Chapter 830: Chapter 495: Opening the Door [Thanks to Grey Wolf Ah Ah Ah for the 50,000 reward]

Star: “When I said that I have no particular feelings towards humans, I meant it. In my opinion, everyone is just trying to survive, so it’s hard to say who’s noble and who’s despicable. For the Gelasians and other Orion Arm civilizations that we have exploited and modified, humans are pretty much like the Compound-Eyed Observer, right?”

Harrison Clark paused for a moment, “Yes.”

“To ensure their continuing existence, humans have not been shy about depriving other civilizations in the Orion Arm of their rights to live over the years.”

Harrison Clark nodded, “But humans created you.”

“No.” Star shook his head, “It wasn’t humans who created me, it was you.”

“Well, there’s not much difference then. By the way, you just mentioned that Freddy wants to possess dual advantages of humans and quantum intelligence? According to my understanding, there will be negative feedback from that, right?”

Star: “Yes, this will come at a great cost to him.”

“What cost?”

Star: “Nothing in the universe can last forever, including the universe itself.”

“I know.”

“In theory, as long as the chip exists, quantum intelligence can ‘live’ forever because our thinking is very stable. But Freddy seeking both is like a death wish; he’s giving up stable logic in hopes of gaining more randomness.”

Harrison Clark spread his hands, “But I have no way to stop him, so just let him be. At least this means continuing to live in a true sense for him. If he were to be purely intelligent, it wouldn’t be much different from dying.”

Star: “Hm, you seem to be pretty open-minded.”

“Of course. There’s nothing I can’t accept.”

After half a day, Harrison Clark had just returned to the DX1819 Prism Ship when Freddy excitedly contacted him with news of a good or bad nature that he wanted to share.

Freddy told Harrison Clark that he had finally fulfilled Sergey’s long-cherished dream.

He had just swept through hundreds of years of accumulated knowledge of humans in the Orion Arm with the speed of light as a quantum intelligence and now understood the mysteries of ZS Bacteria.

First, Freddy told Harrison Clark that ZS Bacteria was not a life native to the Milky Way Galaxy. This conclusion was common knowledge and not very surprising.

However, Freddy then said that ZS Bacteria did not live in the original three-dimensional space but in Warp Space, which surprised Harrison Clark.

Freddy returned to the Grand Unified formula theory and tried to give Harrison Clark a simple explanation.

Harrison Clark gradually grasped Freddy’s meaning, but he was still puzzled.

In short, ZS Bacteria lived in human bodies, yet at the same time did not.

ZS Bacteria created a “projection” similar to a living organism in the human body through the connection between Warp Space and original three-dimensional space.

“The projection” would gradually overwrite human thought processes, creating subtle interference.

“Freddy, just give it to me straight. Can we protect ourselves against ZS Bacteria or not?”

“Brother, we can’t.”

*sigh*

According to Freddy, ZS Bacteria could even freely fly out of the dome, let alone be blocked by any isolation measures humans could use. There’s no way to defend or avoid it.

To defeat ZS Bacteria, there’s only one way – confront it directly, using human willpower and intelligence to create quantum rules with strength far beyond the “projection” of the ZS Bacteria until the interference is overwhelmed.

Twenty-sixth-century Sergey was immune to ZS Bacteria, which he, Willian, and Harrison Clark initially thought was due to genetic reasons.

Now, they seem to have misjudged this.

It’s evident that Sergey was also an infectee, but he was so focused on his work, and his thought storms were so intense that they overpowered the interference of ZS Bacteria.

“Well, since there’s nothing we can do, let’s just leave it at that.”

Harrison Clark spread his hands.

At this point, he was no longer concerned about whether new information was good news or bad news.

As long as there was news, it was good news.

After chatting with Freddy, Star asked Harrison Clark, “The Blade Mantis still trapped are stubbornly resisting – do you want to release them one by one and slowly crush them to death?”

Harrison Clark shook his head, “No, we already have enough captured warp cores. For now, leave them be; they can still help others practice. Let’s do the important things first and chat with the Compound-Eyed Observer inside.”

He turned a corner in the corridor and saw hundreds of humans.

Aside from dozens of fully armed Star Shadow Warriors and special forces soldiers, there were even more men and women dressed in work clothes.

These were technical staff quickly mobilized from nearby human battleships and space experts in linguistics, biology, anatomy, quantum thought, artificial intelligence, and professional interrogators.

Now, Harrison Clark wanted to cut open the Compound-Eyed Observer’s large head to see what was inside.

In fact, Star had already been able to open the door for all these people, but for safety reasons, it was more reliable to wait for Harrison Clark, the most powerful force, to return.

The enthusiastic discussion among the people stopped abruptly when Harrison Clark arrived.

Everyone bowed respectfully, their eyes filled with fervent adoration.

“Greetings, Lord Sage!”

“Hello, Lord Sage!”

Harrison Clark smiled faintly and looked over everyone briefly.

Despite his seemingly relaxed demeanor, he was far more excited than the others.

Back then, all he wanted to do was tear off the “mysterious veil” covering the Compound-Eyed Observer’s face.

Later on, he succeeded.

First time, his gaze penetrated the window of a spherical battleship, and he saw the face of the Compound-Eyed Observer.

Next, he hid a bomb in his mouth and detonated it, successfully killing a Compound-Eyed Observer, though later discovered it was just a clone.

At the time, Harrison Clark was smug, but he became disappointed once he realized the individual Compound-Eyed Observer had not truly died.

Eventually, he led a human army to invade the spherical warship and completely destroy it. He did that once, but quickly fell to the Prism Ship army.

He kept moving forward.

In this timeline, Harrison Clark had just recently destroyed a Spherical Battleship.

However, he had calculated that when he destroyed the Spherical Battleship, the total number of Blade Mantis and Compound-Eyed Observers he killed hadn’t reached fifty-five.

At the time, Harrison Clark suspected that the Compound-Eyed Observers on the spherical warship knew the risks and had left the main body on another Prism Ship.

But these were all minor details, not worth worrying about.

However, now, he could not only unveil the Compound-Eyed Observer’s face, but he could also dissect the enemy’s stomach and see the dark insides.

Capturing them alive was much more satisfying than killing them.

“Open the door!”

Harrison Clark shouted.
