I'll Surpass The MC

Chapter 1099: Calamity Recovery (Part 2)

Chapter 1099: Calamity Recovery (Part 2)

’There?’

’Is it there?’

’I can feel something there!’ A thought ran through the Brood Mother’s mind. She was plagued by hunger, to seek out any and all traces of Unlimited Predator and consume it. But that only served to progress her hunger further.

The only solution to it, was to satiate the hunger. As she moved, a spore popped out of her head, formed an eye, and then blinked for less than a tenth of a second before losing light in itself.

For that short duration, the Brood Mother was able to see. She moved, in hopes she could alleviate her curse. She moved, in hopes to find something that would reduce the intensity of the hell she was experiencing.

’Hello! Helooo!’ Her mind voice echoed in her mind, behaving like another voice as the mental echo was treated as a different person. ’I am hungry too! I am hungry!’ The most update n0vels are published on novèlfire.net

’I want to eat something nice! I want to eat something!’

The first statement echoed in her mind and reverted to her after she thought the second statement. This way, she was somewhat conversing with herself. That was all she could, or rather, that was all she did while locked up in a devouring feast with the Celestial Boar.

Sniff!

Tears streamed down her eyes and fell upon the land to spawn a group of centipede-like Pranic Beasts. Her sense of hunger directed her towards a few other locations too, locations where she felt traces of Unlimited Predator.

However, even to her, it was blurry at best. And hence, she moved towards the location where it seemed like she had a chance to alleviate her symptoms, at least a little.

Drenta Vines!

The heavily guarded gates leading to the PariBota Kingdom saw a visitor, a metre-tall girl wearing glistening yellowish-white grown that seemed to have been sown using strings of Prana.

She stood a couple kilometres before the gate’s entrance. One of the guards noticed her, but before he could comment to a nearby guard, the silhouette disappeared. “What was that?”

He rubbed his eyes, “Am I hallucinating?”

A nearby guard groaned, “I told you to get some shuteye whenever possible. Now, you’ve started hallucinating…”

The guard’s tongue felt slushed all of a sudden, unable to form human words. Somehow, he could feel it. Mixed in the air seemed to be moisture, something that had originated from a being of cosmic proportions beyond his wildest hallucinations.

The guard blinked once and his vision compounded, now resembling a honeycomb. Strangely, his head bulged while resembling a mosquito, dwarfing the rest of his body. Then, his body split into two, with the mosquito part going separate while the rest of the human body remained behind, turning into a quadrupedal monster with crystalline outgrowths.

His Human Avatar had morphed to transform into a head for this form. Split into two, both halves were able to recognise each other for a few seconds, screaming in horror.

And then, they clashed, having lost their original sentience.

“Ahh…AAhhh!” A Free Human clutched his face and pulled the cheeks to rip apart the skin, revealing a mass of pulsating flesh that ballooned to spawn a variety of fist-sized creatures.

All the Iron Grade Free Humans lost their sanity and turned into Iron Grade Pranic Beasts. The Silver Grade Free Humans were worse off, mutating halfway to be human-Pranic Beast hybrids, with the advantages of neither.

Their Life Stage bodies all split off to become unique hybrids of their own. And the strain from the transformation and their unstable states caused their Spirit Containers to shatter.

In pain, they screamed, for without Prana, they were unable to heal from whatever mutations were happening endlessly across their bodies.

The ones with Gold Grade strength were worst off.

“Koff…kahhh…” The PariBota King gasped for breath as he stared at the metre-tall girl before him. a glance, and his eyes turned into centipedes, which dangled out of his sockets and scratched up his face.

A sniff and his nose turned into a creature bearing resemblance to an earthworm, experiencing an extreme boost to the olfactory senses, which was horror, for the centipedes oozed a pungent odour.

[Hungry!]

A hand stretched into his body, appearing weak and fragile. However, as if dipping into a bucket of water, the hand sank through his body and extracted a treasure.

Minor Treasure—Gold Boost!

“You…!” He roared at the top of his lungs and unleashed his strongest attack, which ended up doing nothing. The other party didn’t even notice his actions and merely flickered before another minister with gold Grade strength.

He too had a Gold Boost Minor Treasure, which ended up getting extracted.

“Gah…Khahhh!” The PariBota King coughed and violently pulled out his tongue, which had turned into a serpent and was trying to crush his bones by coiling around, internally that is.

He then yanked out his eyeballs and noticed that he was able to see now. However, it wasn’t his eyes that had regenerated. No, his Prana had merely adapted to the changes. Now, through the eyes of the two centipedes dangling out of his eyes, he saw. And then, he puked in horror.

“No…No! No! No!” Bluish-black blood, extremely murky, dripped out of his eyes, as if the centipedes were drooling. The PariBota King sprinted towards his kids, who had turned into grotesque Pranic Beasts.

The Prince had transformed into a monster, to the extent he used the remainder of his sanity to kill himself. The Princess, once a delicate maiden with semi-decent strength, now sported two hulking arms that made the rest of her body look like an ant.

These arms were constantly bombarding the palace. Growing on her back, like a hunch was a small hill, which oozed an acidic solution capable of melting through solids. Like a volcano, it spewed endlessly, destroying the palace floors in a matter of seconds.

“S-Stop!” The PariBota King could only plead his daughter to stop the rampage. However, the latter couldn’t react.

“Guahh!” There was a soft sound, a mixture, very soft and subtle, but oozing death and despair. Slowly, praying in desperate hopes, the PariBota King turned slowly, and then, he screamed in insanity, “NOOOOO!”

Walking towards him slowly was a bipedal creature, resembling a Pranic Beast. Unlike the rest, this one’s mutations seemed more stable. However, found at the neck, lodged into the body like a turnip were the heads of Free Humans, alive, and screaming in pain.

Embedded in the centre of their foreheads was a crystal, the mineral being the same as what made up their Human Avatars. It oozed its presence and polluted the foreheads, which caused the heads to scream in pain.

All heads belonged to the most powerful Free Humans in PariBota Kingdom. One among them, was the Queen. She still retained her sanity. As the monster walked towards the PariBota King, she locked eyes with her husband, stared at the latter’s appearance, let out a despairing smirk, and exploded the crystal in her forehead.

Her head splattered, for she felt death was infinitely better than whatever nightmare this was. And hence, she committed suicide. However, as if mocking her resolve, the injured region regenerated on the monster.

“No…” She came to a realisation that she was now the monster’s body part. As a result, even if she were to kill herself, it was no different from an injury. The monster would regenerate as long as it had sufficient Prana.

“Kill me…My King!” The Queen roared, “KILL ME! Kill me, Kill me, Kill MEEE!”

She shouted nonstop, her screams accompanied by the rest of the heads on the monster.

The culprit behind this horror wasn’t even aware of what she had caused. Arriving to a stop at the tip of the PariBota Kingdom’s Drenta Vine was the Brood Mother. The eyes she was creating in an effort to see forward were shedding tears, for a fraction of a second before vanishing.

When she teleports to another spot, she was leaving behind the droplets, which turned into mist thanks to her movement actions.

This mist retained enough Prana to affect a large horde of living beings. The Brood Mother was burning through hundreds of units of Prana every second. It was why she was hungry.

Not to mention the excess energy from consuming the Celestial Boar for so long, she also had the Major Treasure of Palm and a bunch of Minor Treasures that she had collected until now. They were valuable snacks that could prevent her hunger from worsening.

As she stood at the tip of the Drenta Vine and stared at the misty expanse downward, faint bone vapour began to ooze out of her body.

Without any means of self-preservation, the Brood Mother fell from the Drenta Vine. The immediate space around her turned semi-solid thanks to the bone vapour, which made her a larger target for the wind blowing through the region.

The wind blew at her with force, but failed to budge her in the slightest. Her figure flickered and reappeared dozens of kilometres away.

Crackle!

Back at the PariBota Kingdom’s Drenth Vine, a crack appeared along its mid-section and progressed rapidly. Then, it started to crumble, having been damaged at its foundation.

The cause? It was the Brood Mother’s weight, which at present, was no different from Resha’s Empyrean Supreme form.

As the vine cracked, countless creatures burst out of the seams, flooding the Kingdom further, adding to the chaos.

As a large piece of the Kingdom fell through the sky, the figure of Brood Mother continued to flicker through space. And soon, it crashed into the Death Tentacle Ruins, targeting Wally, for he had something that seemed capable of alleviating her curse.
