My Horny Stepmom Turns Me into Her Vampire Slave

Chapter 226: B - So much for Tyler being a gentleman…

Chapter 226: B - Finding Melania

"Please, Axel! Help me find Melania! She’s nowhere to be found, and it’s already dark! I’m scared she did something stupid... or worse, that something terrible happened to her!" Naomi pleads.

Ever since she ran away from Cordesol Meat around noon, Melania hasn’t come home, and Naomi is terrified she’s trying to make her way back to Philadelphia to be with her boyfriend. Just as likely, though, she’s simply gotten lost... or worse, some creep has taken far too much interest in her already far-too-developed body.

The authorities have already been notified, of course, but every extra pair of eyes helps.

That’s why Naomi didn’t hesitate to call me, and I accepted immediately, starting with the outskirts — the only areas none of the others besides me can search without putting themselves in danger.

Strangely enough, there’s still no sign of Kimberly.

Maybe that very important commitment wasn’t just an excuse after all.

Instead, someone else has decided to spend the evening glued to my ass.

Philip Serghel, alias Black — Frank Pyton’s tiefling right-hand man.

I’ve heard plenty about him, but this is the first time I’ve seen him in person. And I have to admit... he’s really... strange.

He looks only a few years older than me, and the weirdest part is that I can’t even tell whether he’s a man or a woman.

His blond curls fall softly over his shoulders, and the delicate features of his angelic face look more feminine, yet his voice leans slightly masculine.

As if that weren’t confusing enough, beneath his long black coat, his figure is clearly slim with slightly rounded hips like a woman’s, yet his chest is completely flat.

Either way, I seriously doubt it’s a coincidence that we ran into each other less than twenty minutes after I left the house. Whatever the reason for his sudden appearance, though, he doesn’t seem to have any intention of leaving me alone.

Why can’t I ever get a moment’s peace?

At this point, I would’ve much rather had Kimberly following me around.

"Frank’s mansion isn’t that way," Philip murmurs in his usual sugary voice — far too sweet for someone who’s at least a couple of years older than me.

"I know," I reply flatly, keeping up my brisk pace without even sparing him a glance.

"Then where are you going? I hope you’re not hunting humans. That’s dangerous for a weak vampire like you, especially with all the Monster Slayers sweeping the streets of New York."

I’m just about to tell him something along the lines of, "None of your fucking business", when a brilliant idea suddenly pops into my head.

"I’m looking for a twelve-year-old girl. She might be lost somewhere in New York, so make yourself useful and help me find her."

Asking someone like him for help is probably not the smartest idea in the world, but honestly, I don’t feel like spending the entire night looking for a rude girl who, as far as I’m concerned, could disappear forever.

I’m only doing this to spare Naomi and Britney even more pain.

"Why should I help you when you’ve always refused to work with us?"

"Because I’m asking you to."

Philip bursts out laughing.

"I like you, Axel Lustsilk. I really do. You’re honestly hilarious. How about we make a deal? I’ll help you find that girl — and trust me, with all my connections in New York, if she’s really here, I could find her in a matter of minutes. And you..."

A shiver of disgust runs through my entire body as his hand gently comes to rest against my chest, his voice growing even softer and warmer.

He doesn’t say another word, but he doesn’t have to.

The message is crystal clear.

I’d suspected Philip swung that way from the moment I first saw him, so I’m not exactly surprised. Still...

"Take your hand off me, or I’ll cut it off," I growl, glaring daggers at him.

Philip pulls it back immediately, an annoyed look crossing his face as he slips into the classic pout of someone who just got rejected.

"I figured after all the women you’ve been with, you might be interested in trying something a little... different. Trust me, there are things I can do with my mouth that no woman you fuck could ever match." As he says it, Philip gives me a wink, wearing a revoltingly lustful grin.

"You disgust me."

"Oh, Axel, you’re so old-fashioned... Anyway, tell me about this friend of yours. If you don’t describe her, it’ll be pretty hard to find her."

"Her name’s Melania Narkhalis. She’s twelve, though she doesn’t look a day over sixteen. She has long brown hair tied in a ponytail, with a pink streak hanging over her eye. When she disappeared, she was wearing a cropped T-shirt, shorts, and a cap. That’s all."

"Narkhalis... a pink streak hanging over her eye... interesting," Philip repeats, sounding far too suspicious, a faint smile tugging at his lips.

"What’s so interesting?"

"Nothing. Nothing at all..." he murmurs with a casual shrug, even though it’s obvious he’s hiding something from me.

But this isn’t the time to waste time on details like that.

Philip pulls out his phone and spends the next few minutes making call after call, giving a detailed description of the missing girl.

Oddly enough, he keeps putting way too much emphasis on her last name and the pink streak in her hair, as if those were the only two things about Melania that actually mattered.

This whole situation smells worse by the minute.

I’m starting to regret asking that tiefling for help.

To be honest, I’m not even convinced we’ll actually find her. As plausible as it sounds that Melania might be wandering aimlessly somewhere in New York, it still feels pretty unlikely to me.

My expectations for this search couldn’t be lower, which is exactly why I’m completely caught off guard when, less than ten minutes after Philip’s first call, one of his lackeys calls him back to report that a girl matching Melania’s description has been spotted in the parking lot of a pier near 12th Avenue.

Fuck... he actually pulled it off, and in record time too.

Turns out asking him for help was the right call after all, despite how skeptical I was at first.

12th Avenue is only a couple of kilometers from here. Perfect. This couldn’t have worked out any better.

I can’t wait to drag that stupid brat back and let Naomi know she’s safe.

I’m sure she’ll find a way to reward all my hard work, if you know what I mean... And who knows? Maybe Britney will be impressed enough by my determination to give me a night I’ll never forget.

Still, fantasizing about a threesome with Naomi and her aunt is probably nothing more than wishful thinking.

Even so, despite everything seeming to be falling perfectly into place... I still can’t get Philip’s strange fixation on the Narkhalis name and Melania’s pink streak out of my head.

There’s definitely something going on. I’m sure of it.

But what?

Whatever it is, I have a feeling I’m about to find out...

And above all, I doubt it’s anything good.
