Chapter 1550: Chapter 1549: So This Is What You Do…

Jahi strolled on inside and plopped down on the couch behind me before giving Mom a rather pointed look, though all the older Demoness did was wave her off as she settled down beside her with a half smile.

“Really isn’t that bad, Kat. Place looks quite nice all things considered, and the amount of coin changing hands… tidy little profits, isn’t it?”

I just nodded and looked back at the screens, blushing a bit since Cali decided to be an ’antagonistic’ prick as she made sure that all of them showed off things that were very clearly ’porn’, though I was the only one who was accustomed to watching it.

My wife just seemed both intrigued by the screens but also clearly holding herself back from staring straight at me with a rather obvious disdain for this, while Mom was grinning ear to ear as she alternated her gaze between each of them.

“Picked out a nice group of people too. That boy’s got a nice voice; heard it during the celebration, couldn’t really judge it since there were others with him. And the Elf…”

“Mom, please, I would rather not have to clean up bits and pieces of you in our manor, so-”

“Ah, Ria won’t do anything~! Besides, simply observing what is in front of me isn’t a problem, least of all when I am doing so to ensure that my two daughters aren’t being… corrupted by some pink skinned degenerate bi-”

Cali popped into existence with a pout, her almost naked form attracting all of our eyes before we had to tear our gazes away from her amazing tits and instead look into her eyes, which were alight with a bit of irritation.

“Hey, no need for name calling! All I do here is make sure Kat doesn’t get swindled and also ensure she can keep everyone safe! Anything fishy happens, she’ll know about it! That’s just good business.”

“Or an invasion of privacy.”

The Arch Fiend clicked her tongue and moved the screens around to create a better viewing experience before drifting back towards me, floating just above my head and saying “There is no such thing as privacy in these places… everyone knows that. Surely you aren’t naive enough to think a brothel or nightclub operates on a policy of trust between its employees and customers?”

That actually made Mom chuckle as she nodded in agreement, and after a moment of observing the screens she looked back at the Arch Fiend and said “Get me a glass of something, preferably chilled. Any sort of liquor’ll do.”

I was also surprised to see Cali just puff out of existence before coming back a few moments later, a tray in her hands that was holding four glasses; landing on the ground and sauntering over to Mom, she smiled and blew into the glass before handing it to her with a wink, causing the Demoness to raise a brow.

Then she turned and leaned forwards just a bit too much as she handed Jahi a glass of something red, making sure her cleavage was emphasized to the extreme; as I went to dig a needle into her proffered backside she spun around and leaned against the desk, giving me a wink as she placed a glass of something in my hands before clinking her own against it.

“Cheers~!”

Taking a sniff of it, I found that it was just some sort of juice or something, so I sipped it before placing it on the desk as I turned back to the screens, looking at the happenings of the lounge and praying that Cori wasn’t being… Cori.

I had better luck with the sun turning pink, because my Goblin shortstack was currently going wild atop her customer’s lap, eagerly swallowing every single inch of them with her lower mouth while also chatting up a storm with the customer nearby, who was shifting around to get comfortable.

“That’s fun. You don’t operate on a more… controlled basis? Just let them do as they please?”

Coughing, I watched Cori shiver atop that customer’s lap before taking a breath as I replied “It brings in a lot more revenue if they are able to… see what they want to spend coin on. Plus it loosens… a lot.”

Mom just snorted in amusement as she nodded in agreement, staring at the screen for a few seconds longer before she loosely gestured at the Elf, asking “How much more lucrative is she compared to the others? That’s a lot~ of… everything.”

As I was in the midst of just distracting myself from how weird this was by bringing out the books and explaining everything logically, the doors opened once more to reveal none other than Mother Ria, who walked inside somewhat stiffly.

Her eyes swept around before locking onto the office, where she promptly began to stomp on over with a bit of a glow to her eyes that had Cali acting quite quickly, the Arch Fiend scooping all of our glasses away, vanishing the screens and then disappearing before Mother Ria entered.

The three of us immediately shifted to act like we were only talking about the numbers, though to someone as accustomed to us as Mother Ria the guilt was far too obvious, especially since she could likely smell the linger sweetness of Cali.

For a moment that sweet smell from the Arch Fiend was slowly pushed away by the deathly scent of ozone that we all were a bit too familiar with, though after another moment she took a breath and dragged a chair over to the desk, taking the ledger from me and reading over the numbers.

Maybe it was entirely because she was so accustomed to being almost atop the world, or maybe it was just in her nature to be idiotic, but Mom couldn’t help but smirk as she said “Yeah, the numbers are looking really good aren’t they? That Elf in particular, she’s bringing in a lot~ of profit~! You can see why, can’t you?”

That immediately brought that ozone back manyfold, though after a moment of almost tearing the ledger in half Mother Ria just smiled sweetly and looked towards her wife, who grinned back at her as she awaited a reply.
