Chapter 2595: I’m the Kind to Exact Vengeance

Chapter 2595: I’m the Kind to Exact Vengeance

Zu An was perplexed by the Goddess of Wu Mountain’s particular interest in the Yinxu dungeon. He tried asking about it, but she refused to answer. She simply looked away with flushed cheeks and evasive eyes. Despite being confused, he still told her everything he knew. Of course, he wasn’t so tactless as to carelessly reveal insider details about the time he spent with Manman.

The Goddess of Wu Mountain was extremely curious about that, but how was she supposed to ask about that? She could only ask details about the Yinxu dungeon to corroborate the illusion she'd seen back then.

A long time later, she remarked, “Xihe said that I could be Miss Pei’s previous incarnation. Do you believe that?”

Zu An chuckled. “Yes and no.”

The Goddess of Wu Mountain was confused. “Ah?”

“I believe it because the two of you are identical. That’s why I mistook you for her the first time we met. It would be too much of a coincidence to say that there's no connection between the two of you. However, I also don’t believe it because your personalities are drastically different. You’re cool and graceful, while Manman is as passionate as fire.”

The Goddess of Wu Mountain’s eyes drooped. “You must find me too cold.”

“That’s not it. I have met women whose personalities resemble yours, such as Chu...” Zu An’s smile suddenly stiffened up. It didn’t seem like a wise idea to talk about other women in front of a woman.

The Goddess of Wu Mountain teased him. “You’re indeed a player.”

Zu An felt awkward. “It’s not what you think...” But he had no idea how he could explain it.

The Goddess of Wu Mountain didn’t harp on this topic. “Do you prefer ladies who are cooler or more passionate?”

Zu An was stunned. For a moment, he couldn’t tell whether she was asking him to compare between Chuyan and Manman or her and Manman... However, he reacted quickly. “Only children do multiple choice questions. Adults take it all.”

It wasn't a direct answer, but it still said it all.

“You’re so sly.” The Goddess of Wu Mountain regretted the question as soon as she blurted it. She had no idea what prompted her to ask such a question. Is it because he’s fated to leave this world?

His answer was just nice. It didn’t make her feel awkward or uncomfortable.

Just like that, they sat by the cliff shoulder beside shoulder and chatted for a long time...

After several days of rest and recuperation, the ladies made huge strides in their recovery. Even Ji Xiaoxi was much more spirited than before.

The Goddess of Wu Mountain asked, “Where do you intend to head next?”

“Taoqiu!”

“The human race’s capital?” The Goddess of Wu Mountain was taken aback. Zu An had been gathering information about the human race in recent days, but she didn’t expect that to be his next destination.

“I need the Human World’s power insignia, so I have to pay a visit to the human race.” Zu An didn’t explain any further. He had planned to leave the three ladies here, but now that they had recovered, they insisted on tagging along.

Zu An didn’t turn them away. He grabbed them and began making his way to Taoqiu. He had already figured out the directions there over the last few days. This world was massive, but with his Rainbow Morph, it didn’t take him long to reach Taoqiu. Unlike the humble tribes he had seen before, Taoqiu was already taking the shape of a city. It even had city walls.

In this era, most humans wore straw clothes and grass skirts. Some of them even just went around nude, except for some leaves covering their genitals. In contrast, Taoqiu’s populace was clothed, albeit in rough and crude clothes. Nevertheless, hints of the future prosperity of the human civilization could already be seen here.

“So this was how human civilization came to be.” Ji Xiaoxi was awed. As a human, she felt proud to see how this city was slowly becoming more prosperous.

Xie Daoyun also observed the city in excitement. This was a rare glimpse into history.

“What a pity we’re here as enemies,” Zu An remarked with a sigh.

Ji Xiaoxi and Xie Daoyun were stunned.

Even the Goddess of Wu Mountain was baffled. You’re a human too! Did you come here to massacre your ancestors?!

Zu An was not here to deal with the ordinary humans. Instead, he took a deep breath and roared, “Feng Meng, get out here!”

His voice boomed thunderously across the city.

The humans were horrified. Some warriors rushed out with their weapons.

“Who dares to cause trouble...” Some warriors rushed out with their weapons and glared at the group in animosity... although that lessened when they saw how ravishing Xie Daoyun, Ji Xiaoxi, and the Goddess of Wu Mountain were. “What do you want? Feng Meng is the hero of our human race!”

Zu An frowned. He roared once more, “Feng Meng, are you going to hole yourself up like a tortoise?”

The warriors were infuriated. They angrily criticized Zu An for his disrespect.

Zu An received a huge influx of Rage points, but his calm gaze remained fixed on a specific direction in the city.

There was a burst of white light, and an arrow appeared before him the next instant. It was so fast that the three women beside him didn’t even have time to warn him to be careful.

However, the arrow stopped in front of Zu An, unable to advance any further, as he'd caught it with two fingers.

The human warriors gasped. They hadn’t expected the intruder to catch Feng Meng’s divine arrow so easily. What’s his background?

Feng Meng appeared on the city wall. He was taken aback to see Zu An. “It’s you.”

Without any hesitation, Zu An drew the Sun Slaying Bow and shot an arrow at him.

Feng Meng was startled, but he quickly nocked his bow and retaliated with an arrow of his own.

His archery was indeed formidable; his arrow accurately struck the one Zu An shot. This brought a hint of glee to his lips. However, his smile soon froze in place when Zu An’s arrow split his arrow into halves before whizzing toward him. The arrow was moving so fast that he had no time to dodge.

Just then, a saber suddenly appeared out of nowhere and hacked down on the arrow, changing its trajectory.

Feng Meng snapped out of his daze and hurriedly dodged to the side, but the arrow still scraped his arm. There was a burst of bloody mist as the arrow’s sheer momentum ripped off his arm.

A woman beside him quickly fed him a pill. “Eat it!”

Feng Meng quickly popped down the pill. The stump of his ripped arm began wriggling as another arm swiftly sprouted out. However, his complexion remained awful. I didn’t expect a mere scrape to result in such a severe injury.

The brawny, saber-wielding man looked at Zu An in astonishment, too. “It hasn’t been long since we parted ways. How did you become so strong?”

“It has been a while, Lord of Slaughter, and...” Zu An’s gaze fell on Salamay.
