’’That’s right. I heard your Lunar Grave guild accepts everyone regardless of strength or background. My disciples and I have just arrived in Amber Dawn and will probably fit here reasonably well. Of course, if we are not welcome, I suppose we can just join the city guard instead.’’

Shun Long’s voice was calm and unhurried, but he could still see the silver-robed man’s eyebrow twitch imperceptibly at the mention of joining the city guard.

After all, in Amber Dawn, it was only Dao Emperors and the handful of Sovereigns who were influential enough to have any sway in the city’s matters. Regardless of how many Dao Kings one side had, it was useless in the face of a handful of Dao Emperors or a single Sovereign.

Of course, Jiang Chen and the others weren’t anything in the silver-robed elder’s eyes so they didn’t require too much of his attention.
