Chapter 855 - 856: Then Will You Betray My Dad?
"Are you scared? Actually, there’s no need to be. Below is the balcony, and you can stand on the window to help me get it."
As the meeting time drew closer, Jane Rowan broke into a sweat on her forehead, placed the prepared documents on the table beside her, and climbed onto the window sill to retrieve the toy plane hanging from the tree branch.
Timmy pulled out a few sheets of paper from that stack of documents and threw them into the bathroom’s trash can.
"Got it, got it," Jane Rowan said, getting the toy plane and coming down from the window ledge, "Here you go, Auntie has to go to a meeting. You play by yourself now."
"Thank you, Auntie."
Jane Rowan hurried out of the bathroom and made her way toward the conference room.
"Is it done?" Melody Thorne walked over.
"Don’t worry, I guarantee my dad won’t cooperate with him and will definitely work with that Uncle Hale," Timmy said, his hands shoved into his pockets. "We agreed that you have to take a day off to hang out with me, you can’t stay at home watching over little sister all the time."
"Okay."
"What are you two up to?" Elias Hale, who was already late, appeared in the hallway, and Melody Thorne was taken aback.
"Why haven’t you gone into the meeting room yet? Aren’t you worried Jane Rowan will get a head start?"
"In business, of course, you have to prepare your trump cards; otherwise, how do you beat your competitors?"
"Uncle Hale, don’t worry. You’re definitely going to win this time. I just helped you out a lot," Timmy said, lifting his head.
"Oh, what kind of help?" Elias Hale patted his little head.
"It’s just..."
"Secret. You should go in first. Jared Quinn will definitely cooperate with the Hale family," Melody Thorne said, hiding Timmy behind her.
"Alright, thank you." Elias Hale ruffled Melody Thorne’s hair with his large hand.
Melody Thorne: "..."
"Oh no, he’s not my dad’s love rival, is he?" Timmy peeked out, angry, "He just touched your hair."
"Shh, baby, keep your voice down. That uncle didn’t mean it," Melody Thorne quickly covered Timmy’s small mouth.
"Will you betray my dad?"
"Nonsense, I definitely won’t."
In the conference room, Jane Rowan confidently stood before the large screen, talking about the collaboration plans initially prepared by the Rowan family, including compensations made for previous broken cooperation with the Quinn family.
The fact that Elias Hale hadn’t arrived yet made Jane Rowan even more confident,
"You can all take a look at the contract I have. To show our sincerity, most of the benefits are on the Quinn Corporation’s side. If anyone is dissatisfied, we can discuss further. After all, our Rowan family is not the Hale family; with years of cooperative experience, we will consider both families’ interests first."
Simon Sutton opened the contract and passed it to the veteran shareholders, but after they read the contract, their expressions turned worse one by one. The smile on Jane Rowan’s face gradually faded, "What? Are you all dissatisfied?"
This time, the Rowan family indeed offered the biggest concessions.
"Miss Rowan, what makes you think we would be satisfied?" one shareholder stood up, "Do you think such slight benefits could make us work with the Rowan family again, not even enough to cover our last losses!"
"How is that possible? The shares highlighted here are many times larger than before."
Jane Rowan went over to flip through the contract only to find several pages missing, all of which contained the major benefits the Rowan family offered to the Quinn Corporation.
"This, this..."
"What’s wrong?" Elias Hale walked in and saw everyone’s grim faces, "Sorry, the contract for cooperation with the Quinn Corporation was amended temporarily to include some additional benefits, so I’m late."
