Chapter 4515: Brutality! II
Chapter 4515: Brutality! II
The Way.
After defeating a terrifying enemy that should have been far beyond his capabilities, Noah found himself thinking about this concept again and again. He could not get his mind off the topic.
As he stood there amidst the devastation of what he had just accomplished in this poisonous region, he found himself looking upward to the expanse of roiling mists and terrifying environments that composed The Infinite Unfurling.
He voiced out his thoughts with calm certainty.
"The Way is... totality."
HUUM!
His existence buzzed as if he was touching upon something of profound profundity, as if Existence itself was acknowledging his understanding.
Tor heard him say this after his glorious victory and appeared beside him again. The entity looked Noah over from head to toe as if he had passed some sort of critical test.
"Yes," Tor said with satisfaction gleaming in his abyssal eyes. "The Way is the totality of how one lives their existence. Not just how you fight, but everything."
He gestured broadly.
"The way one talks, the way one walks, the way they eat, the way they shit, the way they fuck, the way they sleep, the way they breathe... all of it has to match the fundamental nature of your claimed Sovereignty. If your Way is Hunger, you have to hunger in totality across every single thing that you do. Not just in battle, not just when consuming enemies, but in everything."
His voice took on a glorious quality.
"You are barely just beginning to discover your Sovereignty, Outsider. The more you use your Way of existence in legitimately applicable ways, like having your Way oppose other Ways in direct confrontation, it will be like you are honing your blade and making it sharper and sharper with each stroke."
He looked at Noah with intensity.
"You realize more and more about your Way of existence through use, through conflict, through application. After a battle like the one you just fought, where you exerted your Way with that glimmer of THE in your existence through, you should be extremely perceptive to your Way of existence right now."
Tor’s smile widened.
"You may even feel as if you’re standing at the top of Existence. As if you are untouchable, invincible, absolute. This is a unique and good state of mind to be in, a heightened awareness that allows for rapid growth. We just need to make sure that it does not get you killed through overconfidence."
He gestured toward the horizon.
"But it is also why I had multiple other opponents already located that you could fight next. When your Way burns brightly as it is right now, when you can feel every aspect of your Sovereignty with crystal clarity, we have to continue striking the iron while it burns hot and see just how far you can get before this state of heightened awareness fades."
...!
Noah nodded slightly at this wisdom, and when he spoke, his voice carried the weight of absolute certainty.
"Mana and Hunger," he said with calm authority. "These are not merely Weavings I wield. They are the totality of my existence."
His eyes gazed into the distance as he continued.
"When I breathe, I am breathing in Mana from the surroundings and hungrily devouring the authority in the atmosphere to fuel my existence. When I move, my body burns Mana and hungers for more movement, more action, more advancement. When I think, my thoughts are composed of Mana arranged in patterns, and my mind hungers for knowledge, for understanding, for revelation, for Quintessence."
His hands clenched into fists.
"When I fight, I am not simply using Mana and Hunger as weapons. I am Mana and Hunger manifested in physical form, opposing all that stands before me. When I consume my enemies, I am not merely growing stronger. I am expressing the fundamental truth of my Way: that all things can be broken down into Mana, and all things hunger to become more than they are."
Noah’s voice grew more commanding.
"My Way is infinitely profound because I can apply it in countless manifestations. Every action I take, every word I speak, every thought I process, all of it reinforces and deepens my understanding of what Mana and Hunger truly represent at the most fundamental level of existence."
His gaze turned cold and tyrannical.
"So yes. Let us see who else will be cut down for the sake of my Way. Let us see what other so-called Sovereignties will be devoured and incorporated. Let us continue until my understanding reaches such depths that even THE entities will have to acknowledge it."
...!
Tor’s eyes shone with brilliant satisfaction at such words. Obsidian-crimson waves of Hunger wrapped around both of them, and they disappeared from the poisonous swamp.
Noah felt the surging waves of spatial compression all around them as they traveled. He continued to look at his hands, feeling the terrifying strength of the True Expression of The Sovereignty of Mana and Hunger that had faded away and now waited to be activated once more.
It could only be unleashed with the usage of a product that could only come from THE Organ of Civilization.
He continued endlessly pouring more and more of his Primus Mana and Civilizational Authority of Mana and Hunger into the Organ as he knew that the more it developed, the more Unquantifiable Units of Everything he would likely be capable of forging simultaneously.
Toward THE Surface Depth of Absolute Sovereignty, this authority in the form of Mobius strips would be something unfathomably normal for him to possess. They would make up every single ounce and iota of his power.
When such time came, how much closer would he be to being capable of withstanding The Fallout?
His eyes flashed coldly at the thought as he focused on his surroundings.
Tor seemed to be looking at him and smiling silently before he spoke with approval.
"I had expected you to be burning with arrogance after such a victory, drunk on the feeling of power," he said with measured words. "But you seem to be reining it in a great deal. It is a good quality."
His expression became stern.
"Be strong, yes. Be confident in your Way, absolutely. But do not forget that you are still weak in the grand scheme of things. Use that weakness as if it is a monstrous predator chasing you, forcing you to run unfathomably fast toward more strength."
His voice dropped.
"Because if that monster does ever catch you, if you come across another THE entity that simply wants to use you as a snack and you cannot escape or hide, no matter how grand your Way of existence is, if it has not matured and developed sufficiently, it will be snuffed out completely."
He gestured ahead.
"But hey, here we are. Let’s see how much you can grow before something inevitably happens to derail us...haha!"
