My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!

Chapter 886 - 887: Lying Obediently on the Table

"Kiki Sutton!"

"Mr. Young, if there’s nothing else, please leave. I’ll pay the breach of contract fee," Kiki pulled back her arm, feeling a sense of freedom wash over her after saying those words.

"You better not come crying to me!"

"She won’t come begging you," Melody Thorne interjected. "You can also find me for Kiki’s breach of contract fee."

She had plenty of money; all of Jared’s money was hers!

"Very well," Ashton Young’s sinister gaze swept over Kiki, "don’t regret it!"

"She won’t regret it, Mr. Young. Take care," Melody Thorne snorted.

Ashton Young turned and left,

Kiki turned to look at Melody and immediately pulled her. "We haven’t seen each other in a long time. How about we grab a few drinks?"

"Sure."

Nina King said, "I’ll head back to the company to handle some things."

She always seemed to be in a rush, unlike Melody Thorne.

"Okay."

Jared Quinn’s phone had several missed calls from Simon Sutton.

"Mr. Quinn, if you have something to attend to, go ahead. You can trust me with Melody," Kiki said.

Melody Thorne also noticed Jared Quinn’s phone ringing constantly, "You go handle your business, I’ll make my way back later."

"Remember not to drink too much. I’ll swing by the company and come pick you up later."

"Alright," Melody Thorne nodded like a well-behaved child.

"You’re really listening to Jared these days," Kiki scoffed lightly.

"Who said that? I only listen to myself."

The two found a quiet place and ordered a bottle of wine, drinking a bit more as their spirits lifted.

Melody Thorne was slumped over the table, her face flushed, the alcohol beginning to take effect in her body. Kiki had also drunk quite a bit, incessantly recounting their childhood stories.

As she listened, Melody Thorne’s eyes were struggling to stay open.

"Those two beauties look kind of familiar."

As night fell, the bar became increasingly crowded. Many men, recognizing Melody Thorne and Kiki as they passed by, began to take notice.

"Big stars, of course they look familiar."

"Are celebrities so bold these days? Drinking openly in a bar at this hour."

"They look like they’ve had too much to drink."

"This is a rare opportunity. Drunk celebrities might need some help, right?" A few unscrupulous men began approaching Melody Thorne and Kiki.

"You better not do anything rash. She’s Jared’s woman. If he finds out, it won’t end well for you."

"What’s there to fear? We’re just going over to chat with our idols."

"Miss Thorne, Miss Sutton, I’m a fan. I’ve admired you both for a long time. May I sit down and chat with you?"

Kiki had seen plenty of smooth-talking men before, especially after spending so long around Ashton Young, so she was now a bit irritated by them. "We don’t need anyone to chat with, please leave."

The men found Kiki fiery and were interested, but didn’t dare make a move.

Meanwhile, Melody Thorne was lying quietly on the table, being very well-behaved.

The men were tempted. Could Jared Quinn really kill them just for chatting?

"Miss Thorne, I heard your movie is about to be released. We’re all working hard to promote it for you. Could we take a picture together?"

The men intended to take advantage of her drunken state to snap some photos.

"I don’t have time today, maybe another day." Melody Thorne raised her head, genuinely tipsy, her mind foggy.
