Chapter 1859 - 1366: The Sword Maiden Returns

Of course, continuing like this was impossible. Felix blushed and returned to tending to the lamb, just as Vishi walked in with a bag of fresh shrimp. She glanced at Weiser and said bluntly, "Are you here to ruin someone’s good time again?"

"What do you mean by ruining a good time? It’s just a timely encounter." Weiser glanced at her, "It’s just that your Prince Pleasure can’t stay with Ash for more than a few seconds without turning into a female beast."

"You—"

"Vishi sis, could you help me with the lamb?" Felix interjected, pitifully speaking between them, "I’ll handle the beef stew, okay?"

Vishi and Weiser exchanged glances. Ash’s face might not be given deference, but Felix had always been diligent and never competitive. This time, they decided to give her face and stopped quarreling.

Ash took the spatula from Weiser, added some cooking wine, flipped the meat once, covered it, and continued to pan-fry it slowly over low heat. He reached out and poked Weiser’s forehead, "Welcome back."

"I’m back." Weiser rubbed her forehead, not very convinced.

"How’s the Dream Stairs going?"

"Very stable. I’ve patched a few leaks in the Sea of Knowledge and the Level Six of Hell. There might still be small leaks appearing gradually, but there shouldn’t be any large ones."

The Supreme Divine, Youlan Weiser, is responsible for reconstructing the Dream Stairs and patching all the defects in the Void Realm. Although Ash used the Heavenly Kingdom of Souls to replace the structure of the Void Realm, the adverse effects caused by the ’End Calamity’ were far too significant, like a ship that was smashed and then pieced back together with a steel frame, surely leaking everywhere.

The nearly omnipotent God of Silver Lamp is responsible for timely mending the collapses in the Void Realm, but she won’t always have to be a repairer, as, over time, the Void Realm will slowly heal, merging this ship into a new giant warship.

"Thank you for your hard work." Ash smiled, "Go out and read; we’ll take it from here."

"A customary greeting?" Weiser raised an eyebrow.

Ash glanced at Felix and Vishi. Although they’d been together for a long time, he still felt a bit shy and said tenderly, "I love you, Weiser."

Weiser gave Ash a kiss and said sweetly, "I love you too."

Most of the people had returned, and there was finally no one to disturb the kitchen. The cooking session entered accelerated time. As the night slowly dissolved the azure sky, the villa door was pushed open again, but the voice reached the kitchen before the person did: "Ash—"

Ash turned around and was enveloped in a hug from Freyja. In just three seconds, he ended up with more than ten kiss marks on his face, wearing an expression of resignation, "Do you want to kiss me or eat me?"

"Both!" Meiwa took out a handkerchief to clean Ash’s face, gave him a sweet wet kiss filled with love, and giggled, "With such a cute face, Ash, it’s destined to be kissed by me until it’s sore!"

"Then please spare me..." Ash turned to look at Siflin, "Was work going well?"

"Not very smoothly. Trying to achieve real-time communication with the Mage’s Handbook is quite challenging, as the laws isolating different layers of the Void Realm are still in effect." Siflin replied, "But we can achieve short-distance communication on the same layer, and it can be tested next month."

The Illusionary Heart Divine Lord, Freyja, and the Blood Hidden Divine Lord, Siflin, are responsible for the maintenance and improvement of the Mage’s Handbook system. Now, with a handbook in the hands of every mage, even a minute change in the system can have an immeasurable impact on the entire community of mages.

Although improving the Mage’s Handbook system could greatly advance civilization’s progress, not even Ash himself could easily add new functions to it. Therefore, it was up to Freyja and Siflin to tap into its potential for now, leaving other matters to the Ash of the future.

"What are you doing?" Siflin asked curiously.

"Seasoning the beef stew." Ash glanced at her, fished out a small piece with his hand, "See how it tastes?"

The little bat opened her mouth and bit, taking in not just the beef but also Ash’s fingers. A moment later, she released his hand and chewed slowly, the sharp teeth on either side glinting, "Tastes great."

Ash looked at the bite mark on his finger with a resigned expression, "Do you just love drinking my blood that much?"

"Your blood is supremely sacred to us of the Blood Saint Clan. After the Extreme Master of Blood Moon tasted your blood, he couldn’t forget it. If he knew I could sip your blood anytime, he’d be mutated with jealousy." Siflin held Ash’s hand, licked his wound, and it instantly healed, "However, blood isn’t the only thing I’ll be draining tonight."

"Have you been corrupted by Freyja too?" Ash couldn’t help but laugh, "Alright, dinner’s almost ready, why don’t you all go out and wait for a bit?"

"I don’t want to leave Ash." Freyja clung onto Ash, "It’s been seven days since we last met!"

"I heard you, but stop undoing my belt..."

Freyja stuck out her tongue, embarrassed, "I didn’t mean to; it’s just habit’s terrible power, I’ll fix it right away." Saying so, she crouched down.

After waiting for a moment, Ash first gently bit his lip, then his earlobes turned slightly red, and finally his shoulders trembled slightly.

"Get out of here!"

Bang!

The kitchen door slammed shut with a thud, sending Siflin and Freyja outside. Freyja gently wiped her lips, her pupils forming heart shapes, eyes dreamy with a flushed face, "Shy Ash is super cute too... finally recharged some Ash energy!"
