Chapter 742 - Infernal Charger

[Unique – Charfire Equine has transformed into Unique – Infernal Charger.]

Broken watched as Blaze underwent its transformation. The flames on its body roared more fiercely, no longer just wild energy but now solidifying into something tangible. Parts of its once-skeletal frame were now encased in fiery, armor-like structures that glowed with intense heat.

The horns on its head, previously brittle and fragmented, had become thicker and sturdier. Blaze’s body had grown larger, its stature more imposing than ever. The demon horse stood tall, exuding raw power in its new form.

Broken smiled, satisfaction clear on his face. Blaze had transcended its former self. Though the grade remained the same—Unique-grade—it was evident this transformation had brought with it new potential.

“Looks like we’ve unlocked something impressive,” he murmured.

In its previous form, Blaze possessed three core skills: one focused on enhancing mobility by boosting speed, another for executing a powerful area-of-effect attack, and a third that synchronized with its rider, granting combat benefits while the rider fought atop the demon beast.

“Blaze, come here. Let me check your status,” Broken said firmly, gesturing with his hand.

The demon horse responded, stepping forward with a powerful gait. As it reached him, Blaze lowered its head respectfully, the flames on its armor-like body flickering with restrained energy.

Broken reached out, his hand hovering just above Blaze’s form as he prepared to access its updated status.

[Name: Blaze]

[Grade: Unique]

[Race: Infernal Charger]

[Skills – 4]

Indeed, Blaze’s transformation into the Infernal Charger had brought remarkable changes. Where it previously had three skills, it now possessed four, each more potent and versatile than before.

[Infernal Charge (Active Skill)

Mode 1: Speed Burst

Movement speed increases by 200% for 8 seconds.

Cooldown: 15 seconds.

Mode 2: Infernal Rampage

Cooldown: 25 seconds.]

This skill remained similar to its previous version, but with significant upgrades. The speed boost had increased from 150% to an incredible 200%. Additionally, the skill now featured two modes:

Mode 1: Pure speed boost with a short cooldown, ideal for quick dashes and high mobility.

Mode 2: A charging attack that dealt damage to enemies in its path, though this came with a longer cooldown.

This versatility offered both mobility and a damaging offensive option, all while managing resource consumption efficiently.

[Balefire Nova (Active Skill)

Release a devastating eruption of baleful flames, consuming everything within a wide area.

Deals 700% fire elemental damage to all enemies within a 20-meter radius.

Applies Infernal Burn, dealing 100% fire damage per second over 10 seconds.

Cooldown: 50 seconds.

Duration: 10 seconds.]

A powerful AoE attack, similar to its earlier ability, but enhanced with the essence of the Balefire Demon Soul Stone. While Blaze was primarily designed as a mount for travel and combat, this skill added extra offensive capability, making it a valuable addition during large-scale battles or when surrounded by enemies.

[Demonic Unity (Active Skill)

Shares infernal power with the rider, creating a hellish bond that enhances combat abilities for both.

Increases fire damage dealt by the rider and Blaze by 20%.

Grants 10% lifesteal to the rider and Blaze’s attacks.

Reduces the cooldown of the rider’s active skills by 10%.

Cooldown: 60 seconds.

Duration: 30 seconds.]

This skill, a refined version of the original, provided immense synergy between Blaze and its rider. The buffs it granted to the rider while fighting atop Blaze had been significantly amplified, boosting offensive and defensive stats to remarkable levels.

However, the risk remained: as Blaze was a combat mount, it was susceptible to heavy damage in the chaos of battle. Fortunately, this drawback was counterbalanced by its newest skill.

[Infernal Resilience (Passive Skill)

The demonic flames provide natural protection, reducing incoming damage and punishing attackers.

Reduces all incoming damage by 15%.

Melee attackers take 100% fire damage upon attacking.

If health drops below 30%, gains 50% fire resistance and 10% lifesteal until health is restored above 50%.]

This was the crowning jewel of Blaze’s upgrade. Infernal Resilience boosted the demon horse’s defensive capabilities and provided powerful regeneration over time. This ensured Blaze could endure prolonged battles and remain a reliable mount, even under intense enemy focus.

The transformation had turned Blaze into a truly formidable companion. Its new skill set balanced mobility, offense, defense, and rider synergy, making it a critical asset for both battlefield dominance and strategic mobility.

“This is an incredible upgrade,” he murmured, running a hand along Blaze’s fiery armor. “You’ve become even more of a powerhouse, Blaze. Let’s make good use of these new strengths.”

With Blaze’s upgrades complete, Broken turned his attention to another pressing matter—his Golem Class skills.

The progress he had made was substantial, and the upgrades were beginning to transform his capabilities as a Golem Master.

Elemental Forge Storage had leveled up to level 2, increasing its capacity to 20 slots.

This was a huge improvement, as it now allowed him to store even higher grade golems, including Legendary-grade ones that previously couldn’t fit.

Thanks to this, Broken could now store his powerful Golem Blackthorn in the storage instead of having to transport it manually or making it walk on its own.

However, for now, he chose to leave the Golem Blackthorn stationed at Slumdon Town, where it could protect the area. He felt the town’s safety was a greater priority than the convenience of having the golem by his side.

Summon Elemental Golem had also leveled up to level 2, reducing its cooldown from 24 hours to 16 hours.

This one-third reduction was significant, allowing him to summon golems more frequently.

Elemental Command Slots, now at level 2, was perhaps the most impressive upgrade!

Previously, Broken could only control 2 golems at a time, which often limited his strategies and effectiveness in battle.

With the upgrade, he could now command 4 golems simultaneously. This doubled his operational capacity, giving him the ability to deploy a squad of golems for various tasks, whether in combat or for specialized missions.

With his newly upgraded skills, Broken couldn’t help but imagine the possibilities for more golems he could build.

Thanks to the materials he had gathered and stored in his inventory, he was ready to bring one of these ideas to life. Wasting no time, he moved to the next step in his plan.

Broken opened the golem creation interface.
