I Really Am A Villain

Ch. 1800 - Journey To Jade Court

Xu Zimo had opened his Worldly Blossom for quite some time already.

The Terrestrial Dragon God-Fruit merely served as a catalyst, drawing out the accumulated foundation for the Terrestrial Blossom. Even so, the Terrestrial Blossom itself was still an exceedingly rare treasure.

This was the Lord of Death expressing goodwill.

Once he opened the Celestial Blossom as well, Xu Zimo would truly become a Three Blossoms powerhouse.

Most importantly, it was the unification of the Three Blossoms.

When he had previously consumed Primordial Flame’s True God Blood, Xu Zimo had already experienced that kind of terrifying power.

It was the kind of strength that could intoxicate a person.

Xu Zimo sensed his current condition and only then began to observe his surroundings.

This was no longer Death Spirit Island.

Black mist filled his vision. The mist churned violently, as though it were a living entity itself.

Yet it did not obstruct sight. Through the black mist, one could clearly see the map of the entire Mirage Tides Heaven.

As mentioned before, the Black Whale Sea was a forbidden zone, with only Death Spirit Island within it.

Beyond the Black Whale Sea lay another world, the true world of the Mirage Tides Heaven.

Xu Zimo lowered his head and realized he was standing high above the clouds.

In this world, countless islands floated through the void.

Looking closer, he discovered that the islands were not truly floating. Beneath each one stood colossal demonic beasts.

These beasts stood in the void itself.

Each of them carried a massive island on its shoulders, wandering aimlessly through this heaven and earth.

The sight before him was profoundly shocking.

“What are they doing?” Xu Zimo asked.

“Manifesting the value of existence,” the Lord of Death replied.

“When the Chaos Burial Heaven was destroyed, countless beings died. Although I transformed the entire Chaos Burial Heaven, some obsessions were too deep. They fused together, becoming neither living nor dead. This is the only way I can slowly wear down their obsessions.”

“So many years have passed, and they still haven’t been erased,” Xu Zimo murmured.

He looked at those enormous figures. What composed them was not flesh and blood, but terrifying malicious intent.

It sent a chill through one’s entire being.

Xu Zimo also noticed that above every island, within the black mist, there was white mist interwoven among it.

The white mist was devouring the black mist.

Though this devouring was like a drop in the ocean, it persisted relentlessly, as if water dripping on stone.

“This is redemption,” the Lord of Death explained.

“Where there is malice, there is naturally benevolence. One yin and one yang make the Dao. Supreme goodness is like water. When things reach an extreme, they turn around.”

“Balance,” Xu Zimo said after taking in the layout before him.

“Exactly. Whether good or evil, balance is the key,” the Lord of Death nodded approvingly.

“The laws of all things cannot escape balance, just like the coexistence of yin and yang in this world.”

Xu Zimo nodded.

He agreed with this view.

When he had once created a world in the past, he had followed the same principle.

Once balance was broken, destruction was not far away.

Xu Zimo continued observing the surrounding islands.

Each island was inhabited by countless spirit entities, no different from humans in appearance.

They were simply accustomed to living in darkness.

Every island also had what was known as hell.

Any being guilty of evil would be imprisoned there.

It was essentially a prison, just called by a different name in this world.

And the Lord of Death was the ruler here. The entire world was under his control, developing in an orderly manner.

“Where is the teleportation formation?” Xu Zimo asked.

“Look ahead,” the Lord of Death said with a smile, pointing forward.

Among all the islands, there was an empty one at the center.

This island stood squarely in place, with four giants stationed at its corners.

They stood in silence, like statues, exuding a chilling aura of slaughter.

The pressure emanating from the four giants was immense, so overwhelming it seemed capable of crushing the void itself.

“This is where the formation lies. Under normal circumstances, it remains sealed.

I do this to prevent spirit entities from escaping. Using a teleportation formation is the fastest way,” the Lord of Death explained.

“Under normal conditions, the Mirage Tides Heaven is completely cut off from the outside world. The worlds of the dead and the living are different.”

As they spoke, the two stepped through the air and arrived on the empty island.

When the four giants saw the Lord of Death, they all knelt on one knee in utmost reverence.

At the center of the empty island, Xu Zimo saw the formation that led to Jade Court.

The scale of the formation was immense, shaped like a pentagram. At its very center, a storm of spirit energy churned violently.

Boom. Boom.

At a glance, one could tell that this teleportation formation was anything but ordinary.

“This formation isn’t just for teleportation, is it?” Xu Zimo asked.

“Sharp eyes,” the Lord of Death nodded with a smile.

“Besides teleportation, this formation can also slay gods. Real gods.”

“There are true gods in this era?” Xu Zimo asked.

What exactly constituted a god was a difficult question.

Because mortals did not truly acknowledge gods.

Or rather, most people wanted to become gods themselves.

There were divine races in the world, but those were merely races, not true deities.

“The people of the Heavenly Court call themselves gods. Let’s just call them gods for now,” the Lord of Death said with a smile.

“In the battle back then, at least a hundred gods died beneath this formation.”

“You’ve fought the Heavenly Court before?” Xu Zimo asked in surprise.

“What was the outcome?”

“Of course I lost,” the Lord of Death said calmly.

“If I had won, would the Heavenly Court still exist? But they didn’t come out unscathed either.”

“Interesting. It seems the Heavenly Court is exceptionally powerful, likely the strongest among the Nine Heavens,” Xu Zimo said.

“That’s not wrong. You can think of them as the spokespersons of the Heavenly Dao,” the Lord of Death replied.

“In that battle, one hundred million Ghost Sovereigns of the Mirage Tides Heaven were mobilized. I even deployed the taboos of the Chaos Burial Heaven. Yet we still lost. The Heavenly Court truly is powerful. However, to the you of the past, the Heavenly Court was nothing. Besides High Heaven, you were number one.”

“I don’t intend to bow beneath anyone,” Xu Zimo narrowed his eyes slightly.

“Not even High Heaven.”

As they spoke, they arrived before the formation. The Lord of Death waved his hand.

A vast power surged forth.

The four giants, as if receiving an order, unleashed their might, shattering everything around them.

Standing at the four corners of the pentagram, they poured all their power into the final point.

At that moment, the formation activated.

A torrent of spacetime power surged skyward, sweeping away all other forces. The black mist dissipated.

A seven-colored teleportation passage appeared.

“Go,” the Lord of Death said.

“No matter what, thanks,” Xu Zimo smiled.

He stepped forward and entered the teleportation formation.

Before the formation fully activated, the Lord of Death reminded him, “This formation leads directly into Jade Court. It hasn’t been used for tens of thousands of years. After you arrive, act according to the situation. Jade Court isn’t very friendly toward beings from the Mirage Tides Heaven.”

“I understand,” Xu Zimo nodded.
