Chapter 502 - 501: What Happened
Chapter 502: Chapter 501: What Happened
It must have been last night when I went out running, I lost my student card, and then someone at the back picked it up.
At this moment, South Grant’s mind was racing, thinking about how to explain.
The evidence is all laid out, and there’s no point in denying it.
But if I admit it, how will the school view the two of us?
Gay?
In the same dorm room?
Oh my God, just imagine that scene.
While South Grant was still trying to figure out a solution, Chester Lynch spoke up.
"Principal, yesterday my girlfriend visited me and was lightly dressed. Since I share a dorm with South, I took her jacket for my girlfriend to wear, and when I returned it, I realized I lost my student card. It’s my fault; it has nothing to do with South."
Hearing Chester Lynch’s words, South Grant finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Then the principal turned his attention to Chester Lynch, "So, you’re the one who was having a date on the school track last night?"
"Yes."
"And who was the other girl?"
"My girlfriend."
"What’s her name?"
"She’s from outside the school." Chester Lynch finished speaking, looked up at the principal, "This matter has nothing to do with South. Principal, could South leave now?"
The principal then waved at South Grant and said:
"This doesn’t concern you anymore. You can go back."
South Grant glanced at Chester Lynch, and Chester Lynch gestured for her to leave.
South Grant left with a heavy heart. As she reached the door, she looked inside one last time, then went out.
In the hallway, leaning against the wall, South Grant thought to herself, Chester took all the blame for something that involved both of them. She felt uneasy.
After contemplating for a long time, as she was about to return, Chester Lynch came out.
Seeing South Grant about to go back, he pulled her and asked:
"South, what are you doing?"
"Why should you take the blame alone for something that involves both of us?"
Chester Lynch chuckled, "Do you think I’m really going to get blamed? We’re adults now, not in high school anymore. The principal just told me it’s not about stopping relationships at school, but to keep it to weekends when we’re off-campus."
South Grant was delighted, "So the principal isn’t going to hold you responsible?"
Chester Lynch nodded with a smile, and South Grant gave a victory sign.
Thankfully, they won’t pursue it; if they alerted Nathan Foster, it would be a big deal!
Chester Lynch looked at South Grant’s expression, recalling the principal’s words, and thought about the disciplinary record he had received.
As long as she’s okay.
Then the two left the office building and returned to the training lineup.
The school term began under such circumstances, and she seemed to have gotten used to sharing a dorm with Chester Lynch.
Chester Lynch was very considerate; he never used the bathroom in their room, always opting for the communal shower, and after returning, he usually went to the balcony himself. When talking to South Grant, he would pull the curtain to avoid making her feel uncomfortable.
Over time, South Grant got used to it.
Military training was almost over, with just three days left.
Once it’s over, they will return to normal campus life.
That night, after showering, South Grant was lying in her bed in her pajamas, browsing her phone, when she suddenly heard a scream outside, startling her upright.
Chester Lynch also drew back the curtain, frowned, and asked:
"What’s going on?"
"I don’t know, I’ll go check it out." South Grant said she was going to go out, but then remembered she was in her pajamas, and her makeup was off. If she went out and was seen, they might think a woman had sneaked into the men’s dormitory building.
