MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1733 1733: An Impromptu Visit

‘…You did give Mystia a heads-up that we were coming, right?’

‘Of course I did. Why’d you ask?’

‘Oh, I don’t know… maybe it’s because we were told to stay at the lobby for the meantime?’

As those words echoed within Valyr’s mind, the young man briefly let out a chuckle before giving his other self a wry smile.

Once the two of them sorted out what they planned on doing before the Nine Heavenly Pillars Tournament, it went without saying that the two of them parted ways after that.

However, just as Valyr was about to make his way to the Meltierre Empire to grind out [Anathema of the Ascended], a certain thought suddenly came to mind, which prompted him to have his other self tag along with him for the journey.

Although the young man more or less came up with the idea of having Ataraxia join him on the spot, there was still some basis behind the invitation.

For one, since he planned to make use of the Meltierre Killing Grounds to obtain the title, it was no surprise that he would have to contact Mystia about the matter.

…Especially if he wanted to make use of its facilities with no charge.

With that in mind, the young man thought that him meeting her would also be a good opportunity for him to fulfill the promise he made with her in the past, which was to make his other self become a part of the Mystic Plane.

Though Mystia did not pester him nor Ataraxia about the matter, the young man began to feel a hint of guilt because of it.

After all, the two of them had already benefited a lot from the help she’d given them thus far. The least he could do to make sure they were even was to fulfill his side of the deal.

Aside from that, the two of them would greatly benefit from visiting the Mystic Plane, especially once Ataraxia officially became a part of it.

Naturally, one of those reasons would be the opportunity to increase the amount of Mystic Energy they currently had.

Then again, compared to the opportunity Valyr would have to upgrade his second subclass to the next rarity, such an opportunity seemed lackluster in comparison.

And thus, with a few more enticing add-ons here and there, Ataraxia eventually agreed to the idea, tagging along with Valyr as they made their way to the Meltierre Empire.

Sadly, with the young man only informing Mystia of their visit at the very last minute, the two were forced to loiter around the Heavenly Court’s lobby for quite some time, unsurprisingly leading to Ataraxia venting out some of his frustrations towards Valyr.

Fortunately, with Mystia and the others in the Heavenly Court having become used to their presence, it did not take long for everything to get sorted out, with the two arriving at Mystia’s room around 10 minutes later.

“Quite rare for you to take the initiative to come visit,” she said, looking at Valyr for a bit before giving the two a knowing smile. “I suppose you two came here to flaunt your successful ascensions?”

“Partly.” The young man chuckled in response. “However, we’ve come here for a different reason, Miss Mystia.”

“Oh?” Seeing their expressions become solemn, Mystia raised her eyebrow in curiosity. “Is it a matter that only I can fulfill?”

“Yes.” Valyr nodded, looking at her with a calm expression. “If it’s possible, we would like to…”

“…Gain access to the Meltierre Killing Grounds without any charge.”

“…That’s all?” Expecting the request to be far more important, it took a while for Mystia to respond as she faintly shook her head. “If it’s just that, merely sending me a message before heading to the Killing Grounds would have sufficed.”

“That may be the case, but there’s actually one other reason why we’ve come to meet you, Miss Mystia,” said the young man in return, his expression calm. “Remember what I said when I first introduced Ataraxia to you?”

“What you said to me…?” Hearing those words, the woman in question closed her eyes for a bit, jogging her memory as she tried to recall the exact words they exchanged in the past.

Fortunately, after a couple minutes of silence, she opened her eyes once more, her gaze towards the two now that of interest.

“Does he have any problem with it?” she asked, her expression slightly doubtful. “After all, even though him becoming a part of the Mystic Plane would greatly benefit him, it’s best not to force it if he doesn’t want to.”

“It’s fine, Miss Mystia,” said Ataraxia in response, easing the worries she had over the matter. “Teacher has already informed me beforehand. I’m willing to become a part of the Mystic Plane.”

Not expecting his other self to pull out the teacher card in front of Mystia, Valyr could not help but make a weird expression as those words left Ataraxia’s mouth.

However, not wanting to sour the atmosphere, the young man forced himself to stay silent, inwardly making a note that he’d get payback for it later on.

“Since that’s the case, let’s head to the Mystic Plane, then.” Hearing that Ataraxia was truly fine with becoming part of the Mystic Plane, it went without saying that Mystia began to smile from ear to ear.

After calming herself down, she then conjured a gate that would lead to the Mystic Plane, which she and the other two crossed through not long after.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Appearing once more within the iridescent lands of the Mystic Plane, Valyr took in a deep breath as he felt a hint of nostalgia towards the surroundings.

“This… is the Mystic Plane?” As for Ataraxia, although he knew what the place looked like thanks to Valyr and him sharing memories, the young man knew best not to expose that.

“Welcome to the Mystic Plane.” Scanning their current surroundings for a bit, Mystia eventually turned her head to look at the latter with a slight smile.

“How much did Valyr tell you about the Mystic Plane?”

“Aside from the subclass he has that’s connected with the plane, all Teacher told me was that staying here would increase the Mystic Energy I could currently hold,” said Ataraxia, giving the question a bit of thought.

“Your Mystic Energy would indeed increase while staying here.” Mystia nodded in agreement. “However, that only applies if you’re actively absorbing Mystic Energy from the environment.”

“Aside from that, as you’re his student, it’s only right that you should be given a position within the Mystic Plane,” she continued, only to shift her gaze towards Valyr after that.

“He does know what it means to gain a position, right?”

“Yeah.” Valyr nodded. “He’s fine with that as well.”

“Alright then.” With her gaining confirmation from the two regarding the arrangement one last time, Mystia nodded once more before screaming off into the horizon.

“Marcus! Wake up!”

“Valyr snagged us a gem this time!”
