Chapter 36: TOUCHING MYSELF TO HIS FACE

Chapter 36: TOUCHING MYSELF TO HIS FACE

LAURA

There’s a smirk on my lips the entire ride back to my apartment.

Eli chattered endlessly from where he was strapped in the backseat, but I barely caught a word he said.

I was intrigued by the smooth lie that popped out of my mouth earlier, back in his classroom. Even Eli’s teacher had quickly switched from suspicious to apologetic and sympathetic.

Eli’s father, dead. How hilarious. I tried to imagine the look that would cloud his face if he ever hears of how he was reduced to a dead man.

This was the safest option for the moment because...I was not ready to let Tristan into that aspect of my life yet. Eli was the most important part of my life, the inner sanctuary. I possibly couldn’t let the same man who tainted and betrayed me back in there.

Now that I’d established that Eli’s father wouldn’t be present at the meeting, I couldn’t help but wonder where the school’s tip had come from.

Was someone trying to fuck with me? Was it the school? Did they really receive a tip? If so...who could have sent it to them?

My head ached so bad by the time the car rolled into the driveway of apartment. As soon as we were in, I took him into the shower and rinsed off the grime from school. Afterwards, I made him fruit salad from the fruits left in the fridge and went up to take a shower.

The water hit my skin like ice spikes, sending shudders through me. As I spread my legs to wash my pussy, a thick wetness coated my fingers, and I wasn’t so surprised.

My mind wasn’t the only thing going out of control. Every part of my body did, for Tristan. And it frustrated me how much in control I wasn’t despite wanting to be.

I stroked my sensitive clit once. Twice. On the third stroke, my thighs clenched in need and my teeth clamped my bottom lip.

God, I should stop.

It wasn’t very cool denying this need in public and tending to it in private. But...it is what it is. Desire.

Reluctantly, I pulled my hand away from between my legs and quickly rinsed off.

When I returned to the dining area, Eli was already passed out on the table, snoring softly, his cheeks stained with milk, a bit of watermelon and apple littered on a table. I heaved a sigh and shoved my fingers through my hair. "I can’t wait for when you grow up."

Then I yanked him up and took him to his room.

The house was too quiet when I returned to the living room. I ate the rest of the salad in front of the TV, watching a rerun of Detty Girlz on my favorite channel.

It wasn’t long before I started to doze off too. I jerked away just as the bowl clattered to the ground. Then I stared at it as it rolled, rattled to my bones.

I’d had a long and draining day with Tristan and Eli’s school. A girl had earned a good nap.

But the moment I returned to my bed and the soft sheets brushed my nipples, I thought about Tristan again. I tried to push him away, tossing and turning for hours. But he wouldn’t just go away.

Eventually, the sleep cleared from my eyes and I let out a frustrated groan. My frustration wasn’t just about the sleep I wasn’t getting. It was sexual too.

That was why I couldn’t help myself any longer. I spread my legs before I could think and let my fingers find my swollen clit. It’s so swollen the slightest touch caused me to gasp in pleasure.

This was what Tristan did to me. Or was it just my body rebelling over not getting any sex in the longest time now?

Licking my lower lip, I spread my legs wider apart and dragged all five fingers across my swollen pussy lips. A guttural, needy moan slipped out, echoing in the silence.

I should stop this, but I couldn’t bring myself to. Instead, my fingers slipped further into the warm cunt, taking up more juice and pressing against that sweet spot that made me lose my mind with pleasure.

Tristan’s face appeared in my mind, devastatingly handsome and deserving of my hate. His words echoed in my head. "I won’t let you fall a second time."

Did he even know I’d fall into his arms all day if I could just let myself go?

He probably suspected. From the way those blue eyes burned into me everything like they knew every single thought that raced through my mind, especially at the sight of him.

My nipples pebbled hard and soon, the sensation I was getting from finger-fucking myself was not enough anymore. I wanted to feel more. I wanted his bigger fingers. I wanted his lips, I wanted his tongue, I wanted his mouth.

I wanted him, shamelessly...

"Oh, fuckkk." My eyes rolled back in my head as the pleasure built to a tempo that was too much for me to handle. I came crashing with Tristan’s name on my lips, my nerves and veins cracking so violently I felt every bit of it.

As the sensation died down a few moments later, clarity returned. This was ruining the partnership in a subtle way. The hidden cracks. Fingering myself to my business partner’s face. How unprofessional.

Still...I knew this wasn’t enough. I was nowhere near satisfied. I wanted Tristan Pierce. The whole fucking package.

I arrived at the fashion house the next morning with a fresh mind and much more clarity than the previous day.

But as soon as I walked into the office, I noticed the shift in the air. The awkwardness. The whispers behind my back. The scared looks that floated my way as I glided across.

What now? Another scandal? God, I was so tired, barely recovering from the one I got caught in. I surely couldn’t handle another.

Mara was just heading towards my office and we met halfway. "Is something going on? Smells like gossip in the air."

She frowned. "You haven’t heard?"

It was my turn to frown. "Heard what?"

"Tristan’s fiancée’s in the building, and she’s asking for you."

My face fell instantly. "Madison Steele?"

"Who else?" Mara sighed and shoved her fingers through her hair, looking like she was ready to tear someone apart. "What could she want? Why would she come all the way here?"

"I guess we’ll find out." I pushed into my office and dropped my purse. "Where is she?"

"In the bridal wing. She’s been all over the place, Laura. Being a bitch."

"Stay calm. I’ll handle it."

I quickly headed over to the bridal wing of Phoenix fashion house to find Mara flipping through my white lace designs with her dirty fingers.

"How may I help you?" I stepped into view, resisting the urge to fold my arms and give her the rude, bossy attitude. I wouldn’t want to add fuel to the fire. Not now.

Madison turned and smiled at me. "Oh, it’s the model." Subtle relief flowed into my chest as her fingers dropped from the designs. She stalked over and paused a few inches away from me. "Do you think we could talk very briefly?"

"About?"

"My wedding dress." She paused, and a wicked smile spread across her lips. "Ms. Hayes, I want you to make my wedding dress."
