Chapter 418: Training Ryan

Chapter 418: Training Ryan

Ethan stood in his vip room, looking down at the crowd. He could feel their eyes burning with questions.

He knew exactly why they weren’t leaving; they wanted a piece of him. They wanted to know the man who could hand out godhood in a bottle.

So, he fulfilled their wish.

Ethan appeared on the stage in a flash of dark light. The air seemed to vibrate as he spoke.

“Thank you for participating in the auction today,” he said, his voice smooth and commanding. “To keep things fair, we will host one auction every month. Every six months, we will hold a grand auction like the one you just saw today. I hope you will visit us again.”

A murmur of excitement went through everyone. They had a schedule now.

“The tower itself will open in five days,” Ethan continued. “There are many mysteries waiting for you inside. We will also launch a membership card system. These cards will give you discounts and special access. There are Iron, Bronze, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond levels.”

He paused, letting the silence build.

“And finally, the Supremacy Card. This is only for special people. I will only ever launch seven Supreme cards. I have already given one to Lady Zara. The remaining six will be given out as I see fit. The prices for the other cards will be published in three days. Have a nice day.”

Before anyone could shout a question or run to the stage to lick his boots, Ethan vanished.

He didn’t have time for their flattery. He had more important things to do, like checking on Rose.

Outside the main hall, the crowd began to filter out, talking loudly about the “Supreme Cards” and the new power in the city.

In a quiet corridor, Lady Melida stopped Rose and the others.

Her face was no longer that of a kind teacher; it was a mask of cold greed.

“Rose, go and talk to Mr. Hunt right now,” Melida ordered, her voice a cruel whisper. “I will leave with the others. You know what you have to do. Don’t come back empty-handed.”

When Trian had wanted Rose, Melida had only suggested things.

But now, seeing the wealth and power Ethan held, she was directly threatening her.

Tears welled up in Rose’s eyes. She felt a deep conflict in her soul.

She didn’t find Ethan repulsive, but she was a proud woman. She didn’t want to become a tool used to seduce a man.

Her heart felt heavy, but she looked at Zara. If she failed, Melida would ruin Zara’s future.

Rose felt trapped by her own weakness.

Melida then looked at Ryan, who was standing nearby.

“You,” Melida snapped. “You have the Titan bloodline now. You are valuable. You will become a high-level guard for my family. Follow us.”

Ryan didn’t move.

He didn’t even look at her. His eyes were fixed on the shadows behind her.

When Melida saw Ryan wasn’t obeying, her face twisted with rage.

She raised her hand to slap him, but she stopped mid-air.

Ethan had appeared right in front of them.

“Hello Lady Rose, hello Lady Zara,” he greeted them with a warm smile, completely ignoring Melida’s raised hand.

Melida quickly lowered her hand and put on a fake, fawning smile.

“Mr. Hunt! It is such an honor to meet you again!”

Ethan gave her a short, cold nod before turning his gaze back to Rose.

Then, he looked at Melida again, his eyes turning into ice.

“I will give you an Eternal-grade Omni-Law weapon,” Ethan said suddenly. “In exchange, you will make Lady Rose the Head Saintess of the Ice Dragon race. You have the authority to do that, don’t you?”

Melida felt like her heart was going to jump out of her chest.

An Eternal weapon? Just for promoting her own student?

“Yes! Yes, I have that authority. May I ask… what kind of weapon do you have for me?” Saliva was almost dripping from the corner of her mouth.

“What weapon do you use?” Ethan asked.

“I… I use a whip,” Melida stuttered.

She was already imagining herself as the most powerful woman in the Ice Dragon domain.

She decided right then that she would find even more beautiful girls to train if it meant getting more gifts like this.

“Alright. Go and make her the Head Saint today. I will have your weapon ready. Here is the contract.”

Ethan handed her a glowing paper made of Law energy.

Melida didn’t even read the fine print. She signed it instantly.

Ethan turned to Rose, his expression softening.

“Lady Rose, would you like a tour of my company?”

Rose didn’t answer.

She kept her head down, a stray tear falling onto the floor.

She felt ashamed, thinking Ethan was buying her from Melida.

“Lady Rose, look at me,” Ethan said gently.

She looked up, her eyes red.

“You don’t owe me anything. I am doing this because I want to. I don’t need anything from you in return. That is my promise. Just try to smile more. It suits you better.”

He didn’t give her a chance to argue.

He turned to Ryan.

“As for you, Ryan… I believe we had a deal? You said you would massage my back? It’s time to fulfill your part of the bargain.”

Ryan blinked, confused.

Why would a man who could have any beauty in the world want a massage from a twelve-foot-tall Titan?

“Uh… okay, sir,” Ryan nodded.

Ethan looked back at Melida one last time.

“Lady Melida, if you treat them with the best care possible, you might just earn the next Supreme Card.”

Melida was practically bowing now.

She quickly gathered Rose, Zara, Riya, and the others to leave.

Ryan stayed behind with Ethan.

Before they left, Rose looked back at Ethan.

“Thank you,” she mouthed.

Ethan just gave her a bright, honest smile.

“I heard Lady Zara has a Saint Trial coming up?” Ethan called out to the young girl. “I have something that might help you with that. Why don’t you come back tomorrow? For now, go and rest.”

Zara almost did a little dance.

She felt a strange sense of peace around Ethan.

Unlike the other nobles who looked at her with hunger, Ethan looked at her like a protective big brother.

“I’ll be there!” she chirped.

Rose was about to ask why he was being so kind, but Ethan took Ryan by the shoulder and vanished into the tower.

As they walked toward the Ice Dragon carriages, Melida’s tone changed completely.

She put her arm around Rose with a “motherly” smile that made Rose feel sick.

“Rose, my dear, from today on, you are the Lead Saintess. You will live in the main castle starting tonight. Your family members can live there too. We must make sure you are comfortable!”

Rose looked at her “Master” and felt only disgust.

She knew that the only reason she was being treated like a queen was because of the man in the tower.

Inside the tower, Ethan led Ryan to a private room.

“Sir,” Ryan asked, “Why did you really ask for a massage? I know you don’t actually need one.”

Ethan laughed.

“I needed an excuse to get you away from that old woman. And besides, we have a lot to talk about regarding your new bloodline. Your training starts now.”
