Chapter 3960: Advancement and Inevitabilities! IV
Chapter 3960: Advancement and Inevitabilities! IV
What is Order?
Order is not the mere absence of chaos, though chaos flees before its presence!
Order is not simply organization, though all things organize themselves according to its will.
Order is the first word spoken when THE Creature looked upon the void!
It is the fundamental assertion that existence has meaning, that patterns have purpose, that there is a correct way for Existence to unfold!
It is the existential parent that looks upon the tantrums of entropy and says, with infinite patience and inexorable certainty...
|No.|
HUUM!
No!
Order does not destroy chaos...it contains it, shapes it, gives it boundaries within which it can exist without consuming everything. It is the frame that holds the painting, the banks that guide the river, the rules that make the game worth playing!
And in this moment, in this place of pure paradox where impossibility had made itself king, Order reasserted its primordial claim.
The moment Sigrid’s hand completed its descent, white brilliance erupted from her form with the patient certainty of dawn breaking over Existence that had forgotten the sun existed.
It didn’t explode outward like lesser displays of power...it simply was, and then everything else had to accommodate its presence.
The light moved like honey poured from thr skies, thick with authority that predated the very concept of authority. It flowed over the flaming obsidian walls, and suddenly the flames burned at exactly the temperature they should, no longer existing in paradoxical states of hot-cold-both-neither.
The walls themselves straightened, their surfaces becoming uniform, their reality stabilizing into something that could be trusted to remain what it appeared to be.
The environmental anomalies that had made every step an act of faith simply... stopped.
Gravity reasserted itself in a single, comprehensible direction. The air became air again, not a probability of atmosphere that might or might not sustain life. The ground solidified into actual ground that would support weight according to predictable laws of physics.
And the Inevitability...that five-bodied horror of tentacles and hunger...found itself suddenly bound by rules it had never agreed to follow.
Its writhing ceased not because it chose to stop, but because Order had decided that writhing was no longer permitted!
Its tentacles, which had existed in multiple states and positions simultaneously, were forced to choose single, definite locations.
Its five bodies, which had shared distributed consciousness across paradoxical space, found themselves clearly delineated, separate yet connected in ways that Order would allow!
The creature’s scream of rage became a whimper of confusion as it discovered that it could no longer simply decide to exist differently. It was what it was, where it was, when it was, and Order would take no argument on these points!
...!
Noah was astonished.
This...was Order?!
How the hell did THE Paradox manage to destroy it?!
Sigrid’s eyes blazed with white fire as understanding crystallized within her.
"Cleansing Inevitabilities... will help establish my Order!"
The declaration rang with certainty.
Each Inevitability defeated wouldn’t just be an enemy destroyed...it would be chaos transformed into structure, entropy forced to acknowledge its proper boundaries!
She was not just fighting; she was imposing her fundamental nature upon a reality that had forgotten what Order meant.
Titano, finding his opponent suddenly stationary and comprehensible, released a booming laugh that shook dust from the now-stable ceiling. "Young Miss! The Baddie of Brother! You make breaking much easier!"
HUUM!
His massive hands moved with renewed purpose, no longer needing to chase probabilities or guess at quantum positions.
The Inevitability was simply there, bound by Order’s decree to be exactly what it appeared to be. Titano’s fingers splayed wide, and from them erupted something that made even Noah’s eyes widen with appreciation.
Solid arms of compressed existence materialized...not projections of energy or constructs of authority, but actual arms that seemed to have been carved from the concept of strength itself!
Each one was the size of an ancient tree, knuckles like boulders, fingers thick as classical pillars.
They moved with Titano’s will but carried their own terrible weight, as if he had reached into the place where force lived and convinced it to take shape just for him.
"Now," Titano growled with satisfaction, "Titano will show why Titano breaks Royal Living Existences!"
The massive arms reached out with inexorable purpose, each one grasping one of the five Inevitability bodies with grip that would have crushed mountains into dust!
The creature tried to resist, its tentacles flailing desperately, but against the combined might of Titano’s strength and Order’s binding, it might as well have been struggling against the heat death of Existence itself.
With a motion that looked almost gentle despite its devastating force, Titano brought his hands together!
The arms followed suit, dragging the five bodies of the Inevitability into a single point of space. The sound that followed was not quite crushing, not quite tearing, but something that existed between...the sound of multiple realities being forced to become one, of distributed existence being compressed into singularity!
The Inevitability’s scream cut off abruptly as its five bodies were crumpled together like paper in a giant’s fist.
The white light of Order wrapped around the compressed mass, holding it in perfect stillness, preventing it from expanding back into multiplicity or dissolving into the paradoxical nothing from which it had emerged.
The result was a sphere roughly the size of a small building, its surface rippling with patterns that pulsed...five different versions of the same creature trying to exist in the same space, held in place only by Order’s immutable decree that they would remain as they were.
Titano grabbed this impossible sphere with both hands, lifting it above his head with the triumphant grin of a child showing off a particularly impressive catch!
He bounded over to Noah with excitement that made the ground shake with each step, his eyes bright with anticipation.
"Brother!" he exclaimed, presenting the compressed Inevitability like a trophy. "How rich can I get with this?"
The massive sphere of compressed impossibility pulsed with its own malevolent light, tentacles occasionally breaking through the surface only to be immediately pulled back by Order’s binding. It was, Noah had to admit, one of the most unusual gifts he had ever been offered!
Sigrid stood nearby, the white light still dancing in her eyes as she observed the aftermath of her intervention.
The casual display of Order’s authority had transformed the entire battlefield, turning what should have been a desperate struggle for survival into something almost anticlimactic.
Yet Noah could see the satisfaction in her expression...this was what she was meant to do, what her entire existence had been shaped to accomplish!
The Living Doorway around them had grown quieter, as if Order’s presence had reminded it that there were rules even chaos had to follow.
The flaming obsidian walls still burned, but they burned correctly now, providing light and heat in proportions that made sense!
The path ahead remained treacherous, certainly, but it was a comprehensible danger rather than an assault on the very concept of meaning.
Noah looked at the compressed Inevitability, then at Titano’s eager expression, and finally at Sigrid’s quietly triumphant stance.
Here, in this place of impossible danger, surrounded by beings whose power transcended normal understanding, he found himself genuinely amused by the sheer absurdity of it all.
A being who could shatter Royal Living Existences wanted to learn about wealth. The future Living Order was discovering her purpose through battle. And he, Noah Osmont, stood in a Living Doorway of the Loom being offered compressed Inevitabilities as if they were particularly interesting shells found on a beach.
"Well, brother," Noah said with a smile that carried genuine warmth, "Let me tell you exactly how rich this can make you..."
The sphere pulsed with malevolent promise, Order’s light keeping it stable, while somewhere in the shadows, Altheon and Thessaly watched this situation with grim shock and coldness!
Shock at the power of THE Living Order as...she has yet to recover to the level of a Prime Living Origin, right?
Grimness at the fact that Noah Osmont, this Fold Dweller, was being gifted essentially 5 Inevitabilities in one as...what could someone like him even do with it?!
