Mafia Lord's Mute Sweetheart

Chapter 33 Cheated?

Chapter 33: Chapter 33 Cheated?

"You go," Cedric said, frowning.

Jessica pouted, her red hair spilling over her shoulders. She kissed his cheek once more, then swayed back toward the house, disappearing through the glass doors.

His other friends left one by one, yawning and stretching, retreating to their rooms. The patio grew quieter. The fairy lights flickered in the ocean breeze.

Except Naomi. She stayed.

Cedric was drunk. His blue eyes were half-closed, his head lolling against the back of the sofa. His shirt was completely unbuttoned now, hanging open against his chest. His glass was empty, tipped over on its side, a few drops of whiskey staining the cushion.

Naomi’s eyes lit up.

She waved her hand in front of his face.

"Cedric?" she called softly.

He blinked and mumbled something.

"Cedric, can you hear me?"

He turned his head toward her, his vision blurry. "Jesse... baby... I told you... go to our room..." He frowned, his words slurring together.

Oh god. Yes. He was drunk. Very drunk.

Naomi’s heartbeat sped up.

She had been his friend since high school. She had watched him from afar for years, laughing at his jokes, standing near him at parties, hoping he would notice her. She had a crush on him for so long she had forgotten when it started.

But before she could confess, he fell in love with Jessica and then his grandfather forced him to marry Daisy.

Naomi did not mind Daisy. Daisy was nothing. A mute. And Cedric did not love her, did not want her, did not even look at her. Daisy was not her competition.

But Jessica. Jessica was everything Naomi wanted to be. Beautiful and confident. Jessica had captured Cedric’s heart in a way Naomi never could.

Naomi hated Jessica so much.

"Baby," Naomi whispered, leaning closer to Cedric. Her voice was soft, sweet, dripping with false affection. "You are so drunk. Let me take you to our room."

Cedric nodded, his head heavy. "Okay... Jesse..."

Naomi’s eyes lit up.

She helped him stand, wrapping her arm around his waist, guiding him through the dark hallway. He leaned on her heavily, his weight pressing against her side. She did not mind. She wanted this.

She took him to her room. Not the room he shared with Jessica. Her room.

By the time she pushed open the door, Cedric had already fallen asleep. His head dropped against her shoulder. His body went limp.

Naomi’s face twisted with anger.

She dragged him to the bed and laid him down. He did not stir. He was completely unconscious, lost in a drunken sleep.

Naomi stood over him, her chest heaving.

She had wanted this moment for years. She had imagined it a thousand times. Cedric in her bed. Cedric hers but he was asleep.

He would not know. He would not remember.

Naomi’s hands trembled as she reached for his shirt. She pulled it off his shoulders, exposing his chest. She unbuckled his pants and slid them down his legs. She took off everything.

Then she leaned down and kissed his chest. His skin was warm. She kissed his lips, soft and quick. Then she turned his body and scratched his broad back with her nails, leaving red marks across his skin.

She took off her own clothes.

She bit her own lip until it swelled. She pinched her own skin until bruises formed. She scratched her own back against the headboard until it stung.

Then she lay beside him and pulled the blanket over them both.

She wrapped her arms around his waist and pressed her face against his chest.

She smiled evilly.

—Next Morning—

Sunlight pierced the window, casting golden stripes across the bed as its rays cut through the curtains.

Cedric woke up slowly, his head pounding, his mouth dry. He blinked against the light, trying to remember where he was.

Then he turned his head and froze.

Naomi was lying next to him. Naked.

Her red hair was spread across the pillow. Her bare shoulders were visible above the blanket. Her lips were swollen. Her skin was marked with bruises and scratches.

Cedric’s blood turned cold. He looked down at himself. He was also naked.

His shirt was gone. His pants were gone. His back stung with scratches he did not remember getting.

Fu*k.

Fu*k!! fu*k!! fu*k!!

He sat up quickly, his heart pounding, his head spinning. The room was unfamiliar. The sheets were white. The curtains were blue. This was not his room. This was not Jessica’s room.

Naomi stirred.

She blinked her eyes open, looking up at him with wide, innocent eyes.

"Cedric?" she whispered. "What... what happened?"

Cedric stared at her.

His mind raced. He remembered drinking. He remembered the patio. He remembered Jessica leaving. He remembered nothing. He remembered nothing.

Naomi sat up, clutching the blanket to her chest. Her eyes filled with tears. "Oh god. Did we... did we..."

Cedric did not answer. He could not answer.

He looked at the scratches on his back. The marks on her body. The clothes scattered on the floor.

He had been drunk. So drunk.

And now...

"Cedric," Naomi whispered, her voice trembling. "Say something."

Cedric ran his hand through his hair. He did not say anything. He just stared at the wall, his mind blank, his heart pounding.

He had cheated on Jessica and Daisy with Naomi. His friend and he did not even remember it.

"Please, Naomi, don’t tell this to anyone. Not to Jessica. Not to Daisy." Cedric ran his hand through his disheveled hair, his fingers trembling slightly. His head was pounding from the alcohol, his throat dry, his stomach churning with guilt and panic. "You are my friend, right? I have been your friend since high school. You know me. You know I would never... I don’t remember anything, Naomi. I don’t remember any of this."

He looked at the scratches on his back, at her bruised skin, at the clothes scattered on the floor like evidence of a crime he could not recall committing.

Naomi clutched the blanket tighter against her chest, her lower lip trembling. Tears welled in her eyes, spilling down her cheeks in slow, dramatic streams.

"Cedric," she whispered, her voice breaking.

"You know I cannot take responsibility for you," Cedric continued, his words tumbling out faster, desperate. "I have a wife at home. Daisy. She is... she is my wife. And I have Jessica. You know Jessica, my girlfriend. You know how she is. If she finds out about this, she will..." He stopped, unable to finish the sentence.

Naomi lowered her head. Her red hair fell across her face, hiding her expression.
