Chapter 780 - Capítulo 780: 780 Anyone Who Blocks Dies
Capítulo 780: 780 Anyone Who Blocks Dies
Hobilarze leapt forward to intervene, but Bradley suddenly shed his lightning dragon armor. Cecil turned into a dragon and bit down on half of Hobilarze’s body.
“Brother!”
Aurex cried out and threw himself into the fray to help.
Madman flashed a grim smile at him. “Transcendent-tier power is impressive, sure. But do you know how long we prepared for this moment?”
“Today, you two pests have to die for me!”
With that, Madman lunged, seizing Aurex’s arm and grinning maliciously. “Awakening: Xuanming Shift!”
“You…”
Aurex’s vision swam. He blinked and looked around dazed. He suddenly noticed the hem of someone’s robe. The person bent down and smiled at him. “I planned to ignore you, yet you keep coming to me.”
Aurex collapsed to the ground, frozen with terror. His heart felt as if it would burst from his chest. The face before him was none other than Orson.
Madman’s assassination technique Xuanming Shift was normally rated A, a largely useless trick in most situations. It required pre-setting coordinates on an ally and then, through contact, forcibly teleporting an enemy to stand beside that ally. Ninety-nine times out of a hundred it was a dirty trick that ruined teammates. But what if your teammate was someone nobody dared provoke?
“Orgod, you dared kill my brother. This war will never end!”
Taran roared in fury at the sight.
“Fuck you!”
The curse came from Breeze, who was usually quiet and reserved. He had been holding a simmering anger for a long time. Ten years ago he was content to lie low, play games, and play chess with park elders. He never had ambitions to dominate the world. His only hobby was testing game mechanics and showing off to his sister now and then.
When the world fusion happened and many powerhouses appeared, the ceasefire with Pantheon Sanctum was an obvious loss. Godslayer’s morale had sunk, and hope for reclaiming Earth dimmed. Breeze, who had quietly trained the next generation in the rear, could no longer stand by while Bradley was captured and Madman cornered. He had to act.
As king of the United Arena, Breeze had crushed the arrogance of otherworld challengers and encouraged brothers forced to a second world on Mars.
“Awakening: Sacred Assault Edge!”
Breeze’s eyes widened. A savage light sharpened his handsome face. A divine gleam burst between the two sides. Taran’s expression shifted as he glanced instinctively at his grip on the axe.
Sacred Assault Edge is an A-rank anti-guard technique. Normally Taran could ignore such a move, but the arena king’s close-quarters mastery was peerless. The war sword nicked a faint line in Taran’s palm. It was barely a cut, recoverable in an instant.
Then the blade rose. Taran’s pupils widened. The divine weapon in his hand slipped free and hovered. Breeze’s face went cold. “Awakening: Divine Judgment!”
An SS-rank awakening formed a pure white greatsword. Breeze lifted it high. Space itself buckled and a destructive aura surged.
“Awakening: Thunderbolt Frenzy!”
“Awakening: Eternal Night Raid!”
Bradley and Madman exchanged a glance, seizing the chance. One attacked from the left, one from the right, and they erupted with furious battle cries toward Taran.
In a flash, Taran’s gaze hardened. His hair stood on end. He pushed his aura to its limits. The three of them looked like they faced an immortal thunder beast being born, its maw opening to swallow them whole.
“You are asking for death.”
Taran’s smile turned cold. A golden light coalesced in his hand and a war hammer bathed in lightning appeared.
“Christ, a second divine weapon!”
A chill ran down Bradley’s spine. They had thought stripping Taran’s artifact would cripple him. None expected he had a second one hidden.
The die was cast. The three hardened their resolve. Even if they faced a god-king, they would cut this bastard down today.
Roar!
Under Chaos Iron Guard’s blessing, the three taboo techniques carved the sky. The very fabric of the temple trembled.
“Lord Taran!”
Hobilarze broke free of Cecil’s bite, a trailing afterimage as he hurled himself toward Taran, intending to use his superlative defense to shield him. But the three converging beams of light smashed Hobilarze apart. His impenetrable body shattered in seconds.
“You golden statue, damn it!”
“Get out of the way!”
“Whoever blocks dies!”
The three men were furious and utterly unrestrained.
“This is like a top-tier Lower God strike at full force!”
Hobilarze stared in disbelief. Could mortals truly match gods? He vanished, half of his body gone, but he had not absorbed much of the combined blow. He looked at Taran with dread. A being who inherited a high-tier god-seed was critical to Pantheon Sanctum; any loss was unacceptable.
Taran’s face darkened. A sneer crossed his brow. He growled, “Soul Seal Ultimate: Immortal Sovereign Form!”
Bang.
A bone-tingling vibration gripped everyone’s teeth. Simultaneously the thought raced through their minds: this guy’s skull is hard as rock.
Their united assault was violently rebounded by a horrifying thunderstorm.
Breeze adjusted midair. Feathers scattered. His blade gouged a jagged scar into the ground as he spat a mouthful of bloody organs.
Bradley shattered two pillars, vomited a stream of blood, and struggled upright with great difficulty. Drops of red seeped from his forearms.
“What the hell…”
Madman slammed like a missile into the ruins, colliding with god-tier challenger Ovila. Both tumbled hundreds of meters into the wreckage.
“Huh, that felt squishy.”
Madman blinked. He realized he had crashed into Ovila and felt as if he had smashed into tofu.
“You perverted scum!”
Before Madman could react, Ovila flushed with anger. Ignoring the pain in her chest, she mounted a bone dragon and fled.
“This chick’s got it in for me, damn it.”
Madman cursed, but then SirLagsALot’s panicked shout rang out. “Dodge, kill coin!”
“Huh?”
Madman’s face fell. A strange humanoid bolt of lightning had appeared a few meters ahead, moving faster than the eye could track.
Boom!
Boom!
Explosions cracked underfoot. Madman scrambled wildly to dodge. Trapped challengers who failed to move in time were shredded into paste.
“I’m dying. I’m dying. Damn, I’m not married. I’m still a virgin…”
Madman lost all composure and turned into a black tide, hurling himself into nearby enemies to possess them.
But the lightning figure was impossibly fast. Within seconds he had driven Madman to the edge of defeat.
“Go save the kill coin!” Bradley shouted, panic rising. He grabbed Breeze to help.
“Who dares provoke the Thunder God’s son? No one runs.”
They moved, but a dozen divine wills suddenly intervened, encircling them. Although Bradley and Breeze were formidable, these schemers were hard to overcome, and the tide turned against them.
“Hurt them at all and he dies. You handle it.”
Just as Taran prepared to strike, a light voice reached his ear. His hammer hovered midair.
“Whoever dares manifest, I will destroy their Infinite Dimensions world.”
Orson strode forward, carrying Aurex in one hand. He walked the void wielding the Chaos Sword, a broad aureole of crimson light trailing behind him. He marched straight toward the cluster of divine wills.
