Chapter 1115: The Final Race (Part 12)
Chapter 1115: The Final Race (Part 12)
“Hmm?” Orakha frowned once he finished his cleaning session in the Transcended Plane. There was a handful of existences in the Transcended Plane at present. They were all existences he had failed to remove.
Zhya and Wally were nearby. They were those he allowed to stay, since their abilities worked well to hold back the Brood Mother. The Brood Mother was the third existence, who Orakha intended to concentrate upon next to eject out of the Transcended Plane.
The fourth was a Brully who had travelled the deepest into the Transcended Plane. Orakha’s attempt upon the latter seemed to have failed, as a certain field of psychokinesis covered the Brully. ’How does a Gold Grade Pranic Beast…’
He eyed the Brully, paused for a few seconds in confusion, and then uttered in disbelief, “No way…”
“Inala?” He didn’t think that was possible. However, upon seeing the fifth existence, Grehha, who stood near one of the portals, Orakha realised the possibility of the situation, ’Grehha was just consumed by the Brood Mother. However, the fact he’s here can only mean he has a revival method.’
’Is it Blola?’ He frowned and then diverted his gaze to the sixth and seventh existences, who had just entered the Transcended Plane, breaking through his barricade, ’Blola, and that’s…Barla?’
Barla was at the 10-Life Stage, fully geared up for battle. Her sharp presence prickled Orakha’s skin as he eyed the eighth existence that had just barged into the Transcended Plane, ’He managed to enter so quickly?’
It was Nirat, covered in dust, but emanating a bloodthirsty presence as he glared at the Brood Mother. A wart popped on his forehead, which he prickled spontaneously after, focusing solely on his target.
“You know…” Orakha then glared at the final individual, which was the severed torso of a Mystic Human, “You’re like an undying weasel.”
There was no response from the severed torso however, as it continued to bleed. A piece of Rirenal clamped upon the torso and promptly threw it towards the portal. Only then was a reaction, as a metre-long Mystic Ewworm jumped out and coiled into a ball.
“Everyone’s here, huh?” The Mystic Ewworm commented, “This takes me back.”
“Well,” The Mystic Ewworm eyed Grehha and chuckled, “Most of them, that is.”
“My poor Resha remains dead, huh?”
Veins popped in Grehha’s eyes as he breathed out a thick mist to cover his position. He used it as a defensive means to breathe his own influence into himself while a Transcendent targeted him with its influence. This was how he could survive without too much issues.
“Oh, thank you.” The Mystic Ewworm assumed the appearance of Brangara and surveyed the place as a Transcendent targeted him. The influence, however, didn’t seem to affect him much and instead gave him free knowledge, which he accepted, “I would like it if more of you targeted me at once.”
“That way, I can walk faster…” He observed the figure of Inala running farther away, “That’s someone I don’t recognise. And…how can it run so easily?”
“Oh, it’s just like the Attributed Region, huh?” Brangara revealed a wide grin and stared at the figure of Mahira Tusk, “I always wanted to see you. And…”
He burst into a sprint and closed in upon Mahira Tusk’s dancing figure. Prana surged into his fist as he cranked up his attack using psychokinesis. Right as he was about to target Mahira Tusk, he cranked his torso and twisted into his Mystic Ewworm form to evade the entity that had appeared defensively before Mahira Tusk.
“You too are my target.” Brangara chuckled as he landed a couple metres behind Mahira Tusk, and peeked from beside her hips to stare at the figure of Renduldu.
“Empyrean Boar King…you look different somehow…” Renduldu uttered as quickly, a knowing expression appeared on his face, “You’re not Brangara.”
“I am indeed him,” Brangara commented as he casually refined the Transcendent influence incident upon him, gained the benefits from each, and spread his arms wide, “And now, I intend to beat the living shit out of you.”
Minor Treasure—Spirit Puppet!
“But first,” He pointed the Tratham gun in the direction of Inala and fired off a dozen Spirit Puppet Slips.
“Either kill it or at least, hold that Brully back.” Upon seeing the Spirit Puppet Slips surround Inala, Brangara focused his attention upon Renduldu, “Now…”
His eyes then shivered upon seeing a large forest spring into existence near one of the portals. And then, one of the vines coiled around an individual and assumed a throwing stance.
“Go!” Blola uttered as he launched Barla into the sky, “Claim the Major Treasure of Seat of Transcendence.”
A Mystic Tentacle Transcendent promptly moved under Barla’s flying figure and poured its influence into the latter, only to stare helplessly as Barla wasn’t even in the slightest affected.
It would be strange if she were affected. After all, not only was she at the 10-Life Stage, but was also armed with the thing that generated so much influence, it was changing her fundamentally. Its base alone was Prana Circuit, not to mention the remaining ninety-nine Natures working in harmony.
State of Harmony—Astral Puncture!
Thanks to its influence, Barla wasn’t affected much by even a Mystic Transcendent’s influence. The Transcendent influence that could permeate into the Transcended Plane was only a portion of the original, meant to benefit any native that could endure it for a minute.
Therefore, it didn’t affect Barla in the slightest as she made a beeline towards the Seat of Transcendence. Of course, she was still more than 250 kilometres away when a Rirenal bracelet appeared around her neck and forcefully yanked her backward.
Barla grabbed the Rirenal bracelet and shattered it apart. However, her momentum was negated by then, causing her to helplessly fall to the ground. The shattered Rirenal pieces vanished post a golden flash.
Boom!
Right as her feet were about to touch the floor, a Rirenal Spirit Weapon in the shape of a bracelet clamped upon her legs and yanked her backward. The force tilted her body and caused her face to slam into the floor.
“Dammit!” Barla grunted and flailed her hand to scratch at her ankle, only to see the Rirenal bracelet let go of its hold, swerve through her arm’s motion path, and clamp upon her biceps. And then, it pulled her further.
She flexed her arms to send the clamps away when another appeared at her beck, back, and hips to simultaneously force her away. And while she struggled against the endlessly appearing clamps, while her body was getting dragged away from the Seat of Transcendence at a rapid pace, a clump of Prana manifested behind her.
Secondary Nature—Prana Solidification!
Amplified by Orakha’s Rirenal build, it was significantly more potent, as the clump exploded and sent Barla skidding further away. The blast barely dusted her skin. However, it did succeed in moving her by a bit over hundred metres.
And since it worked, Prana clumps began to systematically appear before her, all while Barla had to defend against the Rirenal clamps working on dragging her away.
“Tch!” She split into ten bodies and glared at the sky, watching Orakha casually keep pace with all ten of her bodies, “Come closer!”
“And what?” Orakha’s shout echoed near her, “Get close enough to engage in close combat, which is your forte? Or give you the opportunity to fire one of those spears at me?”
Even if Orakha hadn’t witnessed Astral Puncture firsthand, he did go through the Information Slips containing the ability’s use. Even the Celestial Boar couldn’t bear it, much less him.
Therefore, Orakha simply had to stay beyond Barla’s reach, which he easily could.
[Don’t worry about him. Get going!]
Blola’s voice thundered across the region as his Transcendent Eater form expanded rapidly. His roots stretched widely while clearly avoiding the immobile Brood Mother. And as they stretched, fruits spawned without limits.
Some of the Transcendent Eater’s roots extended through the portal and dug into the region outside, drawing in resources to keep spawning useful Pranic Beasts that can divert some of Orakha’s attention away from Barla.
And the best way to do that? They raced towards the Brood Mother in efforts to wake her up.
“You goddamn moron!” Orakha cursed in response as his Rirenal Spirit Weapons cut through the Pranic Beasts like they were weeds. While doing so, he was steadily moving forward too, consistently tanking Transcendent influences.
But the moment he gained some advantage, there was a golden flash. Orakha lifted his head and stared at the old man who hovered at his eye level. A moment’s surprise later, he greeted the other party, “Greetings!”
Brimgan Ancestor—Hannal Brimgan!
He was the Brimgan Royal who had succeeded in fusing Sumatra Gold into his Human Avatar and boasted strength rivalling a Mystic Tentacle. He had then become a Mystic Transcendent, becoming the Brimgan Royalty’s first Transcendent.
“Is that Rirenal?” Hannal Brimgan’s eyes widened in surprise and he burst into laughter, “To think it was possible. Then, tell me this.”
His breathing grew laboured in excitement as he asked, “The peak…have you reached it?”
“Yes,” Orakha revealed a slight smile, “The State of Harmony is called Brimgan Guardian. I am the second one to reach this level.”
“Second?” Hannal Brimgan’s body trembled violently, “HAHA! To think I can witness my plan into fruition. And there’s two of you?”
“HAHAHA!” He burst into laughter and continued laughing for a few seconds, following which he sighed, “It’s for the best you try to avoid me when trying to claim the Seat of Transcendence.”
“I won’t need too long to defeat you.” Orakha said in confidence.
“However,” Hannal Brimgan eyed below, focusing on the Brood Mother, “That monster cannot be stopped when she starts moving. I don’t want you to tire out before that.”
“And look,” He pointed at Mahira Tusk, “Kill her quickly, and you’ll obtain a key. With that, you can speed to the end without any issues and claim the Seat for yourself.”
“She’s the easiest target at the moment, since all her attention is focused on that monster.” Hannal Brimgan uttered, “And besides, unless it’s a sneak attack, the Transcended Plane will retract her before she’s killed. It will then spawn her anew.”
“I understand,” Orakha said as his figure burst with a golden flash, resulting in hundreds of exchanges with Hannal Brimgan every second. It was like thunder being fired off hundreds of times every second, the rampaging sounds were extremely grating to the ears.
Orakha sneaked out a Spirit Weapon to target Mahira Tusk, accelerating it with all his might. Renduldu promptly took action and erected multiple barriers of Prana, which transformed into a mineral with properties similar to a Panger’s Shield of Thorns.
Upon clash, Orakha grunted in pain as his Spirit Weapon grew weak. But the moment Renduldu focused on Orakha, his attention on Brangara slipped for a moment.
Brangara closed in on Mahira Tusk and assumed his Empyrean Boar King form, about to swallow the latter whole. But suddenly, he paused moments before clamping his mouth shut, in realisation, ’I have seen Renduldu in his peak. He was a terrifying schemer. But he hadn’t done any of that at present.’
“Oh…SHIT!” In slow motion, he turned around, and glared at the Rutham Human Avatar form of a Brully that was fighting against his puppets, “That’s not the Brully.”
He bellowed, “That’s ARMOURY!”
“What?” Orakha was stunned as he tanked some hits and burst past Hannal Brimgan to flash towards the spot with the fighting Brully. Using a clamp, he lifted the Brully and shattered it into pieces. Only then did he notice that hidden in the floor underneath a cloud of murky psychokinesis was a hole, leading to the outside world of Sumatra.
’He’s scaling the distance from the outside!’ Orakha gleaned in realisation and then stared in the direction of the Seat of Transcendence. There, drilling out of the floor right before the Major Treasure was a human, his visage unfamiliar.
And then, the human jumped into the pillar of light.
