Chapter 469: Chapter 468: Shock

Nathan Foster drove towards the military training base.

After a long drive, he finally arrived. He pulled South Grant, who was lying in the back seat, up and found her eyes still cold.

This meant she was still in another personality. Nathan Foster took her to Ivan Keller’s room.

Ivan Keller was so surprised to see Nathan Foster bringing in a bound South Grant that he didn’t know what was happening. Only Vincent knew about South’s personality issues; Ivan Keller was unaware.

Ivan Keller was very curious about what Nathan Foster intended to do. Nathan instructed Ivan Keller to arrange for a helicopter. Ivan dared not disobey and made the arrangements.

As the helicopter was being prepared, Ivan Keller quietly approached South Grant and asked her softly.

"What did you do to make the chief so unhappy to have you tied up like this?"

South Grant whispered at this moment, "Come closer."

"A bit closer," South Grant whispered.

"Lower," she said again.

"Lower still."

Ivan Keller didn’t know what she wanted, but he squatted down to the height she suggested. In the next moment, he felt his waist lighten as the gun from his belt was quickly taken by South Grant.

South Grant’s wrists were bound, but her hands were still able to take things.

After pulling out Ivan Keller’s gun and seeing his shocked expression, she forcefully jabbed her elbow into his shoulder.

She then unhesitatingly aimed the gun at Nathan Foster in the distance and pulled the trigger.

Nathan Foster was turned away from them, instructing people on the helicopter.

The person standing next to Nathan Foster saw what was happening and forcefully pushed Nathan Foster aside just as South Grant pointed the gun.

The bullet struck the helicopter, sparking a burst of fire.

It took Nathan Foster a moment to realize what had happened when South Grant fired a second shot.

He rolled away from the helicopter and then ran towards South Grant, zigzagging to avoid her shots.

Meanwhile, Ivan Keller snapped out of his pain and saw South Grant firing at Nathan Foster.

He was too shocked to believe it, but seeing Nathan Foster in danger, Ivan Keller propped himself up and tried to grab the gun.

As he sprang up to grab the gun, South Grant fired at Ivan Keller.

With Ivan Keller falling, Nathan Foster had already reached her.

He grabbed South Grant’s wrist, his elbow pressed tightly against her neck, and snatched the gun from her hand.

However, Ivan Keller lay in the sand, blood flowing from his chest.

Nathan Foster turned back to see Ivan Keller. In a state of shock, he shouted loudly at the soldiers standing dumbfounded in the distance:

"Medic... call the medic quickly!"

Everyone was stunned by this scene, not knowing what had happened. How could Young Master South fire at the chief?

The medics arrived quickly, and several soldiers carried Ivan Keller into a tent where the medic swiftly staunched the bleeding.

Nathan Foster ordered someone to watch South Grant and followed them into the tent. The medic, looking worried, said to Nathan Foster:

"The bullet hit his chest. We don’t know if it affected the heart. The equipment here is inadequate; we need to perform surgery. Chief, you must take him back."
