Chapter 65 Kuursh Pharma Limited
Chapter 65: Chapter 65 Kuursh Pharma Limited
Rafael sat in his office, his feet propped up on his desk, his tablet in his hands. He was grinning like a child who had just discovered a hidden stash of candy. His tattoos peeked out from under his rolled-up sleeves and his dark hair was messier than usual, sticking up in every direction.
He had just sent the interview email to Daisy Winter.
His fingers had been shaking in excitement as he typed. He had been planning this for days. Ever since he had seen her application. Ever since he had seen the look on his brother’s face when he mentioned her name.
Alessio was closed off. Cold and emotionless. He had been that way for as long as Rafael could remember. The walls around his heart were thick and high, built from years of loss, pain, and responsibility. Rafael had tried everything to break through them. Jokes. Arguments. Even the occasional well-aimed punch.
Nothing worked.
But Daisy was different.
Rafael had seen it in the cafeteria. The way Alessio had looked at her. The way he had used sign language. The way he had rolled his eyes. The way he had asked for her number.
Alessio had never asked for anyone’s number. He had never rolled his eyes at anyone. He had never used sign language for anyone.
Daisy was already getting under his skin.
And Rafael wanted more.
He wanted to see his brother laugh. He wanted to see him smile. He wanted to see him feel something other than cold responsibility and endless duty. Maybe Daisy could bring that out of him. Maybe Daisy could be the solution.
But there was a problem.
Cedric Evermont.
Rafael’s smile faded as he thought about the man. A cheating bastard who had a wife and a girlfriend and still could not be satisfied. The man who treated Daisy like furniture.
Rafael had read the investigation report. His blood had boiled. His hands had curled into fists. His tattoos had seemed to darken against his skin.
Cedric did not love Daisy. He did not even see her. He treated her like something to be used and discarded. And Daisy deserved better....well someone like his brother..
That mute woman was innocent and helpless. She had no one to protect and fight for her.
But first, Cedric had to go.
Rafael leaned back in his chair and stared at the ceiling. How could he make Cedric divorce Daisy? He could not force him. He could not threaten him. That would only make things worse.
He needed a plan. A clever plan that would make Cedric want to let Daisy go.

Meanwhile, Daisy had stopped reading her emails.
She had received too many rejections, polite letters telling her she was not wanted. She could not bear to open another one. She could not bear to read another excuse about her voice, her silence, her inability to communicate.
So she stopped.
She stopped checking her inbox. She stopped hoping for a reply. She stopped believing that the corporate world would ever accept her.
Instead, she focused on what made her happy.
She had been going to the beach every day since Jenna left. The rental shop owner, a kind old man, had been so good to her. He did not ask questions or pry. He just let Daisy rent the teddy bear costume whenever she wanted.
Daisy loved the beach. She loved the children. She loved this work.
She did not care about the money. The coins and bills in her donation bowl were just a bonus. What mattered was the joy this job brought to her and the kids.
And she had discovered something wonderful.
Jenna was not coming back anytime soon.
She had heard the servants talking. Jenna had taken an extended trip to Jade Bay. Something about her husband and an old girlfriend. Something about a scandal and a confrontation. Daisy did not know the details, and she did not care.
She was free.
Cedric was also gone. He had taken Jessica on a business trip abroad. His assistant had told Daisy that Jessica had become his secretary. Daisy had felt nothing when she heard the news.
She did not care about them anymore.
Today, as usual, she woke up early, put on her sundress, and walked to the beach. The sun was warm, the sky was blue and the waves crashed gently against the shore. The sand was soft beneath her feet.
The old man greeted her with a smile.
"The usual, dear?" he asked.
Daisy nodded enthusiastically.
He chuckled. "You know, I’ve never seen anyone so happy to put on a heavy costume in this heat."
Daisy shrugged and smiled.
He helped her into the costume. It was warm and heavy but she did not mind. She picked up her donation bowl and walked out onto the beach.
Children ran toward her, their laughter filling the air.
"Teddy! Teddy!"
She waved her fluffy paws at them.
A little girl tugged at her paw. "Teddy, can you spin?"
Daisy nodded and spun around in a circle.
The children clapped and cheered.
A little boy hugged her leg, his small arms wrapping around her fluffy paw.
"Teddy, I love you!" he said.
Daisy’s heart melted. She bent down and patted his head.
A mother approached, holding her phone. "Can I take a photo?"
Daisy nodded and posed with the children.
The mother smiled. "You’re so good with them. Do you do this every day?"
Daisy nodded.
"Well, my kids love you. We’ll come back tomorrow."
Daisy gave her a thumbs-up.
As the sun climbed higher, more children came. More parents came. More laughter filled the air.
Daisy danced and played and made everyone smile.

Two days passed, and Rafael was losing his mind.
He had sent the interview email to Daisy. He had scheduled the interview for today at 10 AM. He had even called her yesterday to confirm but she had not picked up. He had called her this morning, and she still had not picked up.
Now it was 10:23 AM.
Rafael sat in the conference room of Kuursh Pharma Limited, his leg bouncing under the table, his fingers drumming against the polished wood. His tattoos peeked out from under his sleeves and his dark hair was messier than usual from running his hands through it in frustration.
The manager of Kuursh Pharma, a middle-aged man named Mr. Henderson, stood near the door, holding a clipboard. He was a practical man, efficient and impatient and he did not understand why his boss was waiting for someone who was clearly not coming.
