Martial Arts: I Have a Wilderness World

Chapter 567 - 298: System Revision

Chapter 567: Chapter 298: System Revision

Drawing on the existing system and his experience from the Cultivation Immortality Realm, he wrote down some new and revised policies on paper.

Residency Permit System—Everyone would be required to apply for a temporary identification permit. This document would allow for immediate identity verification, preventing people from sneaking in or entering under false pretenses. Each permit would be tied to a single individual and could not be loaned to others. Only with a temporary permit could one rent a home or stay in inns and hotels.

Settlement and Property Ownership System—This he adapted from the Ice and Fire Cultivation Immortality Realm, but with greater refinement. Settling would grant long-term residency and the right to purchase property. However, this would only be ownership of the building for a fixed number of years, not ownership of the land itself. The land would belong exclusively to the Immortal City.

City Entrance Fee System—Regardless of status, everyone would be required to pay an entrance fee based on their registered identity. Commoners could pay with one jin of Wilderness Rice, Martial Artists with one tael of silver, Innate Experts with one tael of gold, and Cultivators with ten Spirit Crystals.

Currency and Exchange System—The scope for using and exchanging gold, silver, Spirit Crystals, and Spirit Stones would be expanded. This would effectively introduce new currencies into the economy, moving beyond a simple reliance on gold and silver and making everyone aware of the importance of Spirit Crystals and Spirit Stones.

In the future, the Cheng Clan Commerce Association would establish Cheng’s Bank to allow the exchange of gold and silver for Spirit Crystals. This would create a supply for Cultivators and Innate Experts. Naturally, these Spirit Crystals would be used to purchase items meant for Cultivators. However, the right to issue Spirit Crystals and Spirit Stones would remain in his hands, and he would need to control the supply.

Agriculture and Husbandry System—People could earn gold, silver, and Spirit Crystals by cultivating Wilderness Rice, growing Medicinal Materials, or raising Exotic Beasts. The next time he visited the Cultivation Immortality Realm, he would investigate the price of a Magical Treasure Space and see if he could purchase one. If he had a Magical Treasure Space, it would mean his Immortal City would effectively gain more land.

Cheng’s Bank System—Services would include loans, savings accounts, asset acquisition and sales, and even bank cards for the Martial Arts Realm.

...

All told, Cheng Zongyang jotted down a great many ideas he had picked up in the Cultivation Immortality Realm, many of which he could implement with even greater refinement.

For example, a system for renting or purchasing Cultivation Techniques, catering to the needs of both the wealthy and those with limited means.

Another idea was to introduce premium cultivation grounds. These areas could be fitted with a Tier One Spirit Gathering Array. This wouldn’t drain too much of the Immortal City’s Spiritual Qi but would create a zone with a higher concentration, allowing him to charge certain individuals more Spirit Crystals for access.

He also considered a bounty system for missions, a way to exchange a secret recipe and secret method for Spirit Crystals, and establishing market stalls for consignment sales and the procurement of high-profit goods.

He planned to implement all of this through the Celestial Break Gang.

The Cheng Clan Commerce Association, however, would be consolidated to focus on the bank’s lending and savings services, as well as the sale and acquisition of items such as Elixirs, Cultivation Techniques, and Talismans.

To create a self-sustaining economic cycle, he would need to continue making investments in the initial stages. This would require a significant outlay on his part. The sole benefit was that he could promote Martial Arts Elixirs that could be produced in the Martial Arts Realm, as well as special finished products like the Red Blood Pill and the materials needed to create them. By doing so, he could increase the sales volume of these slightly more profitable items, earning more Points. This would free him from the limitations of relying solely on the diligent farming and refining work of Zhang Jinquan and the Soul Slaves.

The Martial Arts Realm had its own resources that could be sold on consignment, just as the Cultivation Immortality Realm had its own.

What he needed to do was establish all the necessary systems and regulations, then aggressively promote the acquisition of the resources he required. This would generate more Point-based profits to reinvest in the Wilderness World. In turn, he could use those Points to acquire resources from the Cultivation Immortality Realm to further develop his Immortal City.

「An hour passed in the blink of an eye.」

Cheng Zongyang quickly jotted down the flurry of ideas from his brainstorming session.

Only when Cheng Zongliang arrived to inform him that everyone had gathered did he put the notebook away into the Wilderness World and head outside.

This time, he was taking twenty-one people with him.

Aside from Zhou Zhenqi, the other twenty all possessed Spirit Roots and had chosen to pursue Cultivation Immortality.

The twenty-one of them were lined up neatly outside the courtyard.

He had actually wanted to take Zhou Zhenyuan with them. However, Zhou Zhenyuan had no desire to pursue Cultivation Immortality at present, nor did he want to leave, wishing only to stay and work in the village. Cheng Zongyang didn’t press the issue. ’His temperament isn’t suited for a life of killing, nor for navigating the intricate schemes and plots required to deal with outsiders.’

Cheng Zongyang watched them, each with a backpack slung over their shoulder, and gave a slight nod.

"This is the choice you’ve made. Whether your Cultivation is fast or slow depends entirely on your own aptitude and effort. No one will be there to guide you, and no one will offer you advice. Whatever results you achieve in the end, that will be your path to walk. You are the first group from this place to embark on the road of Cultivation.

"Your future accomplishments will determine the direction for those who follow. You will be their future teachers. Your experiences in Cultivation will be recorded in manuals to serve as guidance for the generations to come.

"Of course, rest assured that I have the Cultivation Resources you will need. It is up to you whether you can earn them. Everything must be earned. You will need to cultivate, learn, and record your progress, then exchange your accomplishments for what you need.

"This is the path trod by countless Loose Cultivators in the Cultivation Immortality Realm. Even if you go there yourselves one day, you will start in much the same way. I will say no more. Now, gather at the warehouse passage. We are leaving the mountain!"

"Yes, sir!" they all roared in unison.

Cheng Zongyang waved to his parents, then turned and headed for the warehouse passage.

After the twenty-one had entered the passage one by one, Cheng Zongyang left five thousand jin of Spirit Rice for his family members to consume. Once he had given his father clear instructions, he descended into the passage himself.

They traveled onward, and after about half an hour, the group arrived at an underground transit area. Cheng Zongyang took the lead, guiding them toward the passage to Tiantuan Village.
