My Horny Stepmom Turns Me into Her Vampire Slave

Chapter 186: One-sided clash

Chapter 186: One-sided clash

"Pff... honestly, I expected more from Zayn Thzraneel’s little brother. Not that your brother was anything special — back when we were both in the Crimson Requiem, he was easily the weakest of us all. But you... you’re a complete nobody, even compared to him. What a disappointment..." Dorian mutters.

He lets out a long, disappointed sigh as he walks toward Leon, who lies collapsed in a pool of blood not far away.

His body is covered in wounds from head to toe, and he’s so drained that he can’t even regenerate them properly anymore.

Leon reaches out with a trembling hand toward the rapier he dropped after the last attack.

He grabs it and struggles back to his feet, but Dorian has already reached him despite his slow, unhurried steps.

Taking advantage of the close distance, Leon suddenly thrusts his rapier toward his opponent’s heart, but it gets him nowhere.

Dorian knocks the attack aside with one of his twin swords so hard that the rapier flies out of Leon’s hand.

At the same time, he drives the second blade straight through Leon’s shoulder.

A sharp scream of pain bursts from Leon’s mouth, only growing more agonizing when Dorian starts twisting the sword inside the wound.

"Come on, is that really the best you’ve got? How am I supposed to brag to my teammates about killing you and claim the points I’m owed? I’ve killed farmers who fought better than you. What a disappointment... you’re not even worth five points."

"Y-You’re a real piece of shit, you know that?" Leon growls, gritting his teeth, stained red by the blood pouring nonstop from his mouth. "You talk so damn big... just because you’re stronger than me. Wow... what an incredible display of courage and honor!"

Dorian stares at him in confusion, then bursts out laughing.

"What kind of accusation is that? Of course people talk big around those weaker than them. Only an idiot would do it with someone stronger. And unfortunately for you, I’m the strong one... and you’re the weak one. Instead of running your mouth, use your hands and fight, loser!"

"Sh-Shut your fucking mouth, you arrogant bastard!"

With a sudden burst of determination, Leon forms a new rapier and swings it in a wide slash at Dorian’s legs, forcing him to jump back.

Then, he quickly struggles back to his feet.

With every passing second, he grows weaker as blood continues pouring from his countless wounds, still far from fully healed.

"I hope all that fighting spirit wasn’t used up on that pathetic little counterattack. I’ll tell you what... you’ve got ten seconds to prove you’re not completely worthless. After that, I’ll put you out of your misery. I’ve got more important things to take care of, and the only reason I’ve wasted this much time on you is because I wanted to have a little fun before getting down to the real job. Besides, a little warm-up never hurts."

Dorian points both swords at Leon.

"Come on, show me your best move, loser. Then I can finally kill you."

"I-I’ve got some bad news for you, piece of shit. I... can’t die!" Leon pants, his voice shaking with pain and exhaustion.

"What the hell do you mean you can’t die?"

"I-I mean exactly what I said. A while back, I made a promise to a close friend... I promised we’d grow stronger together... strong enough to avenge our parents..."

Leon’s gaze drifts into the distance, toward where Zayn, Isabelle, and Constantine are locked in a fierce battle.

"...my brother has become unbelievably strong. Much stronger than I remembered. And even if he dies tonight... I won’t be satisfied. I was supposed to be the one to kill him. But if one day I become even stronger than he is now... then I’ll finally be able to say my revenge is complete. And unfortunately for you, I don’t plan on dying before that. If I’m really going to surpass Zayn... there’s no way I’m losing to someone like you!"

After a brief silence, Dorian bursts into loud laughter.

"Damn, kid, you should’ve said that from the start. You actually had me worried for a second, you know? I thought you really had some kind of immortality... but you’re just spouting sentimental nonsense."

A sinister grin spreads across his face.

"Anyway, your ten seconds are up. Wasting them on pathetic speeches wasn’t a very smart move. Goodbye, loser!"

"You’ve got it all wrong if you think this is over!"

Leon forms yet another rapier, and a surge of energy erupts around him, growing stronger with every passing second.

Dorian watches him with a faint smile.

"Oh... so all that pointless talking was just to buy time and gather the last pathetic scraps of your energy. Go on... impress me."

"You can fucking count on it, bastard!"

"I hope so. Anyway..."

Dorian drives one of his swords into the ground.

"...from now on, I’ll only use one weapon too. Just to make things a little more even. Though, to be honest, if I really wanted a fair fight against you, I’d have to go back to when I was ten years old."

"You’re going to regret making a fool out of me!"

Leon grips his rapier tightly with both hands and charges at his opponent with more speed and power than he’s ever reached before.

For the first time, Dorian is caught off guard by the sudden burst of speed.

Every muscle in Leon’s body is pushed to its absolute limit as he closes the distance between them in an instant.

Pouring every last bit of energy into the attack, he drives his rapier straight through Dorian’s heart.

Or at least... that was the plan.

"Not bad. That last burst of speed was actually pretty impressive. See? When you really try, you can almost accomplish something. Even if it’s still nowhere near enough," Dorian says, holding Leon’s rapier between two fingers just inches from his chest.

A thin trickle of blood runs down from his hand.

"Oh... you even managed to scratch me a little. That’s quite an achievement for someone like you," he adds with a mocking grin.

Then he tightens his grip until Leon’s rapier shatters into pieces.

With not a single drop of Sanguis energy left in his body, Leon can’t even stay standing anymore.

He drops to his knees as Dorian raises his sword and points it straight between his eyes.

"Game over, loser."
