Chapter 4439: Infinite Hunger! IV
Chapter 4439: Infinite Hunger! IV
The glorious scene that unfolded carried the weight of a covenant being established.
Leonore Rureaux fell to her knees with surrender and determination!
She accepted the Spark as it descended toward her, biting her lips with internal struggle concluding in favor of acceptance.
Her figure began illuminating with gloriously blue Mana- pure essence of Noah’s Civilization suffusing her existence and marking her as member of his Way!
Riya smiled at successful the conversion before looking toward Noah with characteristic playfulness:
"Ancestor, shall I get on my knees for you too? Perhaps in more... private circumstances?"
Noah raised his brows at this suggestion as this brilliant woman seemed a bit parched. He had to provide her some water soon!
He responded with amusement and firm direction.
"Stop playing around. Join the others inside for a show soon, one you won’t want to miss."
He waved his hand as brilliant blue-gold light wrapped around both women positioned before him, and they disappeared instantly- transported directly into The Infiniverse’s interior to await the emergence of the Primus Inevitabilities of Mana and Hunger.
He then looked up at the grand structure before him as his playful smile faded, replaced by an expression of profound contemplation.
All surrounding crimson-blue molten Mana began flowing toward him with inexorable force as his body commenced enlarging in size with breathtaking velocity.
His form rapidly expanded beyond normal proportions, becoming more than light years in diameter, then continuing growth until reaching scales measured in Gigaparsecs!
Ridiculously massive was an understatement.
The glorious scene defied conventional spatial understanding. Noah in his tremendous form, existence expanded to proportions that made galaxies seem like scattered dust, proceeded to float below the massive circular Infiniverse.
With movements of both practical purpose and symbolic weight, he positioned the colossal structure upon his neck and back, supporting its entirety through his expanded form.
Like the ancient mythological figure of an entity bearing a celestial sphere, Noah took the weight of his entire Civilization upon his shoulders!
HUUM!
His posture suggested the strain that was more philosophical than physical, the weight representing not mere mass but accumulated obligations and promises made to those dwelling within.
A prompt bloomed within his consciousness with a concerned tone.
Master, you don’t need to perform such physical demonstration. You could miniaturize the Infiniverse and transport it with minimal expenditure. This seems...unnecessarily theatrical, though I’ll admit the symbolism has certain gravitas.
Noah smiled at the prompt as he responded with a voice of reflective depth.
"I know I could employ simpler methodology. But this... I am feeling particularly contemplative at this moment. Do you comprehend what the stance I am taking as I hold up the Infiniverse truly represents?"
At such question, extensive prompts materialized with a heavy philosophical weight
The Atlas posture. Interesting choice for someone who usually prefers efficiency over symbolism.
This stance symbolizes responsibility, perseverance, and strength.
An action like this represents far more than physical demonstration of power. It embodies the father persevering through hardship, doing everything necessary for his family’s continuation. It represents the mother bearing weight of expectations while nurturing those dependent upon her. It symbolizes the daughter carrying forward legacy while forging new paths. It manifests the son shouldering responsibilities inherited from predecessors.
All existences carry some form of responsibility, burdens accepted or imposed. And they must persevere through difficulty. They must hold strong when circumstances demand surrender.
The Atlas does not simply carry weight. The Atlas chooses to carry weight when alternatives exist. That choice transforms burden into purpose. That choice transforms suffering into meaning. Through the weight carried, the bearer grows stronger through persistence.
Perseverance isn’t the absence of struggle. Perseverance is continuation despite struggle. Strength isn’t the absence of doubt. Strength is action despite uncertainty.
Every step taken while bearing burden represents triumph over despair. Every moment sustained represents victory over collapse.
Though I should note...this level of introspection from you usually means you’re processing a decision you’re not entirely comfortable with.
...!
Noah smiled and nodded at such words as his voice emerged with contemplative depth.
"Yes, we have to be strong. Even when things feel overwhelmingly oppressive, even when it seems like existence itself conspires against us, we have to hold strong through sheer determination."
His gaze became distant.
"I know that I am a spectacular existence...someone who has advanced at velocity that defies normal probability. I know my Mana is ridiculous. My existence is ridiculous. I know."
"But I also know to remind myself every now and then how I began like countless others across the folds, across existence..as just a man. Just a man with responsibilities. A son. Eventually a father. Someone with people depending on him."
His expression softened slightly.
"And I continue to carry those responsibilities to this day. Every choice I make affects not just myself but everyone within this structure I bear. And every now and then I find myself questioning whether I made the right decisions...whether alternative paths might have yielded better outcomes."
His voice carried weight of recent reflection.
"The most recent choice that occupied my contemplation was how things unfolded with The First Farmer. In my mind, someone who was actively conspiring to ruin my foundation and steal my Perpetual Harvest isn’t someone I would simply lend helping hand to right after discovery. That was my thought and that was my conviction."
He paused.
"And so I did not lend that helping hand. I caught the thief stealing from me as it may have not been the first time he stole, just the first time I caught him. But I could have gone another route. Given benefit of the doubt. Considered that perhaps his desperation stemmed from circumstances I hadn’t fully comprehended."
"What an entity The First Farmer was. Someone capable of nurturing Principles themselves. He could have truly been great. Could have been magnificent ally rather than desperate enemy. Every now and then I’ll find myself thinking about that choice, wondering if my judgment was too harsh, too absolute."
His expression hardened slightly.
"Whether all the choices I make are right or wrong, I won’t know with surety until consequences fully manifest. I will only continue making choices that appear to benefit me and my people the most based on available information. Ah, perseverance, responsibility, and strength. One has to be strong to make the choices that could be right or wrong... and live with outcomes either way."
After articulating these words, Noah took single massive step and moved light years away while carrying the colossal structure on his back.
He crossed the regions of collapse instantly, entering into the vast Wandering Territories with momentum.
These regions were much, much larger than the Minor Folds or even the Transcendent Folds where Living Existences clustered.
The Wandering Territories represented unexplored vastness that dwarfed all catalogued domains, places where beings could hide for eons without discovery.
Since things were about to get significantly more complicated and considerably busier with multiple factions potentially converging, there was no harm in reducing exposure.
He followed the path of seeking out Collapsed Civilizations while simultaneously removing his primary assets from vulnerable positions.
And so the glorious scene of a man carrying an utterly massive structure on his back could be observed by nobody...as he moved through territories so vast and empty that witnesses simply didn’t exist.
Those who did exist were unfathomably dangerous!
