My Husband Is An International Idol

Chapter 79: Welcome To France

Chapter 79: Welcome To France

The moment the aircraft’s wheels touched the runway at Charles de Gaulle Airport, a wave of excitement spread throughout the cabin.

"We’re here..."

Nicole whispered while looking out the window.

Paris.

The City of Light.

For Pulse, it was another stop on another successful world tour.

For the others, it was the beginning of history.

The aircraft taxied toward a secluded section of the airport reserved for government and diplomatic arrivals.

Unlike previous overseas tours, this arrival had been arranged directly by the French government.

The invitation had come from the President himself. Because of that, extraordinary security measures had been prepared.

Robin looked outside before smiling.

"They really weren’t joking."

Nathan leaned across the aisle.

"What?"

Robin pointed toward the window.

Outside, dozens of French police officers stood in formation. Black security vehicles surrounded the aircraft. Members of the Presidential Security Group waited beside the terminal. Even airport operations had temporarily restricted access to the area.

Emily blinked.

"...I feel important."

River laughed.

"You are. We all are."

Matthew stood from his seat.

"Remember, this isn’t just a concert. You’re representing St. Claire Entertainment."

"And more importantly..." He smiled proudly. "Our country."

Everyone nodded.

"Yes, Chairman."

The cabin doors finally opened. Cool autumn air rushed inside. Paris welcomed them with clear blue skies and a pleasant breeze.

One by one, they descended the aircraft stairs.

The moment Chris appeared, a loud roar echoed across the restricted viewing area.

"Chris!"

"Pulse!"

"We love you!"

The Sterling cousins looked surprised.

Even though the arrival had been kept confidential, hundreds of fans had somehow gathered outside the secured perimeter.

Fans from different countries waved banners and light sticks while chanting Pulse’s name.

The police immediately formed a protective corridor. The security arrangements were flawless. No one could approach the artists. Yet the fans remained close enough to cheer.

River smiled brightly and waved. The crowd screamed even louder. Aaron bowed politely. Leo raised a hand in greeting.

Nathan looked completely overwhelmed.

"They know me?"

One group of fans immediately shouted,

"Welcome, Nathan!"

"We’ve been waiting for the new member!"

Nathan froze. "They... know me."

Emily laughed. "The internet never sleeps."

Rhythm followed behind Pulse. The girls were visibly nervous.

Then someone suddenly shouted,

"Nicole!"

Another voice followed.

"Rose!"

"We’re excited for Rhythm!"

Soon...

More voices joined.

"Hailey!"

"Audrey!"

"Catherine!"

"Helena!"

The six girls looked at one another in disbelief. Their group hadn’t even officially debuted yet.

Nicole covered her mouth.

"They know us..."

Rose’s blue eyes sparkled.

"I didn’t expect this."

Liliana smiled warmly.

"They’ve been waiting for all of you."

The girls immediately waved. The fans responded with louder cheers.

Then, someone called another name.

"Liliana!"

Chris instinctively turned.

Several fans held large photographs from the Gucci and Prada campaigns.

Others carried banners reading:

WELCOME TO PARIS, CHRIS & LILIANA!

Another banner read:

FOREVER CHOSEN.

Liliana looked stunned.

"They made banners..."

Chris quietly smiled.

"I told you. They love you."

She laughed softly. "I still can’t believe it."

One little girl stood on her father’s shoulders and shouted in English,

"Miss Sterling, you’re so pretty!"

Chris laughed.

Liliana’s cheeks instantly turned pink.

Emily leaned toward Nathan.

"I think she’s never getting used to that."

Nathan nodded.

"No chance."

After greeting the fans, everyone entered a waiting motorcade.

The convoy looked more like a presidential escort than transportation for entertainers.

Police motorcycles led the route. Black armored SUVs surrounded the artists’ vehicles. A helicopter even circled above.

Nathan stared outside.

"...Is this normal?"

Robin answered immediately.

"No."

"This is because the President personally invited us."

Leo looked impressed.

"I’ve performed overseas many times."

"This is the first time we’ve received this level of security."

Chris looked toward Liliana.

He finally allowed himself to relax.

For now, she was safe.

The drive into Paris was breathtaking. The group admired historic buildings lining the elegant streets. Cafés spilled onto sidewalks. People enjoyed late afternoon coffee beneath colorful umbrellas.

Nicole practically glued herself to the window.

"It’s exactly like the movies."

Hailey laughed.

"No. I think it’s prettier."

They crossed the Seine River. Then finally, the convoy slowed before enormous iron gates.

Nathan looked outside.

"...No way."

Beyond the gates stood one of France’s most recognizable buildings.

The Élysée Palace.

The official residence of the President of France.

Rose swallowed.

"We’re really meeting... the President?"

Robin smiled.

"In about five minutes."

Emily immediately fixed everyone’s clothes.

"No wrinkles."

"No messy hair."

"No embarrassing anyone."

River looked at his jacket. "Do I look okay?"

Nicole smiled. "You look fine. You’ve asked three times already."

Aaron quietly adjusted his cuffs. Even Leo looked unusually serious.

Matthew stood near the entrance of the vehicle.

"Everyone."

They immediately gave him their attention.

"Remember your manners. Be yourselves. Today isn’t simply a courtesy visit. It’s an opportunity to strengthen friendships between nations."

Everyone nodded together.

"Yes, Chairman."

The palace gates slowly opened.

As the convoy entered the magnificent courtyard, the architecture immediately captivated everyone.

Elegant cream-colored stone walls reflected the afternoon sunlight. Large French flags fluttered proudly above the palace. Rows of perfectly maintained gardens surrounded the historic residence.

Uniformed members of the Republican Guard stood motionless near the entrance.

Nicole whispered,

"I’ve only seen places like this in documentaries."

Liliana smiled. "It feels unreal."

Chris carefully reached for her hand without being seen by the other members of Rhythm.

She looked at him. "Nervous?"

He smiled. "A little."

She laughed. "I thought international idols never got nervous."

"Meeting millions of fans? No problem." Meeting a President?" He chuckled. "Different story."

When the convoy finally stopped before the palace entrance, several officials walked down the grand staircase to welcome them.

Robin quietly adjusted his tie while Matthew straightened his suit.

The members of Pulse stood proudly, then Rhythm instinctively formed a line beside them.

Liliana took a deep breath.

France had welcomed them with cheers.

Now, one of the most important meetings of their careers was about to begin.

None of them knew that this visit to the Élysée Palace would become more than a diplomatic courtesy.

It would become the beginning of St. Claire Entertainment’s expansion onto the global stage.
