Seeing this, Tang Feng stroked his beard and smiled. "My Da Yi Commerce Association is spread throughout the Martial Arts Realm and controls a vast amount of intelligence. We happen to have a special piece of information regarding a Cultivator’s ruin. If Mr. Cheng is interested, we could cooperate and share in the spoils."

Cheng Zongyang narrowed his eyes slightly. ’A Cultivator’s ruin?’ he thought. ’At most, it’s probably just some Independent Cultivator’s Cave Mansion that was once protected by an Array.’

’As for a Sect ruin, that’s almost impossible. The entire Cultivation Immortality Realm relocated to the Ice and Fire Cultivation Immortality Realm in the East Sea Abyss when the Spiritual Qi dried up, finding a new place for their Cultivation. Under those circumstances, how could any Cultivation Immortality Influence like a Sect have left anything behind?’

’The only things that could have been left behind are the cave mansions of Loose Cultivators who died before the great migration. The odds of that are almost certain.’

He spoke up, "Oh? Lord Tang, please, tell me more."

After a moment of contemplation, Tang Feng said slowly, "In a location south of the Thirteen Royal Families’ territory, there’s a place protected by an Array. For over a decade, no one has been able to enter. Now that Mr. Cheng is a Cultivator, you must have a way to break the Array. As long as you can break it, the Da Yi Commerce Association will split whatever is inside with you fifty-fifty. How does that sound?"

Cheng Zongyang shook his head and, instead of answering, posed a question of his own. "There’s no rush on that matter. But hearing you speak of such things reminds me, there’s something I’d like to ask."

Tang Feng’s brow furrowed slightly, but his expression remained calm as he asked, "And what is that?"

Cheng Zongyang asked, "Since the Da Yi Commerce Association can find ruins like this, you must have found more of them in the past, correct? Don’t tell me you haven’t. Given the Da Yi Commerce Association’s eagerness to chase after traces of immortals, you must have found quite a few. In that case, have you ever found any special locations from the old Cultivation Immortality Realm? Or perhaps some specially preserved Jade, or ancient texts that still exist?"

Hundreds of years ago, the Martial Arts Realm was still the Cultivation Immortality Realm. If the Ring Spirit’s original theory was correct—that the old Wilderness World truly had a passage connecting it to the outside—then there must be some trace of it left behind.

He doubted any Spirit Stones would be left. Even if there had been, after several hundred years, their Spiritual Qi would have long since dissipated. Unless, of course, they were kept in a Storage Pouch.

He hadn’t actually considered this before. It was only because Tang Feng had brought up the ruin that the question occurred to him.

In response, Tang Feng chuckled. "Mr. Cheng, you are quite thorough. Are you interested in matters of the old Cultivation Immortality Realm?"

Cheng Zongyang didn’t hide his intentions, nodding candidly. "Correct. If you have items of that nature, I would be willing to trade an Array-Breaking Talisman for them. As the name suggests, an Array-Breaking Talisman is used to break Protective Arrays. Such an item is quite valuable in the Ice and Fire Cultivation Immortality Realm."

Tang Feng frowned again, trying to pull the conversation back to the original topic. "So you don’t want to go?"

Cheng Zongyang laughed. "Do you think I’m in need of some things from a ruin that might not even exist?"

At these words, Tang Feng stared intently into Cheng Zongyang’s eyes. His mind raced with speculation. ’Is he truly not interested in what’s in the ruin, or is he just being cautious—worried he’ll be ambushed if he leaves the Immortal City and is choosing to forsake the profit for safety?’

According to the Commerce Association’s intelligence, aside from the time Yu Wenlin took him to the Prefecture City and another trip out to sea, Cheng Zongyang had almost never left the confines of Jade Peak County.

’Anyone else with his level of Cultivation would have probably been running all over the place by now. Yet Cheng Zongyang has stubbornly remained a "homebody" in Jade Peak County, showing an astonishing level of stability.’

Tang Feng fell silent for a moment before speaking again. "Mr. Cheng, are you certain you won’t reconsider the matter of the ruin? You might find an unexpected reward inside."

He still felt that having a Cultivator accompany them would greatly increase their safety.

In truth, just as Cheng Zongyang had guessed, this wasn’t the first time the Da Yi Commerce Association had encountered a ruin protected by an Array. Many of them could eventually be breached by Innate Experts through relentless attacks that exhausted the Array’s Spiritual Power. However, these ruins were also fraught with danger, and quite a few Innate Experts had fallen prey to what lay within.

This particular Array had withstood bombardment for over a decade and still held. He didn’t believe that simply using a single Array-Breaking Talisman to open it would guarantee their safety.

Cheng Zongyang shook his head slightly. "Lord Tang, I’ve already said, I am not in need of those things. If you have the special items I’m looking for related to the Cultivation Immortality Realm, we can discuss it further. Otherwise, there’s no need to mention this again."

Tang Feng let out a soft sigh. "If that’s the case, then I will return and check the Commerce Association’s inventory to see if we have anything that Mr. Cheng requires."

Tang Feng was also considering whether to offer other items. While their exact value was unknown, they could probably be traded for Cultivation Immortality Resources. Otherwise, they would just continue gathering dust in the Da Yi Commerce Association’s treasury.

Just then, Cheng Zongyang added, "If you find a lot of things in these ruins, you can bring them to me for appraisal. You could trade them for a good amount of Cultivation Immortality Resources, you know."

"We’ll see," Tang Feng said. Since the main objective of his visit had not been achieved, there was nothing else worth discussing.

His purpose for this visit wasn’t to go to the Cultivation Immortality Realm himself. His lifespan was drawing to a close—he only had a few years left, so it would be pointless to go. He was better off continuing to manage the Da Yi Commerce Association.

As for others in the Da Yi Commerce Association who wished to go to the Cultivation Immortality Realm, he would have to return and draw up new plans. A Chief like Yu Wenlin wouldn’t necessarily have to leave the Da Yi Commerce Association; they could establish a new kind of partnership. This would be beneficial for the future development of Da Yi as well.

With that said, Tang Feng clasped his hands in a salute, then turned and departed.

Chen Kaishan glanced at Cheng Zongyang, also offered a salute, and then followed Tang Feng out.

Cheng Zongyang remained seated, lost in thought.

He knew the Da Yi Commerce Association wouldn’t give up on this chance to cooperate so easily, but he had his own calculations. He wouldn’t take risks lightly—not unless the potential reward was great enough to justify the danger.
