After pretending to think it over for a moment, Cheng Zongyang nodded. "Deal. Is the household registration process the same as before?"

Lady Qin gave a slight nod and then rose to her feet. "If there’s nothing else, I’ll be on my way."

Cheng Zongyang sighed helplessly. "Lady Qin, my home is hardly a dragon’s den or a place so terrifying people pale at its mention. Why the rush? If I’ve done something to offend you, please just say so."

At this point, it was obvious to him that Lady Qin must have some sort of misunderstanding about him.

Lady Qin paused, then shook her head slightly. "No. This is just how I am; it has nothing to do with you. I have other business, so I’m leaving. As for the household registration, just write down the detailed information as you did previously and leave it with the Spirit Stones at Spring Pavilion."

Seeing this, Cheng Zongyang didn’t insist she stay. He cupped his fist and said, "Alright. I’ll have to trouble you then, Lady Qin."

’Liking her is one thing, but I’m not going to be a simp over it.’

After seeing Lady Qin off, Cheng Zongyang shook his head slightly. He closed the door, returned to his room, and prepared to print a batch of blank forms for future applicants to fill out.

His negotiation with Lady Qin was just to establish the terms beforehand, lest someone actually wanted to register and he was unable to make the arrangements.

Over the following days, after finishing up with the forms, Cheng Zongyang continued to monitor the search for the temple in the Wilderness World. The next day, Zhao Yonglong arrived at his door with a friend to finalize the Spirit Rice deal.

As previously agreed, for the first transaction, he purchased 4,300 pounds of Spirit Rice from Zhang Zhenyuan at a price of 95 Spirit Crystals per pound. They also settled the terms for future deals.

During their meeting, Cheng Zongyang also asked Zhao Yonglong to inquire about Exotic Beast Blood on his behalf.

To ensure he had enough Spirit Stones, Cheng Zongyang used his Points to purchase three Foundation Establishment Pills.

He then took the pills, worth a total of 39,000 Points, and secretly sold them at shops in three different areas: the West District, the North District, and the East District.

A single Foundation Establishment Pill was worth over 40,000 Spirit Stones; the three of them netted him 130,000 Spirit Stones in total.

For now, this was enough to cover the cost of the Spirit Rice and any future supplies he needed to purchase himself.

After settling matters with Zhao Yonglong, Cheng Zongyang finally had time to attend to something else.

After entering the Wilderness World, Cheng Zongyang went to his marketplace hut and summoned the Oath Contract template.

"Ring Spirit, can this template be upgraded?"

As it stood, when a person broke the contract and their Soul Returned to the Wilderness, the three days of Lifespan Cheng Zongyang had invested would be returned with interest, totaling six days. In effect, he would earn three days of Lifespan.

’It’s a decent deal for contracts where my own cost is low.’

’But for future dealings with Innate Experts, or for businesses like lending Spirit Stones, it’s not a very good deal.’

’Someone could borrow thousands, even tens of thousands of Spirit Stones, and if they die, all I get is three days of Lifespan. I’d rather not make that trade.’

’After all, my Spirit Stones are all converted from Points. Trading several thousand Points for three days of Lifespan might seem worthwhile, but with large loan amounts and long repayment periods, it would just be a massive drain on my Points.’

’That’s why I’m trying to upgrade it. At the very least, the amount of Lifespan I earn needs to increase.’
