“Here… These are spell scrolls,” Nightfire said, her tone light but carrying a hint of pride as she handed him a bundle of aged parchments tied neatly with twine.

“Hmm?” Aether raised a brow, taking the bundle.

“What?” Nightfire asked, turning her head to the side, her lips curling into a knowing smirk. “You asked for the illusion of your previous body, didn’t you?” She took her time, pulling her clothes back on, each movement deliberate and smooth, as though she was savouring the moment… Whatever she doing… she was really doing it on purpose.

Especially shaking the booty while seductively wearing the pants!

“Oh…” Aether blinked and ignored her provocation, his expression shifting from confusion to surprise. “I thought creating spell scrolls like these was rare…”

Nightfire grinned wider, clearly enjoying his reaction, “Rare for most, yes. But I’m not most. I’m one of a kind. So, naturally, I can do what others can’t.” Her fingers danced over the scrolls, tracing the intricate markings.

“I’ve already fine-tuned the illusion. Just pour your energy into the scroll, and it will activate immediately. However…” Her voice grew serious. “It’ll only last about two or three hours per scroll. So, use them wisely–” She stopped, narrowing her eyes when she noticed Aether already unravelling one of the scrolls.

His muscular, broad form flickered, shrinking and twisting until he was lean, weak, and small. His once imposing figure now seemed fragile… just like a servant!

Aether stared at his body, running his hands over the illusion. “So cool…” His voice was filled with awe, but his fingers tightened… Even though the image was perfect, he felt nothing. No solid muscle. No strength. ‘Is this really just an illusion? Or some kind of deeper transformation?’ he wondered.

Just then,

“Wondering if it’s more than an illusion, aren’t you?” Nightfire’s amused tone broke through his thoughts. She crossed her arms, her hips swaying as she walked closer.

“It feels real, doesn’t it? That’s how succubus magic works. We’re masters of deception. You should know… not all of us are born curvy or seductive. Some of us come into this world ugly, twisted, or… less than perfect.” She chuckled a dark, sultry sound, “But our magic? It compensates. When prey touches us, they feel what they see—whatever fantasy they desire. Every curve, every edge… they believe it’s real.”

Aether absorbed her words, nodding slowly. “That’s… impressive. And terrifying.” he thought what if other old succubus use this power to play around with young man?… that would be hilarious!!

He looked at the stack of scrolls again, his mind racing, ‘She’s not just helping me on a whim. She prepared these in advance… She’s thought this through.’

His gaze shifted to her, his tone thoughtful. “You’ve given me something incredible. I’m grateful. But… What do you want in return?”

Nightfire’s eyes sparkled, “Co—”

“No.” Aether cut her off, his voice firm. “Anything but that.”

She groaned, rolling her eyes. “Fine. Teleport me to the teleportation station. Happy now?”

Aether laughed softly, shaking his head. “So, I’m a transportation service now, huh?” He walked over to her, his eyes narrowing. “Are you ready? Or does Ashara need to take over again?”

Nightfire zipped up her final bag, sighing. “No, I’m fine. After swallowing that capsule, I don’t feel hungry or… well, hot anymore. Ashara and I agreed to switch only when absolutely necessary. I’m stable for now.”

Aether raised a brow, ‘Better than expected…’ He gave her a small nod. “Shall we, my lady?”

“Wait!” She held out her hand. “Give me your mask.”

He hesitated but handed it over. Nightfire used her claws… and etched something onto the back of it before returning it. “There. A sealing spell. No other succubus or incubus will be able to sense your secrets anymore.”

Aether examined the mask, then looked at her, slightly taken aback. “Thank you… for everything.”

Nightfire shrugged but smiled warmly. “Don’t mention it. “I already packed everything let’s go~” She wrapped her arms around him tightly, her body pressed close. In a flash, they disappeared.

They reappeared in front of the teleportation station, the air around them crackling with residual energy.

Nightfire turned to leave just as about to enter when she halted her steps and sighed, glancing over her shoulder.

She hesitated, biting her lip before awkwardly waving. “Well… see you later!” A faint blush dusted her cheeks as she turned to leave.

Aether watched her go, chuckling under his breath. He shook his head, vanishing once more, reappearing in the academy’s empty corridor.

He had three hours before the illusion wore off. ‘Perfect. Let’s see how everyone reacts. Especially Alaric… Can he see through it?’

A sly grin spread across his face. “Let’s test it.”

“Test what?” A familiar voice interrupted.

Aether spun around, startled, meeting the sharp gaze of Alaric, who was turned from the corner and walking words with glare, his tone annoyed, “What are you doing here?”

Aether shrugged nonchalantly, “Just walking around…”

Alaric stepped closer, towering over him. “Servants shouldn’t wander without their masters. What are you doing here? Should I teach you?” His eyes narrowed suspiciously.

‘He can’t see through the illusion… Damn. Succubus illusions are truly terrifying.’ Aether smirked. “Actually, I came to give you something…. A souvenir.”

Alaric blinked, caught off guard. “A… souvenir? For me?” Alaric almost thought maybe Aether was not bad since no one except him brought souvenirs for him!

Step.

Aether nodded, “Yes. The best gift I could find for you in Pyra Empire” He pointed at Alaric’s head.

Alaric frowned, reaching up. His eyes widened. “W-When did this…?” A bright green hat sat on his head, one he hadn’t noticed until now!

‘When did he become faster?’ Alaric thought, his mind racing with shock. He opened his mouth to demand an answer when—

Aether’s expression shifted to one of pity, “I know it must be tough… losing your title. An emperor’s downfall is no easy burden to bear,” he said, his voice dripping with sympathy…. almost crying but then, his face twisted into a sly smirk. “But don’t worry, Aria—my lover—will take care of things. She’s far more competent than a certain incompetent elf… wouldn’t you agree?”

“HOW DARE YOU!!”

BOOM!!

Alaric’s rage exploded as he threw a punch—yet it hit nothing but air.

Step…

Aether was already several feet away, his body relaxed, a sly grin plastered across his face. He winked. “You should really get a handle on that temper of yours, Alaric.

Who knows? You might be facing a future emperor with a beautiful elven wife someday. Peace~.” He flashed a mocking peace sign with two fingers, turned on his heel, and walked away with infuriating confidence, not even glancing back.

Alaric clenched his fists, his throat dry as he swallowed hard. His entire body trembled with fury. “That fucking slut… and this irritating insect… I’ll crush both of them! BOTH!!” He ripped the green hat from his head, slamming it onto the ground and stomping on it with a snarl.

Students nearby paused, staring at him with wide eyes, whispering among themselves.

One of the assistant professors hesitantly stepped forward. “S-Sir…”

“What?!” Alaric barked, his voice thunderous, making the professor flinch in fear.

“Y-You’re… wearing a green hat,” the assistant stammered, pointing shakily at Alaric’s head.

“Huh?” Alaric frowned, his hand instinctively reaching up to his head. His fingers brushed against fabric—another green hat.

His eyes widened in disbelief.

“AETHER!!” he roared, his face contorted with fury and humiliation.

Now he understood. Aether had given him a green hat—the ultimate insult!!!

But why two?

….

Meanwhile…

“Achoo!” Aether sneezed, rubbing his nose with a grin. “Two hats at the same time… Not bad for my speed. And he couldn’t even track my movements. That means…” His eyes gleamed with excitement. ‘I might be able to face him, after all.’

He shrugged, mumbling to himself. “Anyway…”

Aether spent the next few hours wandering the academy, teasing students and staff alike, revelling in their reactions.

When the illusion finally wore off, he found himself standing before a grand, quiet house, its impressive facade looming over him.

Knock, knock.

Thud!

The door creaked open, and a figure emerged—Delphine, wearing a casual sweater, her cheeks flushed with warmth. She smiled softly, stepping aside to let Aether in.
