My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!

Chapter 829 - 830: I’m Going to Sleep

"No, no, Miss, it was Mindy Lowell who made me say that, I wasn’t willing."

"Take her away," Yulia O’Connell pointed toward the front gate, "No need to pay her, deduct it all."

"Yes."

"Miss, Miss!"

Yulia O’Connell suddenly blacked out and nearly fainted, but a pair of large hands supported her in time and carried her upstairs. "Go rest for a while," he said.

Yulia didn’t move, allowing him to carry her, while her mind and ears seemed to be lingering on what Cole O’Connell had just said.

She used to hate Cole O’Connell, but then Nathan Knight appeared. He wasn’t dead, yet she hated Cole for so long. Was he a fool?

If he hadn’t killed Nathan back then, would he have told her? Perhaps she wouldn’t have hated him so much.

Cole O’Connell looked down just in time to meet the gaze of the little woman in his arms staring at him in a daze, his amber eyes deepening.

"Put me down, I want to sleep for a while," Yulia came to her senses.

Cole gently placed her down and pulled up the blanket, but didn’t turn to leave. The IV bottle by the bedside had already been taken away by someone, and he just watched her.

"I’m going to sleep now."

"Mm, sleep," he responded.

Cole O’Connell remained seated, watching her without getting tired. The more he looked, the more he wanted to embrace her, calculating the time; her birthday was coming up. On that day, she would become his, Cole O’Connell’s!

Being watched like this made it hard for Yulia to fall asleep, but her eyelids were heavy, and she didn’t even know when she fell asleep.

"Master," a knock came from the door outside.

Cole O’Connell tucked Yulia in properly before stepping out. "Speak."

"Nathan Knight is ready to make a move. Should we limit Miss’s freedom for a few days to prevent her from being used?"

Everyone in the circle knew Yulia O’Connell was Cole’s weak spot, the only one that could be exploited.

Cole silently smoked, "No need, just have someone protect her."

"But Master, what if Miss..."

"Do as I said!"

"Yes."

Cole turned to look at the bedroom. He wanted to see if she, whom he had raised for so long, was merely a white-eyed wolf.

What if she was a white-eyed wolf? Cole’s brows furrowed slightly.

If she were, he might limit her freedom, yet he would still pamper her in the palm of his hand. This enchanting little spirit was meant to vex him!

...

Six months later.

The Quinn Family’s hall was filled with all sorts of prepared items, from children’s to adults’, with hundreds of sets. It was quite a spectacle.

"Melody, come pick out which outfit my grandchild should wear when they’re born," Mrs. Quinn arranged the items, "How about this warm-colored dress? Look at this fabric; it’s definitely comfortable to wear."

"Mom, newborns aren’t supposed to wear clothes, right?" Melody Thorne looked at the pile of clothes, a bit overwhelmed. The baby wasn’t even born yet; if they were, wouldn’t there be even more clothes?

"You don’t know, children grow up very fast. A month will pass quickly. God willing, I hope you two both stay safe, and may the Quinn Family’s grandchild be one boy and one girl, just perfect," Mrs. Quinn tidied up the items, "Here’s the plan: I’ll move in with you for a few days. I’m afraid that when the time comes and the baby is about to be born, you won’t even know."

"We’ll be going to the hospital in a few days, I’ve already had Dr. Mo prepare a room," Jared Quinn said.
