Chapter 716: Chapter 716 - Stay With Me

Chapter 716: Chapter 716 – Stay With Me

All eyes were locked on Duke Focalor, their primary adversary that night. However, two figures remained caught in the demon’s grip-Princess Alora, struggling as his right hand tightened around her neck, and Ivana, pinned beneath his foot, her head crushed harshly into the dirt.

Desperation filled the air as players and NPCs launched attack after attack, trying to free the two women. But Focalor proved too strong. Without moving from his spot, he summoned several magic circles around him, effortlessly repelling every assault. Each blast sent attackers flying backward, their efforts reduced to nothing.

Then, suddenly—something changed.

Ivana’s body, pinned beneath Focalor’s foot, began to glow with a brilliant white energy. The light pulsed, burning away the shadow tendrils binding her to the ground.

Focalor immediately glanced down, his expression shifting from smug confidence to shock.

What happened?!

The tense question echoed through the battlefield, whispered by everyone who witnessed the sudden change.

With a snarl, Focalor flung Alora aside, throwing her body toward the ranks of the knights. Her limp form flew through the air before crashing into the defensive line, where Lionell caught her, pulling her to safety.

Focalor, now enraged, conjured a massive energy ball in his right hand. His teeth clenched as he channeled all his fury into it, slamming the attack toward Ivana.

“Ivana! No!”

Broken sprinted toward them, panic seizing his chest. But before he could reach her-

Everything stopped!

For a brief moment, the world seemed to freeze. Sounds were sucked into silence. Time itself appeared to halt. But it wasn’t truly time that stopped-

It was gravity.

All at once, the battlefield felt as though it was being pulled toward a single point. The force wasn’t coming from Focalor-it was coming from Ivana, still lying beneath him.

Then, without warning, it happened.

A massive, supermassive explosion erupted from their position.

B-BOOOOOOM!!!

The deafening blast of pure energy ripped through the battlefield with a WHOOOMPH of unstoppable force, sending shockwaves that crashed into everything in its path, scattering debris and bodies alike.

KRAK-KOOOOM!!!

The ground shattered with a violent crack, debris whooshed through the air, and a storm of dust and rubble WHOMPED outward, engulfing the battlefield in chaos.

THUUUUMMM!!!

Broken barely registered what was happening as he was hurled backward. The shockwave tore through knights, players, demons-no one could withstand its sheer force. Those who tried to brace themselves were immediately overwhelmed, the damage from the explosion ripping through the area mercilessly.

Debris and dust swirled violently into the air, rising like a towering storm. The battlefield became a chaotic blur of flying rubble and shattered earth.

Polly emerged. Broken leapt onto her back, and with a powerful beat of her wings, she lifted him into the air, carrying him away from the epicenter of the blast.

Below, Maylock was already retreating, sprinting across the battlefield with swift movements to evade the destruction tearing through everything in its path.

“Alora?!” Broken frantically scanned the battlefield. Through the debris, he spotted Lionell, cradling Alora in his arms as he quickly retreated, carrying her to safety.

But Ivana?!

Panic clawed at his chest.

“What happened to Ivana?!”

Broken quickly checked his Affinity Status with Ivana, and her name was still there. Relief washed over him briefly-she was alive.

But… that explosion.

It was undoubtedly caused by Ivana, likely as part of the process of unlocking her seal or something deeper. Yet, why had the blast affected everyone on the battlefield?

That could only mean one thing-Ivana had no control over the explosion. Or worse, the detonation hadn’t been something she triggered intentionally.

Broken’s gaze shifted to the Guild Status panel. His heart sank as he saw more guild members marked as deceased. Only Charmelyn, Tora and Maylock remained alive, while Frostedge’s buff was still active on him, indicating that Frostedge had survived somewhere. He also spotted Galactron, hovering in the air on the head of his skeletal dragon, scanning the battlefield.

SexyGrill and SexyBloom still survived too.

As soon as the shockwave settled, Broken leaned forward. “Polly, back to the center of the explosion!” he ordered.

Polly immediately shifted her flight path, wings beating hard as they rushed back toward the epicenter of destruction.

His vision filled with a flurry of notifications, but he skipped through them all without

hesitation.

None of it mattered right now.

He needed to know.

He needed to know what happened to Ivana.

As they approached the center of the explosion, the devastation became clear. Nothing remained near the blast zone-just scorched earth and scattered debris.

Polly swooped low, Broken leapt off her back, landing firmly on the ground. He pushed forward, stepping through the swirling dust and smoke, his heart pounding in his chest. His eyes locked onto the spot where Ivana had been moments ago.

And there, standing amidst the wreckage…

Broken froze. His body tensed, his hands trembling before clenching into fists. His jaw tightened as he struggled to process what he was seeing, a swirl of emotions crashing over him-confusion, awe, and dread, all at once.

Because the figure before him wasn’t the Ivana he knew.

There she stood, her familiar blonde hair flowing past her shoulders. She was clad in heavy armor, cracked and glowing with faint traces of energy. From the cracks in her back, a pair of dragon wings slowly unfurled, stretching and flexing with a quiet, ominous grace.

Two sharp horns curved from the sides of her head, and as the dust cleared further, Broken’s gaze dropped lower-

A tail swayed behind her, slow and deliberate. A dragon’s tail.

This wasn’t just Ivana.

This was something more.

His gaze drifted beyond her, toward the distant figure that had haunted them throughout the

battle.

Duke Focalor.

The Named Demon stood motionless, watching Ivana with a cold, calculating stare. His body remained intact, untouched by the blast, his presence still radiating dread. Yet, for now, he

did nothing.

“Ivana…” Broken whispered, his mind racing.

The quest mentioned that she lost her memories.

Did unlocking the seal cause her to forget everything? Did she lose who she was? Did she forget… me?

Without hesitation, Broken began to walk toward her. Slowly, carefully, he approached the dragon-like figure standing before him. He didn’t care about Focalor. He didn’t care about

anything else at that moment.

He just needed to know that she was still Ivana.

Finally, Broken stopped, standing directly behind her. The faint glow of her dragon wings shimmered in the dim light.

“Ivana…” he murmured, his voice soft and uncertain.

At the sound of his voice, the girl stirred. Her head turned slowly, her golden hair falling

across her face as she looked back at him.

Their eyes met. Broken’s breath caught. For a fleeting second, fear clawed at his chest-fear that she wouldn’t recognize him, that she would be someone else entirely. But then he saw it.

The same eyes.

The same gaze he had come to know, filled with emotion and warmth.

Without a second thought, Broken stepped closer and wrapped his arms around her, pulling

her into a firm embrace. There was no hesitation. No doubt. He held her tightly, as if

anchoring her to the world.

She didn’t pull away.

“You are still the Ivana I know,” Broken whispered. “You haven’t lost anything.”

Moments passed in silence before a soft voice broke through.

“Broken…” she finally said.

“I’m with you,” he whispered back, holding her closer. “I won’t leave you. No matter what

happens, I’m here.”

Ivana’s body trembled slightly in his arms. “What should I do?”

“End our enemy. And everything will go back to how it was.” “But… I… I’m not the same Ivana anymore…” she said softly, her voice wavering.

Broken pulled back just enough to look at her, his hands cupping her face. “You are the same

Ivana. You’ve never changed. You’re still the kind, caring Ivana I’ve always known.”

There was a pause, the weight of his words settling over her. Slowly, she nodded. “I’m scared…” she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.

“You don’t have to be afraid,” Broken reassured her. “We’ll get through this together.”

For a moment, silence stretched between them, broken only by the distant sounds of the

battlefield. Then, Ivana’s quiet voice reached his ears once more.

“Stay with me.”

“I will,” Broken said. “Always.”

“What a touching moment,” came a cold voice from the other side. “Has the little romance

scene ended? Because I’m getting a bit sick of watching this.”

The demon spread his arms wide.

“What a jackpot this is, actually,” he continued. “I couldn’t have asked for more. I’ll absorb

all of your power… and no one will be able to stop me.”
