Chapter 1956: Affairs of the World

Then Taddeus clicked his tongue.

“The problem with the Order of Thinkers is that none of the protocols is followed. Human experimentation touches many people scars”

“I am just worried that the Order of Thinkers would abandon Antarctica. That land has become a prison and a shackle for them. If they leave, that means they leave the Seven World Great Powers. And if that happens, a new upheaval will consume the world.”

Then one of the pirates raised his hand

“I know there is something else about Order of Thinkers. Did you know William is dead?”

“Who kill him?” Another pirate asks

“Heard he is a spy from the world powers”

“William Woodman? That guy?”

One of the pirates nodded

“Yeah, he owes our captain money. That very same guy”

“Ptui” a red-haired pirate spit on the floor

“He is a rat?”

The pirate that relayed the news nodded

Taddeus does not seem surprised. It seems he also knows about this. He then said

“The Red Table sent hundreds of assassins against him. If he could survive, that would be a miracle”

“Wait? Why would it be the Red Table turns to get angry? Shouldn’t it be the Order of Thinkers? Or the Pirate Lords? William Woodman cooperated a lot with the Pirate Alliances”

“William Woodman has his fingers in many pies. I surmise there must be something he knows, or he took from the Red Table that would make them send so many powerful assassins against him”

Azief hearing the Pirate Alliance and many others news also knows there are more organizations and factions that appear in the world

This did not mean they are just newly formed in the months he is missing.

After all, before he is missing, he is already in seclusion. And after the seclusion he already predicted about what would happen to Will.

He then goes to Interium, and he expected that when he returns, it would only be a few days or only a week

He did not expect he would not come back for nearly a month.

“There is too many things I do not know” though Azief did not feel disappointed.

After all, he is not the kind of person who wants to know everything.

And also, because these factions could not give him or the world powers any threat. Any powers and factions that could give the world powers a threat would have been reported

Crime Alliance for example has been beaten by him so many times, even they knew they have lost the ability to compete with the world powers for now.

Azief then continues listening to Taddeus.

“There is a lot of things that happened in this world. Too many affairs. Big and small. All creating their momentum. I have seen this before. This is a precursor to another great event. The waves and tides keep rising”

Taddeus sighed

“I have lived through countless troubled times in the span of a decade. After one wave fall, another wave rises. People yearn for some stability and order”

“Even those powerful men yearns for it”

“And the world kept asking where Death Monarch is. Because he has the prestige to calm the world.”

“If he returns, at least Pandemonium would be peaceful. But that alone…..that alone is enough”

“Pandemonium is important. And the world powers all waits because they did not know what happens”

“But one thing is clear”

“Once Pandemonium peaceful, the other world powers would also tone down. Prerequisite of this is none other than for the real Death Monarch to return. Not the clone. The clone is just there as a protection.

“But the problem of Pandemonium right now is the problem of the people hearts. When he was there, he could gather the people’s hearts, using force to calm the hearts of the world. When he is not there, the people’s hearts are dispersed”

“Precisely because his prestige is too high, none of his men look up to anyone other than him”

“Wang Jian belief is not wrong. Sasha is also not wrong”

And he sighed

“When two righteousness met each other, no one could convince the other. That lies the tragedy. Only the force between them could decide. Not to decide who is right and who is wrong. But to decide who wins and who loses.”

Taddeus sighed and then he said

“Regardless of what the Pirate Lords wants, regardless of what those people in Crime Alliance wanted, or what the world powers wanted…all of us small people only wanted some semblance of peace”

“Pirates talking about peace. It sounds like a bad joke” Taddeus nodded

Azief retracts his hearing and he is silent for a while. He digested all of the things he had just heard.

“Loki is in Untainted Land? Why was he there?” Out of the many things he had heard., Loki whereabouts is the one that made him more alert than anything else

That trickster is always up to something

Even though Azief also knows about the Untainted Land problems, and even though the whole world said no one could go in an out of the Untainted Land right now, Azief knows better

For beings like them, there is always a way.

Not to mention, that he was the one that constructed the formation of the Untainted Land.

He and all of the other rulers of the world power had then modified it. Lee Sangmin also participated in it.

So, it is not that they could not enter. They all have each leave a back door for when something like this happens.

But Loki is there?

What is he planning?

If there is anything involving Loki Azief is always wary.

This is a person from some future.

Unless he got the full story, Azief would find it hard to trust Loki

And then there is news about Helva.

Who sprang her out from the prison? The kind of prison that they put Helva in is not a normal prison.

Though, that is not really a big problem for him.

If he wanted to, he could, just fly to Antarctica and demand Helva to be returned unless they want worldwide sanctions.

“This is not really the time though”

Pandemonium like he had expected unravel into a civil war without him.

“It is still manageable. My trump card could still be used” knowing this he breathes a sigh of relief.

Before he left Pandemonium he left a back hand.

That is why he is so confident to let the war go on.

It is his back hand and his way of intimidating the world. When he shows his method at that time the world would be intimidated again.

The world powers and the people of the world need to be reminded from time to time or they would begin testing Pandemonium.

And Azief did not want to deal with this kind of testing again.

So, since Sasha and Wang Jian wanted to fight each other, he decided to put this back hand before the war began.

Not only did he want to solve these two people, but he also wanted to see if anyone wanted to fish when this problem is happening in Pandemonium.

He wanted to see if anyone dares to stretch their hands into the affairs of Pandemonium and if there is, he would know who his enemies is and who is not.

He also wanted to see what the world powers would do when Pandemomium is in danger.

Could the alliances he made hold, could they maintain order that they created or are they short sighted people that could not be made allies?

Azief wanted to know many things because he had always planned to leave Pandemonium.

Even in the beginning, he never wanted to create an empire. And empire in this world of magic is not bound by land.

It is unlike any other thing that had happened in the world before. The common ruler and subject structure is very different.

It needs a different kind of order. A more archaic and ancient order. An order based on honour and virtue.

It is a different world. So, he had never been keen on creating a world order. Nor had he planned to create a world order before the events of the World Government.

Budiman uses his own life to wake him up. Wake him up that the world needed order. And because of his desire, he let the world was in chaos.

The reason why the words the stronger the power, the bigger the responsibility is because the more powerful you are, not doing something and doing something would always change the outcome.

So, he created Pandemonium.

But then event conspires and he had to create the Seven World Powers. And now, the world order is based on his framework.

Azief knows others.

But he also knows himself.

He is not a good ruler in the conventional way. Not because he could not learn how to rule. It is that he did not want to rule.

The higher he goes, the more ruling the people become a shackle.

So, he wanted to be free of it. But the more he wanted to be free of it, the more he found himself drawn deeper into it
