Chapter 447 - 446: The Cold-Faced Yama Arrives
Chapter 447: Chapter 446: The Cold-Faced Yama Arrives
Caleb Holt sat up and saw that everyone was asleep.
South Grant’s bunk was right next to his, and by now South was probably already asleep.
Caleb noticed her blanket wasn’t properly covered, so he gently got out of bed and pulled her blanket up.
It gets cold in the latter half of the night here, and she’s not used to it. It wouldn’t be good if she caught a chill.
At dawn, an alarm clock went off in another tent, waking up the staff who needed to prepare props for filming.
Just then, they heard the whooshing sound of wind, like a helicopter’s rotor blades turning.
The sound grew louder and soon woke everyone here.
When everyone stepped out of their tents to see, they saw a helicopter parked not far away, its rotor blades stirring up a cloud of yellow sand.
The swirling sand created an indescribable magnificence in the morning light.
While everyone was wondering where the helicopter came from at this time, they saw a person emerge from the cloud of yellow sand.
From blurry to slowly clear.
And then closer and closer.
South Grant was sleeping soundly and wasn’t there. Rosalind Sutton recognized the person and exclaimed in surprise:
"Nathan, why are you here?"
The crew members all showed a knowing expression when they heard Rosalind call out the name Nathan.
This man was so incredibly handsome and exuded such a powerful presence; wearing a military uniform, it was clear he was a soldier.
Probably related to Rosalind Sutton in some way.
"Hmm, I heard you didn’t have enough tents over here, so I brought some for you." Nathan Foster’s voice was calm, betraying no emotion.
"Then why did you come in person?"
"There’s a military simulation exercise in the desert next month, so we’re training in this area this month."
With Nathan’s explanation, Rosalind Sutton understood.
Afterward, the crew members helped unload the tents and supplies brought over by the helicopter.
"Where’s South?" Nathan Foster looked around but didn’t see South Grant and asked Rosalind.
Rosalind pointed to a nearby tent and said:
"She’s probably not up yet."
Nathan Foster glanced at the outside of the tents where some male actors, shirtless, were squatting in their long pants, brushing their teeth. With a darkened expression, Nathan walked inside.
Once Nathan went inside, Ivan Keller stood at the tent entrance.
Inside, Nathan saw South Grant sleeping soundly off to the side.
Her blanket was kicked aside, and Nathan only relaxed a bit when he saw she was wearing thick pajamas.
Then Nathan sat down at the edge of the bed, watching her.
South Grant was sleeping peacefully when she felt something staring at her, making her uneasy.
Soon, South opened her eyes.
She rubbed her eyes, thinking she was still dreaming upon seeing Nathan sitting at the bedside.
South Grant grinned and murmured:
"Annoying ghost, dreaming of you again."
Then South Grant closed her eyes to continue sleeping, but Nathan leaned down, his cool lips lightly touching her warm ones.
South Grant’s eyes widened as she looked at the face so close to hers. She opened her mouth to ask when he arrived.
But just as she parted her lips, he took the opportunity to kiss her deeply.
They hadn’t been apart for even a day, yet it felt like ages had passed.
South Grant could hear Nathan’s heavy breathing, sensing his current anger.
What was wrong with him?
What was he angry about?
Was it because of her?
As South was lost in thought, Nathan noticed her distraction and bit her.
South hissed and glared at him fiercely.
