My Clones Can Cultivate

Chapter 200: Murder

Chapter 200: Murder

Chapter 200

A terrifying BANG echoed outward as Liyu used everything at his disposal to escape all the traps that Shi Tian had set for him.

With the Origin Eyes and Eagle Eyes, he was able to see them clearly, and with the aid of his other skills, he was able to maneuver through them all with frightening precision before appearing directly behind Shi Tian, not giving the latter even the slightest chance to escape as he immediately threw forward his attack: "Behemoth Punch!"

A thunderous bang followed. The sheer force behind the punch caused the very air around his fist to distort violently, and the sound of the impact echoed throughout the arena like the roar of an enraged beast.

And yet, after everything was done, Liyu’s mind almost shut down when he saw the result of his effort: nothing. All that effort, all that preparation, all those precise movements, and yet not a single scratch appeared on Shi Tian’s body.

Liyu’s eyes widened in pure disbelief. A small veil of wind had appeared around Shi Tian’s entire body... thin, extremely thin, so thin that under ordinary circumstances it would have been almost impossible to notice.

And yet, that seemingly fragile veil had completely nullified Liyu’s Behemoth Punch, stopping the terrifying force capable of shaking the arena with something that looked as fragile as a layer of mist.

Liyu’s pupils trembled as he stared at Shi Tian’s back in utter disbelief. The man was still standing there, unmoving, his expression unchanged, and his eyes remaining blank and completely devoid of emotion as if the attack Liyu had poured so much strength into had never happened in the first place.

Then Shi Tian’s voice reached him, calm, cold, and completely indifferent: "Is that all?"

The meaning behind those three words was painfully clear... is that everything you have? Liyu’s expression changed immediately, his instincts screaming of danger, and his body reacting before his mind could even fully process it.

"Linear Blink!"

Liyu vanished instantly, combining it with Momentum as he forced himself to create some distance between himself and Shi Tian, appearing closer to the edge of the stage. He had barely landed, his feet not even completely stabilized, and then... Liyu’s gaze changed. Standing right beside him was none other than Shi Tian.

Liyu’s heart jolted. He’s fast. No, far too fast. Liyu had never encountered anyone as fast as this in his life... well, apart from the higher elders who had already stepped into the Core Stage, as surely those people would be insanely fast as well, being existences far beyond the Mortal Stage.

But within the Mortal Stage? Shi Tian’s speed was simply ridiculous, almost absurd. He stood there with one hand hanging casually at his side, his face blank and emotionless as though there was nothing in this world capable of stirring even the slightest emotion within him.

Liyu’s muscles tensed, but before he could attempt to create distance between them once more, his limbs suddenly stopped... his hands, his legs, his entire body, everything locked into place. It felt as if an invisible force had suddenly wrapped itself around his entire body and forcibly pinned him down.

What the hell? Liyu’s expression became serious. It was almost as though Shi Tian was using Spatial Qi to lock him in place, but that clearly wasn’t what was happening. Liyu would have been able to see it.

His Origin Eyes were still active, granted, he wasn’t using them at one hundred percent because he couldn’t; the Origin Eyes consumed an enormous amount of energy, something closer to stamina, and using them at maximum power for a prolonged period would eventually cause his eyes to ache, followed by bleeding, and eventually temporary blindness if pushed beyond their limits according to the system.

So Liyu couldn’t recklessly use them at full power, especially not in this battle. He was certain this wasn’t going to be a fight he could easily win simply because he wanted to win it.

This was Shi Tian, the strongest opponent he had encountered so far, and therefore he had to preserve as much of his strength as possible, which was why he was operating his Origin Eyes at only around forty percent.

But even at forty percent, they should still have been able to detect whether he was being interfered with by space. And clearly, that wasn’t the case... there was no distortion, no spatial fluctuation, nothing.

So what the hell was locking him in place? What is this? Liyu’s thoughts raced as he tried to figure out what was happening, but before he could continue speculating, Shi Tian spoke, his tone remaining calm and composed: "So you even possess a power eye?"

Liyu’s eyes trembled. How the hell did he know? His Origin Eyes were something that had no presence whatsoever; not even the clan lord had been able to determine that he possessed a power eye, mostly because Liyu had never used them directly in front of him, nor focused them on him whenever he did.

So yes, the Origin Eyes weren’t the kind of flashy power eye that immediately announced its existence to the world..m they were deeply concealed, extremely well hidden. Yet Shi Tian had seen through them. How? Liyu stared at him in shock.

Shi Tian, completely oblivious to Liyu’s astonishment and totally uncaring about the reaction he had caused, continued speaking: "You are able to see the tiny wind threads I have placed all across the battle stage with your power eyes."

"No ordinary eyes could see them. Your senses shouldn’t be capable of detecting them either." Shi Tian paused for a moment, then continued: "So it must be a power eye."

Liyu’s expression became even more serious. Shi Tian had figured it out... not everything, but enough. He had correctly deduced that Liyu possessed some kind of special eye ability simply from the way he had reacted to the wind threads, and that alone was enough to show how frightening his observation ability was.

Shi Tian remained silent for a brief moment before his cold voice sounded once more: "You sure are talented." There was no praise in his tone, not even the slightest hint of admiration; instead, his next words carried nothing but cold disappointment:

"But still... with all those talents, you are still so weak." His eyes remained indifferent as he added, "You are disappointing, just like the others."

Liyu’s eyebrows twitched. This bastard... He wanted to curse him. He genuinely wanted to tell Shi Tian exactly how ridiculous those words were. He had only barely started cultivating a little over a month ago... a little over a month... and yet he had already reached the first stage of the Qi Gathering Realm.

His cultivation speed was beyond abnormal, completely monstrous. If anything, Shi Tian was the one who should be considered disappointing, at least from Liyu’s perspective: You have been cultivating for who knows how many years, and you’re calling me weak?

Liyu was just about to curse the guy out, but before he could even open his mouth, Shi Tian moved one finger, just slightly. That was all. And instantly... BOOM!

The invisible force surrounding Liyu’s body suddenly tightened, much tighter. His muscles were compressed, his bones creaked, and his entire body felt as if an invisible mountain had suddenly descended upon him.

Shi Tian walked past him, yet his voice somehow reached Liyu clearly despite the distance between them: "You are able to see the wind Qi threads because I wanted you to see them. I wanted to see them as well. I wanted to gauge just how powerful your power eyes are."

Shi Tian continued walking, his footsteps steady and unhurried, with not even the slightest trace of nervousness in his movements: "And since you are only able to see the larger threads and not the thinner ones... I believe I have already guessed just how powerful your power eyes are."

Liyu’s pupils contracted. So that was it. From the very beginning, Shi Tian had been testing him. Those wind Qi threads hadn’t simply been placed there to attack him; they had also been a test.

Shi Tian had deliberately allowed Liyu to discover the larger threads, observing how he reacted, how quickly he moved, how he avoided them, and how much of his technique he was forced to reveal.

Everything had been calculated... every exchange, every movement, every reaction. Shi Tian had been studying him.

"I have tested all your strength, speed, and other abilities," Shi Tian’s voice remained emotionless before he delivered his judgment without hesitation: "My judgment is this... You are weak."

Those two words landed heavily, not because Liyu agreed with them, but because of the absolute certainty behind them. There wasn’t even the slightest doubt in Shi Tian’s voice; to him, it wasn’t an insult, it was a fact. And then he added, "And in my eyes, weakness is disgusting. Weakness should be wiped out."

The moment those words fell, Shi Tian pulled his fingers forward. Just like that. A tiny movement, almost casual, yet the consequences were anything but casual as the thinner wind Qi threads that had wrapped themselves around Liyu’s entire body and kept him firmly locked in place suddenly pulled taut.

TWANG!

The invisible threads tightened, and Liyu’s entire body instantly sensed it as a terrifying warning exploded inside his mind: DANGER! Not ordinary danger, nor the kind of warning he had experienced earlier, but absolute, total danger... a warning that screamed at every instinct in his body that if he remained where he was for even another fraction of a second, he would die.

Liyu’s eyes widened, and he immediately sent a command to the system, but in the very next microsecond... SPLURT!

His body was sliced apart. It happened so quickly, so unbelievably quickly, that there was no time for the crowd to react, no time for the referee to move, and no time for anyone to even understand what they were seeing.

One second, Liyu was standing there, completely trapped by the invisible wind Qi threads; the next, it was as if his body had been thrown into a gigantic grinder. His flesh was sliced through as easily as tofu amidst the sounds of cutting wind filling the arena... slice, sloosh, whoom!

The scene was so fast that the eyes of the spectators struggled to follow what had happened.

For a fleeting moment, Liyu’s figure remained standing there completely still, then... plop, plop, plop, plop... pieces of his body began falling apart. Red lines appeared across his entire body, barely visible at first before widening as blood erupted, separating his body into countless pieces.

No, they weren’t merely sliced; they had been diced apart, his entire body shredded into pieces by the countless invisible wind Qi threads.

The arena fell into absolute silence. The crowd was stunned speechless. Nobody moved, nobody spoke, and nobody seemed to even remember how to breathe. The referee stood frozen, his eyes widened to their absolute limits, completely stunned shitless by something he had never expected, not even remotely.

At the Guan clan’s side, the remaining candidates stared at the scene with horror-filled gazes, their faces pale and bodies trembling as they couldn’t believe what they were seeing. Liyu... the person who had just defeated Guan Haoran, who had crushed one opponent after another, and who had stood at the very end of this tournament against the devil of the Shi clan... had just been sliced apart.

At the Shi camp, the remaining Shi clan candidates were also staring with eyes filled with horror and shock, but their horror wasn’t because they were mourning Liyu. No, their fear came from something far more selfish: they were looking at their own deaths.

After all, the only thing standing between them and certain death was Liyu. If Liyu won, Shi Tian would be forced to lose; and if Shi Tian lost, he had already made his promise that he would kill them. But now Liyu had lost.. no, the truth was even worse, Liyu was dead. And if that was true, they knew they would be next.

At the Li camp, the expressions of every Li clan candidate were filled with horror and shock. Li Yuexin’s eyes widened in disbelief, her body trembled violently, her face became completely pale, and then her legs gave out beneath her as she collapsed onto her knees, staring at the stage with horror-filled eyes, unable to believe what she was seeing.

"No..." Her lips trembled, her mind refusing to accept the scene before her. That couldn’t be Liyu. It couldn’t. He had just been standing there. He had just been fighting. How could he suddenly...

Li Feng’s gaze was equally wide.

He already knew that Shi Tian was a freak, an emotionless freak, and he had understood from the beginning that Liyu’s life might be in danger if he faced someone like him. But even Li Feng hadn’t believed that Shi Tian would actually do something like this... not at the very beginning of the battle, not so casually, and not without hesitation.

He had thought there would at least be a fight, an exchange, some form of resistance. Instead, Shi Tian had simply decided that Liyu was weak, and then he killed him, just like that.

Li Feng’s hands clenched tightly, his face turning grim as his voice was barely audible: "That... That is just the peak of wickedness."

At the seats of the leaders, every single leader was equally shocked and taken aback. Even those who had lived for countless years and witnessed countless battles were stunned by what had just happened, as no one had expected this, not one person.

Li San’s gaze trembled, his entire body shaking with pure disbelief as he stared at the stage, his mind struggling to process what had happened. Liyu had just been killed.

The same Liyu who had shocked them repeatedly throughout this tournament, the same Liyu who had defeated Guan Haoran in his legendary Overflow State, the same Liyu who had seemed almost impossible to defeat, and now... he was nothing more than countless pieces scattered across the stage.

No one had expected this. None of them had known that this would happen. Yet it had. And as the realization finally settled over the entire arena, absolute silence descended... no cheering, no shouting, no murmurs, nothing.

The entire arena was silent as everyone desperately tried to come to terms with the horrifying reality before them: Shi Tian had just murdered someone, and the person he had killed was none other than the heir of the Li clan, Li Yu.
